This is a great spin on the Maiden sound and gives it a slight edge over the original song, perhaps even a tad more heaviness or power in certain parts.

so awesome. great song, great cover. the timing of the vocals in the intro section always eludes me. i get the guitars and the drums but the way the bass and vocals comes in gets me every time.
That battle in WW1 is one of the greatest nightmares humankind ever did to itself. A horror. Sickening. How do people do that to each other? What the hell is wrong with us?
Epic song from the GoAT of Metal. Great drumming from Mr Steffen that was a pious play of the song not sure how an orthodox fan couldn't be impressed by this. This song is fun to play and looks like a good workout too. With Maiden you get the best candy, like dual! guitar solos and hardcore drum progressions, the best subject matter of any heavy metal bands lol, plus the epic vocals and even the lyrics are top shelf. Invariably something about Black Sabbath always come up. Sabbath has been King it's time to put IM on the throne for a little while damm.
Ladies and gentlemen....... The new drummer for Iron Maiden. Killer video as always man. You should create your own drum line for more songs. The new avenged sevenfold stuff would be good. They had their new drummer do the back of the band type drumming on their new album. Plenty of room for creativity if you dig then at all. Cheers!

Dave Holmes Thanks man! Maiden are one of the few bands I overplay on purpose. Nicko is too unique and Maiden is too epic to lay back on.

Good Cover. I get bored watching copy cats. In my mind everyone plays a bit different than the next guy or gal and that is what makes each of us drummers unique.
Niko McBain has his own style.
I usually try to play by the book with a little extra flavor. Not the case with maiden though - I overplay on purpose. I try to approach Maiden with a Mike Portnoy mentality.

Do You think Niko is a more Technical Drummer than Lars ? His Fills & change of Tempo seem more Difficult ? & Do You get Cramp in Your Thumb Muscle from Holding the Stick ? I get it Bad to the Point I lose control of the Stick & Bloody Calluses. Man,, on the Inside of My Index Finger,,, Far Out. Lol.

I reckon you should do Sign of the Cross. I vaguely remember Nicko once saying that Sing of the Cross is one of the trickiest IR tracks for him to play due to rapid rhythm changes.

I like the idea , I mean , that you want to put your style to the song to make it you know different. And that's awesome and you are an exceptional drummer, but when I hear it I sense an overload of fills that I feel like not match with the song Implying that is a Maiden song and thats what makes a maiden song the perfect timing of fills and rhythm , but your style is more like some Dream Theater or others more hardcore progressive band kinda style IMO
