It's just illusion of Joker's darkest nightmare that he's not recognized as batman's arch nemesis , But The real of batman's arch Nemesis is still Joker.
@@wingsentertainment3686 He means that originally The Penguin was always meant to be Batman's nemesis since the beginning of Batman in comics, however due to the popularity of Joker, I guess that is why he's regarded as Batman's nemesis.
This entire ending is fucking *PERFECT.* Turning the fear gas on Crane, Bruce being unmasked on TV and on top of all that, the joker's ultimate fate is one of the best endings I've ever seen.
Imagine playing a horror game and being hunted by a monster. You escape it, you hide from it, you run for it, but at the end it catches you... and it's Batman. All along you were a criminal.
Bruce is scared of becoming his inner self the joker. Bruce basically created him when he fell in to a vat of chemicals(joker). But before all this joker supposedly killed bruces parents and then said the famous line" have yoo ever danced with the devil in the pale moonlight". This sets batman off or bruce and goes to fight crime.
So scarecrow screwed himself, he brought forth batmam's biggest fear, which is him becoming joker, and then he brought forth jokers biggest fear of him being forgotten
This is the best version of Scarecrow. Not necessarily crazy or unhinged, but crazily hinged. He speaks so calmly and controls this whole scene with only a gun. He was so eager to unmask Batman in this momemt because he knew that would be his final nail. He had genuinely believable motives, and is just so much more captivating to watch and fight, he has a sense of mystique about him that I feel we lost in the joker a long time ago. John Noble is a great voice actor
Gotta disagree there. He's essentially just another Hugo Strange from the lecturing dialogue and the fact he just stands around without doing shit, with everything that made him memorable in this universe through the first game being removed (except for the finger claws, but they dont look as good).
The joker isn’t gone, he is locked away deep in his Bruce’s mind. A metaphor for how we all have demons that we have to fight, and while we might not ever get rid of them we can learn to shut them out
The problem is that Bruce became joker as his biggest fear was him losing control and the joker himself, then Joker became Batman, because Batman was his biggest fear (and the fact that because of him he could be forgotten). However, in the end, Bruce did not come back, only the Batman, which means he doesn’t have anything human within him, as Batman has no fear (unlike Bruce)
But according to head space, with a little bit of meditation and practice, we don’t need to shut them up, and can accept these thoughts as simply thoughts and nothing more. Start your free trial today
@@Needler13 Negative. Troy Baker performed the Joker for Arkham Origins. Which was a prologue story to the Arkham series. Asylum/City/Knight was performed by Hamil. *Edit: Troy Baker DID however play Two Face in this rendition of the Arkham game.
I just realised first part of cutscene looks like the part of cutscene in Batman: Arkham Asylum after fake screen glitch. Even the theme sounds familiar
He was easily the best part of the game. I'd love him popping up randomly with his darkly funny comments. But the Arkham games are the saga of Batman and Joker, he couldn't possibly have not been in it.
it prob woulda been boring asf big huge time like thos so called fans they didnt want joker in that game and didnt understand why idiots dont listen throu out the storyline lol. glad it was there tho it was amazing
Batman needed scarecrow to inject him with fear toxin to show Bruce’s fear which is becoming joker then after he injects him again but this time showing jokers fear which is being forgotten. Batman successfully defeated joker by blocking him and putting him in the back of his mind. Thus not having the mind control of joker. I know it’s kind of complicated trust me I had no idea what was up when I was playing! Have a good day!!🙌🙂
This isn't actual Joker. Joker is dead. This is Batman's depiction of the Joker's ghost. So Batman figured dead Joker is afraid of being forgotten, and it came true in Batman's mind.
@@tottenhamhotspur3464 I think the official explanation is that he's always experimenting with toxins and testing them on himself, so he's built up crazy resistance over the years.
Yup, joker, as joker, in the body of joker. Has been exposed to so many toxins and chemicals that he's nigh on immune. Ivy's plants don't work on him, and neither do crane's toxins. But the infection put an exact copy of joker's mind behind the wheel of bruce wayne. Batman's smart and tough, but he's not immune to toxins, as we've seen from the scarecrow events in previous games. It makes sense that if joker feared anything. It would be being just another forgotten "normie."
