  • Here's my simple DIY ATV Log arch that I built for about $60 with salvaged parts you can find easily. It can be pulled by a ATV, tractor or truck.
Here's a simple way to move logs using a arch, It can be pulled by a ATV, tractor or just about anything, maybe even a team of badgers?
I used a rear trailing arm from a Ford festiva, scrap metal pieces , and built it in about a day. The total cost was about $60.
I used a 1000# boat winch, and the way it uses the log as a pulley,
it lifts at a 2:1 ratio.
I bet you could build it with about any rear cross member from a front wheel drive car, maybe that broken down car on blocks in your back yard?
I'm sure you could spend a lot more money on nicer parts if that's what your into?
Really though I just used parts I had around, and It made moving logs a hell of a lot easier.
What I like about this arch is it lifts the log completely off the ground, keeping dirt and rocks from getting into the bark when moving it to my bandsaw mill.
    Thanks for watching :)
