- Inktober 2018 is here!!!
Inktober is a daily drawing challenge for the entire month of October created by Jake Parker, which happens to start on my birthday :) Lou and I are going to try to make a video every other day this month to share the journey with you, but no matter how many videos we end up making I will be doing a drawing every single day!
Last October I spent the whole month watching Inktober vlogs and was really inspired by the talented illustrators who publically committed to the daily drawing. It seemed like they grew so much during the experience and I wanted that too, so I promised myself that 2018 would be the year I no longer just consumed youtube videos about art, but Lou and I would MAKE them too. And I have to say, it's been a pretty incredible way to start off my 28th year on this planet :)

I had a crappy day and was lying in bed on my phone feeling worthless and drained... Watching this video provided a whole new perspective! shooot, really sorry about that mixer machine, i'm trying a new compressor limiter filter on the audio and its supposed to deal with things like that (I edit with headphones too) but it must have slipped through somehow! ---Lou

I now decided to have a black cat in every drawing of mine and I hope he gets to be finding himself in all sorts of trouble this month ;) Good luck with the challenge, and most of all have fun!

you guys eternally inspire me. so so beautiful. Dana's inner beauty radiates through. Lou is so so sweet and kind. Reminds me how my boyfriend made my 21st birthday so special. (He made me and our friends a vegan buffet with potatoes rice beans and salad and played the Beatles Abbey Road album [my favorite] as I entered the house and gave me flowers and balloons.) This is awesome! good luck with inktober! The clips for this are so so beautiful, I just started inktober as well, I'm making an oracle deck and trying to post process videos every day, staring down the barrel of the month is exciting, but also scary! (also, yaaas to that lemon/ginger concoction, my faave drink in cold weather)
