What do you think about the new Chinese attack submarine Type 093B SSN? They just launched another one of those on Bohai Shipyard in Liaoning Province.
Potentially capable of building four boats every year. That is in addition to their existing massive surface vessel yard capacity (and capability), with everything they need locally produced. They have more capacity than the entire West by a very wide margin.
In fact they are capable of building and launching one every 4 months during peacetime. Reports also say during wartime they can build and deploy many times this amount because of its module construction and modules are manufactured in various locations and transported to the shipyard. China expanded its major inland sub-making shipyard to massive proportions. There is nothing in the West that can compete with it.
@@ltribley Exactly the same methods they employ with commercial shipbuilding. Everything is modular, and the only purpose of the yards is to "assemble the construction kit". Also, by spreading construction out over a very large physical area of suppliers, effective damaging of their shipbuilding capacity becomes quite a challenge.
Well, the 52 series are actually Frigates (albeit large ones), so as a multi-role Frigate this is perfectly capable. Furthermore you said 'zero covid' policy tampered with it's production, and you're very much wrong as 052B hasn't been produced for nearly 20 years now. And you can't put 052B and later variants to be in the same scale as apart from hull design they have nothing in common
You need to listen more closely. He was very clear at the beginning that the -052B is not the latest. Before you tell him to do more research, you should watch more of his videos to understand how much he knows (you could start by just watching this one with better attention). Zero-covid policy is affecting this shipyard today, not the production of this ship. Again, pay better attention. The title for this video is not pertaining to just this model (-052B) as this is just one part of many coming out, which will cover China's latest destroyers. He also made this clear in the first 60 seconds and again at the end.
And please, put your link here to the videos you are creating with your superior research.
@@BuergerPT and 052B is not the best destroyer in Chinese arsenal, it has been outclassed in every aspect by successor classes
MTU is from Friedrichshafen Germany , probably Ukraine bought these engines and then sold them to China. MTU purchased DETROIT DIESEL in 1998 from Rodger Penske FYI.
He is talking about a Ukrainian 57,000 hp Turbine DN80 engines. Mtu obviously german.
No,he talked about die Diesel as well, quote: „Maritime Diesel is a….MTU…again an Ukraine engine.“ Listen it up again, he got this wrong. As it is def a German engine.
@@Patrick-pm1sn (MotorTurbineUnion) MTU , after WW!! Germans started building both internal combustion engines and rocket engines . During the WW!! they were know as Maybach DIESEL
What happened to the 52d....or the 55.. classified destroyer but edging towards missile cruiser
and probably built at a fraction of the cost of a LCS lol
built by Russia, around 1.5 billions for 4ships.
so wrong@@weishi9804
Howcome no video on recent Chinese sub that sank
Wow they’re pretty warships
The irony of a shipyard with zero COVID policy building a ship named "The Wuhan"
So the shown capacity of 3600KW (3.6MW) for the Ukraine turbine isn't correct?
Type 730 CIWs I thought had been confirmed as stolen IP of the Dutch goal keeper CIWS system?
Was gonna say... that CIWS looks very familiar.
I see quite a bit of misinformation floating about in this comment section. Also, if you're going to claim to be discussing China's best destroyer you could, you know, discuss their best destroyer rather than a class from the early 2000's.
best? 052B? ? I was so scared that I quickly looked at the time of the video. After watching it, I was even more confused. . .
Isn’t mtu a German diesel engine?
WinMatch just had vid on the 3 new subs in China, the biggest to date in the world at least public.
China's ships are most fearsome because they have super weapons that no one is closed to, The price!!!!.
I see there's a new island off of Iwo Jima. How long before China claims it?
Ever heard about 055B?
Navy, targets and submarines.
Hi Winnie!
I thought MTU diesel engines were German made engines.
He is talking about a Ukrainian 57,000 hp Turbine DN80 engines. Mtu obviously german.
I thought the best Chinese Destroyer is the type 055, no?
Yep 55 or 52D, he has a ship brief on the 55 (might be on RUclips?)
052 is roughly half the size of 055 (the armament).
For now yes, until 055A launches soon, he will get to it in the future coverge, he started with the obselete ships first
@@ZxZ239 I see, I also heard that the second batch of type 55 is currently being put together and they are fully electric power. Looking forward to hear about it more.
@@wangyaohan8824 052B and 052D might as well be completely different ships.
Yes hello, does anyone know why missiles are put on the bow of the ship……is it for buoyancy……if not is there a reason to put on the bow………just space?…….seems a stupid place to put missiles
The type 730 CIWS is a copy of Dutch Goalkeeper system, china bought 2 in 1980s then reverse engineered it.
Only 640 rounds for a CIWS?
It’s interesting they said Russias army was old and low tech as well! Now Russia is gaining ground in Ukraine! Against mostly NATO and US weapons
type 55 when?
Didn't mention the helo.
Is mtu not a german engine
I heard it's made from parts bought at Wal-Mart
Single-Rail launcher? Good Grief Charlie Brown. Thats like using a Bolt-Action rifle in CQB conditions of Stalingrad. We know those results.
Tofu Dreg Destroyer. Nuff said
China is a paper tiger. I have seen how they build homes for their own people. Why should I expect a higher standard for their armed forces?
So I particularly liked the American soldiers who patrolled the streets after the hurricane with fully armed.
Until they turned their rifles on me.🤣
Buy the cheapest you can find because you are cheap, of course its Made in China, it breaks with no suprise = CONFIRMTION EVERTHING CHINA MADE ARE CRAP!!!
Why don't you look at China's space program, they have among the safest record on earth. And I imagine they treat their military stuff with the same quality
My understanding is that the Type 055 is China's best destroyer, and possibly the best destroyer in the world.
Furthermore, my understanding is that the Type 052D (delta) is China's latest and greatest in this class.
You didn’t need to break up this into 3 “lectures”, but perhaps it was better for you financially? One 10 minute video well thought out lecture could have covered everything? Having said that, I do appreciate your efforts in researching & providing information.
dude 052b is definitely not the best destroyer in pla
Considering how tofu dreg projects are so widespread in chinese society i doubt things have changed constructing war ships.
No one knows how good until...
As a military anchor you should at least have some simple military knowledge, the 052B is a very old destroyer ....

isn’t the best Chinese destroyer the Type 055?
This Type 52 B isn't China's best destroyer.. That would be the Type 52 D. Some say it's the Type 55, but that ship is more of a cruiser than a destroyer..
Indigenous weapon systems? Does this include the Tomahawk and Apache.
Any military products that china has been using are experiencing tofu engineering.😂😂😂😂
Misleading title. 052B isn't their best destroyer...
There are many people here overestimating China's naval capabilities. Sorry, but if you can't make semi conductors worth a damn, not to mention plastic, concrete, roads then you won't convince me that your navy is worth the materials you used to build it.
What criteria did you use to call the Type 52 series a "destroyer?"
AFAIK practically everyone classifies it as a frigate and the larger Type 55 as China's latest "destroyer" class although it borders on being so large that it could almost be called a "cruiserl"
US Navy calls the Type 51 and Type 52s as destroyers, never seen them called frigates. The type 55 is debatable about destroyer vs cruiser but I believe the Chinese call them destroyers
052 is destroyer, 054 is frigate, 055 is cruiser sized destroyer, 056 is corvette
