Something just occurred to me. The Balathu and Kurum would have likely survived if they had just stayed in the throne room and waited for the eclipse to pass. Granted they had no way of knowing that and the vamps likely would have just waited

@@zndell no but they would definitely have a better life and a better fate than what actually happened to them.

Actually it's the other way round. One of them survives until main game acts (2003) because they've been through all this, but if they escaped successfully there they would've been dead due to time skip between prologue and act one.

I was kinda pissed when i found out in was just an intro. It was brutal, a cool setting, good two lead characters and i thought they were setting up the plot of the guy that tried to kill the other and now theyre teaming up, and it felt real. Woulda been super dope to play in 2200 bc middle east

This story is pretty realistic excluding the Alien stuff , the emperor of akkad did raid the sumerians and enslaved them , although he made them live under his empire as normal civilians .
Well they did bable on about aliens 5000-1000BC and such tales are confirmed by other global and remote cultures. I’d say the bit about the foundations of the Middle East are echoed in the game too. Not as close tho.
@@jayaitche3429 the devs know more than you would like. The new games starts in the Worlds Fair Chicago, the start of the new world order and destruction of the old sorld remains. Its too obvious. Including all other symbolism in the games and topics
Around this time, it was very hard to say someone was Akkadian/Sumerian, those 2 cultures were already mixed with eachother by the time Naram-Sîn was the ruler of Akkad.
@AbuHajarAlBugatti or the devs just figured they'd be scary settings, and you're a paranoid schizophrenic.
I find it odd that they portrayed the Akkadians and Gutians as being Black when Mesopotamians were a Semitic people so they should have casted Middle Eastern actors

Same. My Eric is killed because I brought infected Clarice, I made the wrong choice in the music room and had Rachel executed, and I accidentaly killed Nick in the coccoon bomb planting scene because my PC had low specs and I failed Nick's QTE due to lagging.😭

Ummm why are they portraying these ancient Mesopotamians to look like Africans?
Didn’t they literally make a game based off of indigenous culture (wendigo, totems, the butterflies on said totems). Modern day Mesopotamia is located in the middle east. So they’d definitely not be pale skinned with blonde hair and blue eyes.

@@mrgrey361 I literally just said that it’s more than just black and white. Ancient Mesopotamians came in all different shades of brown. Even the extras in the game came in lighter skin tones.

Yeah but if its going for alien as the enemy so many games done that so practically it seems lazy expected something with more darkness I just hope there are twists to the plot otherwise I'm making all wrong choices
