1:50 I actually do remember _The Jetsons,_ but mainly just like a few episodes and the animated movie (the one where they go up to some space station and it ends with George getting the balls to tell off his boss and ends up getting a raise anyway).
Mainly, out of all the classic Hanna-Barbara catalog, I feel that _The Jetsons_ has the least ability to stand on its own: the most interesting quality it has is basically being a visual time-capsule of just how fantastical the people of that era envisioned the future being; and it honestly only really works when it also has _The Flintstones_ running alongside it as a companion piece, not just because of the opposing aesthetics of their settings but also because despite both being basically just animated 50's-era family-centered sitcoms, the different time-periods add just enough twists to that formula to help it stand out not only from each other but from the rest of the genre. From what I remember, George and Judy Jetson just don't have the same character depth that Fred and Wilma Flintstone have; their kids and even Rosie the Robo-Maid have more interesting personalities, and also the adult Jetsons don't have a neighbor duo to bounce off of like how the Flintstones had the Rubbles, so the family dynamic was much more of the show's focus.

One forgets how old Betty White was. She was a senior citizen when Gen-X were kids. I was a kid when GG aired. My grandma loved the show. That was probably 35 years ago or so.
I miss those days. The future was wide open. I was reading a drawing like a fiend. Life might not have been always great back then bat that was no fault of my family. I felt safe and loved and I naively believed that society would at least possess some modicum of normalcy.
Now I live in an age of degeneracy. I can trust nearly nobody except my family and friends. It has become popular and universally applauded for people to hate me because of my skin color, my gender, and my seggsual preference (women). The XXs have been unmarriageable for decades and I live in a city with a pathological inter-personal environment where it's best to never associate with anyone.
I enjoy my job but even my relatively high pay it's tough to live where I do and get ahead in any meaningful way. Between business expenses, taxes, rent, and energy costs, I'm just treading water and trying to get out from under that year off from Covid which obliterated my savings and put me in some debt.
Every generation after the Boomers have been set up to fail by the boomers. They exploit us all, and each successive generation has it worse than the last. I knew things were going to fall apart but I didn't think they'd collapse so fast.
And the Boomers still cling to their exploitation machines -- the greedy psychopaths. Gen-X aren't much better -- they spawned this woke generation to begin with.
      So it goes.

The show will be forever associated with Anor Londo for me. They were there when I beat Ornstein and Smough. This actually hurts to see. What the fuck man...

Even the damn Christmas movie last year that was made by the people that robot chicken and can still get a chuckle and smirk from the clips out of me. But just a few clips of this remake didn’t even get a single smirk out me. I know this is stupid sounding to put on here. Just feel this can easily explain the skills of the people working on this show.

Want to know why they are scared of original ideas? It is mainly because of the inherent risk of people not liking them, or that to propel them into success requires a lot of time and resource investment to take them off the ground. The funny thing is that many of the franchises they are now trying to milk to death, like Star Wars or Ghostbusters, would not make it in the current market for being to "different" or risky. Can you imagine a young George Lucas, on an alternate 2020s in which the Star Wars movies had never existed, walking into a movie mogul office and telling him: "I need about 100 million dollars for this fantastic space opera/adventure I just had" ?
I have learned this first hand by writing a dozen screenplays and novels which, altough they garnered nice reviews, barely made enough money to pay for the ink cartridges for my printer.

I remember back in the late 70s and early 80s, there was an effort to re-envision several popular sitcoms and other popular things as cartoons that took the characters outside of their real-world limits and into new environments.
The earliest one, I think, was The Three Robonic Stooges. Before Moe's body could get cold, they made a cartoon where the Three Stooges were goofy cyborgs with oft-malfunctioning parts.
There was also a cartoon about the Harlem Globetrotters having weird superpowers.
There was also Gilligan's Planet, which was basically Gilligan's Island in space.
And there was... I forget what it was called, but it was basically Happy Days in space. The Happy Days gang went around the galaxy on a spaceship discovering strange new worlds and boldly going where no man has gone before. They also had a sexy maid named Cupcake, and Fonzie was always hitting on her even though she was, like, a robot or something and had no interest.
Every one of those cartoons failed, for good reason. I don't expect this one to do any better.

@@KevinKess I would think it's an interesting bit of trivia; I don't think I'd be all that surprised.
It reminds me of how Donkey Kong was created because King Features wasn't interested in letting Nintendo make a Popeye game. They thought video games were a passing fad that would soon be forgotten. So, Nintendo redesigned the sprites and made their own property. A couple of years later, King Features came back and said, "Hey, we changed our minds. We think a Popeye video game would be totally rad now!", so a Popeye game was made at that time.

Some months ago I was wondering why today's Mario Party games were so... cheap and boring, and nostalgia aside, the reason seemed to be lack of artistic quality, aesthetics (correct use of pixel art, care on resource usage by console, etc); the point of this is that the game producers of the past had time and space to bring ideas into the market, and as they were usually third party, freedom was ensured, now this is analogous to what happens today, then over the years the industry became more and more corporative and ended up attacking everyone throughout the production chain, demanding much more production over quality rather than looking for steady innovation that brings classics people can attach to. Much of the quality we observe in these films are due to a lack of understanding on how quality entertainment is produced, you can't constraint people (identity politics, for example) in their creativity process nor over work them (producing animation, for example); today we are observing another Hanna Barbera crappy era of animation, hopefully we will learn to overcome this shortsightedness now that it's actually relevant for many... there will be a need for a new Ren & Stimpy to move the industry forward.
