I love my gulfmaster. I've had mine for a little over 4 years. I got a killer deal on mine. I was price shopping it for about 3 months before I pulled the trigger. Got it brand new for $250. It's been my daily driver ever since. Aside from some scuffs on the bezel it still looks brand new. It's a beast.

Saw the Mudmaster and loved the looks……BUT….after buying the Mudmaster, just had to get a second G-Shock as the Gulfmaster is such a great watch. Along with the Rangeman, which is digital of course and I prefer analogue, it's one of the best out there. Loads of features….and they work and are actually real easy to set-up, even the tide and moon! Really comfortable to wear, big, but not heavy, and looks awesome! If I had to choose one watch out of the three I have, it would be the Gulfmaster! I got the yellow with stainless bezel….but that black with blue bezel is really cool too….and the black bezel…and…. ;-)
Does the Gulfmaster save the bearing like in the mudmaster?
It must be a friend to an adventurer. It should also be a joy for city-dwellers to have the feeling of being connected to the elements through the tide graph, altimeter and alarm for sudden changes in the atmospheric pressure.
It certainly is a great choice.
I love my gulf master GWN-1000B , It is excellent watch design for all nature love and wildlife photographer to plan you trip based on weather condition and this watch really help to make it better. Thank you for excellent video to basic function.

I recently bought this watch. It was quite straightforward to set, much easier than my old Casio, the ProTrek. I go fishing a lot so the tide graph is excellent. The barometric readout is good, too. If there are sudden changes in pressure, I'll go ashore. I travel a lot, so love the automatic time zone setting. It's a lot of a watch for a reasonable amount of money. I paid £475. You did a super video. Thanks for the macro shots. Makes the vid much more detailed.

At 3:50 is a World Time Mode - WT, which shows your home time - HT on the digital display and the UTC time zone on the analogue - the hands. By the way it's a great watch and nice presentation of it.

It is perhaps not so dashing as the mudmaster GWG 1000 or GWG 2000 are but is the most feature-rich G Shock.

Multi band 6 does not receive from satellites there is radio transmitters in different countries I believe in us it’s in Denver. In the us it will not change time zones as you travel just minute updates.

It would have been nice if you explained the most visible feature of the watch - the numbered markings on the bezel. What are they for, which feature are they used with? Are they mutli-roled, do they serve a more than one function?

I have always loved the G-Shock range and have owned a couple in my time. Its a shame that i dont get to wear them very much now i have my Sony Smartwatch 3. Do you own any of the Ediface range Dave, they look very sexy too?

It receives radio signals from Land based transmitters, Not satellite. It is not a GPS or satellite receiver (other model G-Shock are GPS)

I always liked Protrek range, now owning Garmin Fenix 3, check out Casio G-Shock MR-G GPS Hybrid Wave Ceptor MRG-G1000 beautiful watch but super pricey. PS. This watch uses radio signal not GPS signal :D

Can you tell me how you read the moon phase in this watch?? Is it just the digital display of moon age or does it show graphically also?

Geekanoids did the 2 hand ever lock up on you?ive read alot reviews saying ,after going into functions, that the analog hands wouldnt go back into correct time.did u have thay problem?
Dave I have a question for you I just received mine today and I noticed that the auto receive was on but hadn't received anything since January 8. I try to do a manual receive by following the instructions in the manual however when going into receive mode and then I hold down A as it says I do not see RC flashing As it says it will nothing happens. I'm not sure if there something wrong with it everything else seems to work fine. Any suggestions? Thank you in advance.

Thank you very much. It actually started working the second day I had it. It came to me with a Medium charge and I left it out in the sun all day and it started working once it had a full charge.