Brent Jackson Best Joker voice actor. The best live action is Heath Ledger, and Joaquin is right next to him. But you can’t really compare either because they’re both different from each other.
I love how no matter what, Scarecrow was destined to lose. He didn't know that Joker was taking over Bruce's mind and thought that Batman wasn't scared. The second injection made Batman realize Joker's worst fear and used that to seal away Joker. If Scarecrow didn't inject Batman the second time, he would have created The Batman Who Laughs and would've probably died at that moment.
That's why I've said that when we see Joker in Batmans place with Scarecrow, it is simply to show US who is in control. Scarecrow, Robin and Gordon just see Bruce appearing to break down mentally. That's why afterwards, Bruce is back there physically, cause Joker is gone
First injection: Batman was afraid that he become the joker and he did after the injection Second injection: because he's the joker, the joker afraid of people forgetting him and change him back to Batman Third injection: got overcome the fear.
With the first injection, batman wasn't afraid Bruce Wayne was and after joker took over him his alternate identity batman could fully come out and then he took over joker The third one was useless because no one besides batman was left and batman isn't scared of anyone
It’s sad how even though he overcame the joker toxin he still ends up being a villain like in his vision, Arkham Batman deserved better, rest in peace Kevin Conroy
During his conversation with Crane, Bruce should’ve remained himself just with green eyes. That would’ve been way scarier than swapping him with Joker. Imagine that deep, grim voice of his, spouting Jokers thoughts. Grinning and laughing like a maniac.
See now during the whole murder thing the Joker does I thought they were seeing the Joker killing them. I only just realized that we're seeing Joker while they see Batman.
They were probably doing this with Kevin Conroys (Batman) voice. But i assume it didn't gone well as they imagined, so they did it with Mark Hamills (Joker) voice
Batman is reason why he becomes Joker, Joker is a reason why Bruce Wayne become Batman. Both of each other is reason why they both become Batman and Joker. Of course Joker need Batman. In my opinion Joker is a best Villian even tho he not the strongest but he is a best Villian in my opinion cause of Batman and Joker Orgins story history of these too together.
Ohhhh shit. After all Jason was put through, he’d die of a stroke if he saw Batman become the Joker and then kill everyone. It’d be in bad taste almost, I mean I legit felt tears start to well up when Batman somewhat mends his relationship with Jason. Having him turn around and shoot Jason like “YOU’RE STILL A BITCH, BITCH! HAHAHAHAHA” would just hurt me. I mean BWL is a cruel timeline, but implementing it so soon after giving Jason a bite of hope for a shot at redemption would just be beyond cruel.
that whole cutscene was played like the beginning. hell a thrid time cause the 2nd time is when SCARECROW once again messed with batman and our head when he basically reseted the game
I honestly thought when playing as the Joker and killing Penguin, Riddler and Two-Face, I was actually killing Robin, Scarecrow and Gordon in reality. Every time I killed someone and heard that muffled noise (Alfred pleading to stop.) I was thinking Batman actually lost it and Joker won. It was a chilling thing to think.
redyulan86 I thought the same,I didnt even kill the penguin for that reason, and left the women that riddler holds alive(I hope I´m not the only one that knows that works)
It's crazy that Mark hamill and Kevin conroy have been working together for over 23 years. The start of which was 1992 Batman the animated series and 2015 Batman Arkham knight and beyond...
Dude did anybody else catch the heartbreak when Bruce says “Martha” at the end? You can hear the pain in his voice uttering his mother’s name. Batman ftw.
All REAL and honest ARKHAM BATMAN fans came here to rewatch the real masterpiece. I thoight it wasn't so good, but now i know this is the masterpiece. Rocksteady kills own amazing universe with insane potential. SSKTJL is NOT canonical story and ending for THIS LEGENDARY Batman.
aderose when I played Knight sometimes I would see the asylum out in the distance and think it would be awesome to go back to it while still playing the same game. So while I was excited that he went back, I was disappointed because I was hoping to move around on the island and still see everything they way it was left.
Brent Nevadomski actually i'm fairly sure he tortures Jason before then, batman and him clearly have a big history before asylum because the killing joke, the batgirl dlc, half of the jokers antics and jason todds death(not to mention origins obviously) could only of appeared before then, Joker was sick and dying after asylum and he only met him again in arkham city.
