    This was a very fair, honest and balanced review. I get the whole price thing (which is eye-watering) but, in a few years when you've got past the cost you've got a very special memory - you saw a Beatle up close and playing a LOT of music!

    • @WanderWorksVlogs

      Honestly right, the cost of a second row ticket on its own would have been the best part of £300, if not more. So the soundcheck and merch made up for the rest of it. So when I look at it like that it’s a not too bad of a price to pay for that seat AND the soundcheck AND the merch.

    Appreciate the look at the VIP package. We were at the Saturday night Co-op on cert up in block 314. I have been tempted to do one of the VIP/event ticket packages, although for three of us it would be the cost of a weekend break to NYC - and there is only me as the obsessive Paul fan. That said, I have bought all of the Archive Deluxe box sets and this was my 6th Paul concert. If at least one of you got your money’s worth with the goodies, the soundcheck and the almost-touching-the-stage seat, then it’s worth it. We’ll miss Paul when he’s gone and as for the money - as long as you’re not spending next months rent or mortgage, you can;t take it with you. Great video and thanks again for the ‘look behind the scenes’ of the VIP package.

    I went to both London gigs. On the 18th I also went to the soundcheck. I had the second row and an aisle seat near him so I was super happy. For the soundcheck we all were about half way back by the sound desk. We were told not to film only take pics. We got 50 minutes of him playing and some songs he didn’t do at the evening gig. I personally think it was worth it but he could stand there and read out the telephone directory and I’d be happy.

    • @WanderWorksVlogs
      @WanderWorksVlogs  9 дней назад +1

      I bet that was a lot of fun! And those aisle seats are probably better as you have more room to dance and enjoy yourself! I heard a lady saying about taking photos but nothing about filming, plus there was a security guy right next to me who said nothing, so who knows! Hopefully I didn't do anything wrong. Though to be fair I only filmed little clips as you saw! And yeah, I (Josh) would absolutely do it again, even if my other half maybe wouldn't!

      @ as soon as the evening gig started loads of people rushed down the aisle to the front but the stewards were on it. I heard one saying, “these people have paid a lot of money…go back to your seats” The stewards stood there all night so I had loads of space. Even the chap next to me said it was like I had my own personal steward! 😂 I absolutely would do it again and I wished I’d done it for the second night too but luckily I had a brilliant seat anyway. It was like 3 gigs in 2 days! I’ve now seen him 22 times since January 90 🥰

      @ I was at the lyrics interview at the Royal Festival Hall on the Southbank too! I was upstairs on the balcony in the front row. A few days later me and my husband saw Paul’s lyrics exhibition at the British Library and unbeknownst to us, as we wandered around, went into a section that also had original Beatles lyrics written. Great video guys, I was at the London O2 concert and soundcheck last week, it's been top of my bucket list for some time, so I was lucky enough to get a 'Hot Sound' package, I had to settle for a seat in the 4th row thats all that was left, you were lucky to film the soundcheck, we were all warned it's OK to take photos BUT no video, or else !!! check in was 3-4pm, stood queued for ages, finally got taken to a backstage bar area for a drink and some hot finger food, veggie of course !! then down into the arena around 4.30pm, we were escorted to an area half way down the arena and sat waiting until 5.40pm before Paul appeared on stage , he played for 50 minutes, your Manchester soundcheck seems more professional, more lighting used, I suppose my big complaint was why we couldn't get closer to the stage at the soundcheck, that would have made it more special, after all we all paid a pile of ££££, over £700, I'm glad I did it but wouldn't do it again, it just wasn't special enough to justify the cost.

    • @WanderWorksVlogs
      @WanderWorksVlogs  9 дней назад

      So glad you got to go to the one at the O2 - it looked like an amazing show, tbf! And I didn't hear any warnings and saw plenty of people filming bits, so I got a few snippets for the vlog. I had a security guard right next to me too who saw and was cool with it! And yeah, it's all about that balance between the price you pay and what you get. Some will think it's worth it, others not so much. It's definitely a subjective thing!

No mobiles or internet when John was murdered, and mobiles were just warming up, along with the internet when George succumbed to bloody cancer, what would they make of what is available to Paul and Ringo today? Many thanks again folks, a very good production.

    I did two Hot Sound Packages. Bought it on 2019 and won in (together with the meet and greet!!!) in October this year. I kind of agree with you on the fact that there should be a 'special area' and that is even more noticeable when you're on the standing admission field. If you have the Hot Sound Package, they let you into the field before anybody else. But you have to hold that place for hours with 50.000 plus fans crushing you against the fence. I will say the experience is still great if you stay within the first - let's say - 10 rows. But at the same time, I showed up early for my regular standing ticket in Maracana 16 Dec. 2023 and I managed to get the same spot, just 5 guys away from the stage fence. So it's true it'd be great to have someplace else to relax, specially on open stadiums. A second fence might work, but I don't think they'll make any changes to it.

Thanks for a nice comprehensive review into your experience and thoughts. personally I wouldn't pay that much for a VIP sound check ticket but thought the goodie bag was excellent and much better than the Squeeze one I got recently. What really bothers me though is the price of food and drinks at these venues they are a blatant rip off. This venue is ripping people off left right and centre, we never buy their extortionate drinks either, and they’ll carry on doing it so long as people keep paying it. The acoustic's in the Co-op arena are dreadful, been once that was enough also the seats were way to expensive for what we got. I was lucky enough to see Paul McCartney and Wings in 1979 at the old Apollo in Manchester better seats and acoustic's and a more intimate venue and the tour programs were "FREE" much better than the ripoff you get these days, I do realise that you wouldn't have got the numbers in the old Apollo but I do think that they could have designed the Co-op arena with a better seating layout and also put some thought into buildings acoustics.
