why don't scarifiers have a box to catch the grass? And how do you normally pick up the grass? If i scarify my lawn with a rake it's nearly impossible to pick the grass up!
First of all most scarifiers do have a box but they fill too quick and become a nuisance. Secondly its not grass you are collecting its moss and thatch
Dear Sir, it's an excellent video. Could you please guide me further that what month of the year you recommend to do scraifing, aeration, overseeding. Could you also please recommend which seed, what fertiliser and what top soil do you use. Best regards
Ok, have to ask a question since I'm not familiar with scarfing. What does it do to the yard? Take the grass to the soil line? Then you re-seed, and then top it off with washed sand? So, basically you are starting from scratch with the lawn? Does the old, but good grass come back up? What about the weeds? Or do you put something down to kill the weeds? Sorry, I'm just one if those who, when I see something new, I like to know the details. Thanks again for all your information on lawn and garden care. 👍🏻
Basically you are removing anything that isn't grass .( It's like brushing your hair) You apply weedkiller first if you have weeds and the grass will grow again but the seed just helps it get thicker quicker 👍
Another great video Lee, thank you. Has given me encouragement to try and sort my own lawn out (to date have always just mowed it but no other real TLC). Quick novice question if that’s ok, what is the purpose/benefits of the Top Dressing ?