He definitely tortures him before then. Which I think adds fuel to Jason's anger and resentment; hearing that Batman is here on the island and maybe even expecting that he'll be saved and then wind up not being saved. I'm not sure if the game mentions this but it's interesting to think about
Batman really spent an entire game trying to prevent joker from taking over his body and killing people only for Brainiac to immediately succeed at both🤦🏿♂️
My favorite part about the shotgun segment is that you can walk past Penguin. If you do, but then turn around, go back and shoot him, Joker cheerfully declares "Changed my mind!"
That's the result of genius coding. Anticipating the player's moves and making the game react accordingly. Much like Activision. In the epic COD Sniper mission, if you aim at the wrong tower out of the two, Mac prompts, 'No, the square tower.'
Watching joker speak to scarecrow while wondering how Batman looks laughing like a maniac. I wouldn’t be surprised if scarecrow was afraid of Batman in that moment.
There's a random voiceline of one of the Thugs you find around the city after this part saying. "I dunno man, that laugh sounded awfully familiar." or something to that effect.
No, it is the same as he knew his time was short, you are just shallow and this is why it feels like "an entirely different meaning." Mouth-breathers are all the same; stupid, dim, shallow, fickle and weak. Mere intellectuals posing as men.
Despite how sinister Scarecrow is, I do really like how he too is caught off guard upon finding out Batman is Bruce Wayne. You can hear it in his voice.
Fun fact:In Arkahm city, Dr (Hugo) strange (the main bad guy) said in a audio recording something like "you will end where you began", hinting batman (metaphorically) dies in arkham asylum.
I like to think that the Arkhamverse Batman has been with the Justice League for a long time, has been to planets such as Apokolips, etc. , and yet Arkham Asylum is still the most fucked up place he's ever been in.
In the first dose, fear toxins are injected into the Bruce wayne . this was the final push and Joker over took him ... So technically the second dose wasn't injected into bruce, it was injected into Joker .. hence now the joker faces his fear which was the batman .. so the batman takes over the joker and consumes him/overcomes him .. and so the Batman overcomes his Joker Infestation due to his blood .. this is why he wasn't afraid because he locked away his only fear .. The Joker .. damn what a plot ..
holy shit i never caught onto that! makes complete sense with all the weeping angel bat statues and joker being afraid of not being remembered you've just made the game better for me dude :p
At this point 14:12 , has anyone else cried yet? I'm not talking about just the dialog. I'm talking about the fact that Mark Hamil retired officially from Joker due to Kevin Conroy's passing. It hits harder than you think.
1:22 „I don’t care for who you are, but they will.“ 2:57 „Wayne? Bruce Wayne“ This Moment when Scarecrow realize that the one who always beats him up is just some rich guy in a bat costume
Just some rich guy? Genius, Mastermind detective, learnt all forms of fighting arts and perfected them, has the most advanced arsenal and a frickin batmobile and wing at his disposal and most importantly has Alfred. I think he is much more than a rich guy.
I love how part of Jokers character is how he isn’t afraid of Batman and doesn’t get how everyone else is, but in his final moments he, like everyone else, is scared, scared of the words “I am vengeance. I am the night. I am BATMAN.”
When you realize this was all 5D chess on Batman’s part. He knew that his biggest fear - what Scarecrow’s toxin would bring out of him - was Joker taking over his body and going on a rampage with all of Batman’s skills and arsenal. But he also figured that Scarecrow would get confused and agitated by the sudden personality shift and inject him again, forcing Joker to face HIS greatest fear; being forgotten and losing his second chance at life. Thus Batman gets rid of his greatest nemesis and is now free to take on Scarecrow without anything to worry about.
16:33 Look after them Jim. Look after them all. You’ve been a great friend. The best I could ask for. You were there at the beginning, and now… you get to see how it ends. This scene means so much after putting countless hours into this game
It's awesome! You know.. I thought this game had everything, but it didn't. The things it was lacking from were in the dialogue where it should've been that cloth sound when moving, that background ambience, it's just music and voice. Don't get me wrong, it's an amazing game. I think with this adding it would've felt much more cinematic.

Well this ending is now ruined. @Joe Marriott not the Bruce, it brought back Batman. Small but very important detail.
Bruce is scared of becoming his inner self the joker. Bruce basically created him when he fell in to a vat of chemicals(joker). The problem is that Bruce became joker as his biggest fear was him losing control and the joker himself, then Joker became Batman, because Batman was his biggest fear (and the fact that because of him he could be forgotten). Joker kill batman and give me Harley she like me
Katz but Harley
Imagine how creepy Bruce must have looked saying that.
16:33 Look after them Jim. Look after them all. You’ve been a great friend. The best I could ask for. You were there at the beginning, and now… you get to see how it ends.
This scene means so much after putting countless hours into this game
who else thinks dc needs to turn their games into movies?
Same with the Spider-Man game for PS4. Funny how DC and Marvel put some of their best stories into videogames instead of movies.
@@Incog2k6 im obsessed with that game and i agree!! spider-man ps4 is my favorite representation of spider-man ever
yeah, this batman character shouldve have started in television not games tbh
I mean I love dc games cuz it’s hmm👌🏻,but when they make movies its not good
Who wants DC and Marvel in same universe?
anyone else want to see batman laughing like the joker instead of jokers model replacing batmans?
That would've been extremely terrifying considering how unnatural it'd be for the stoic and cold Batman.
Joshua Sixx it'd make sense since joker took over batman at that point
yes
XD ya!!
Yas!!! :P
13:37 Anyone else gets goosebumps when he says those iconic lines?
The amount of talent it needed to put this line in the game without it sounding cringy. And how perfectly they pulled it off
@@artofaria Yep I totally agree with you in that one, Kevin conroy mastered the voice of batman and made this his most iconic line 👌
@@StefanST Robert Pattinson has said it now!
8:01 What's scary is that though WE see Joker where Bruce/Batman is, in their eyes, Bat's gone batshit insane and laughing. Now THAT is horrifying!!
The batman who laughs
13:17 This was my favorite part of the game. Hearing that cell coming and hearing Batman walk out saying the very thing that scares Joker. Then Batman beating Joker into the cell and sending him into the abyss and hear Joker say "I need you." Such a great scene right there man.
Kinda feel bad for 🤔 him but then again it's the 🃏 joker we are talking about but still kinda sad 😔
batman: you need to trust me jim
gordon:fine but first i need to ask you something
batman:what
gordon:how do i take off your helmet
batman: touch it at top right side of it
gordon: thanks pal
KillJoy lol
Lol!
KillJoy Aaron
"Harvey dent, can we trust him"
Nice bro
Scarecrow : *injects bruce with fear toxin*
Batman : ROOMBAS! OH MY GOD SLEEVELESS T-SHIRTS,GIRL SCOUTS OH NO PLEASE
LOL
Don’t forget snake clowns
@@s.31.l50 Pfft. Snake Clowns. Spider Snakes are the scariest.
Jingling keys , fun for babies not for batman
Oh yes hot uwu
Rest In Power, Dark Knight

Scarecrow was such a perfect villain in this game. Best portrayal of him by far.
Scarecrow and Joker best Batman villains.
I agree. This scarecrow was much better than the Arkham Asylum one.
Hell the fuck no it was not. He gets completely wasted and sidelined by Joker and Jason Todd.
@@d3athr0ck3r sidelined yes. Wasted no. Having 3 good antagonists really worked for this game.
@@d3athr0ck3r Get fucked, hater.
Still would've liked to see Robin's reaction to Bruce/Jokers laugh cause he's the only one in the room that would know what it means.
Jim already knew too
And Red Hood
Because he saw the broadcast and saw Bruce laughing like Joker realising he was becoming him so he saved his mentor
6:40 Damn, you can hear the pain and desperation In Alfreds voice as he tries everything he can to snap Batman out of it
Well this ending is now ruined.
He blew up his entire mansion to fake his and Alfred's deaths to protect the identities of his family/friends, and disappears underground as a new vigilante who uses fear-toxin to continue protecting Gotham from the darkness.
Then the Justice League appears out of nowhere, they invite Batman to join the League, and he throws his entire plan out the window and agrees without hesitation. only to get shot by Harley Quinn.
Great work Rocksteady, jesus
That game had the SW Sequel Writer’s Special man, it’s disgraceful
Fuck SS: KTJL. The Arkham games should only end here
That is not canon. Batman died in Arkham Knight.
@@ConnorMiller417 Then who's the mysterious bat demon at the ending
