    I'd say this covers everything pretty well. Didn't know each class had different weight capacities on ME3.

    • @pragmaticeagle4832
      @pragmaticeagle4832 2 месяца назад +2

      The weight difference is present but only noticeable if you don't import ME2 data or choose to run insanity on 1st playthru. It's negligible & not even worth paying attention to because carrying more than 2 weapons for any class is "silly."

    I always enjoyed RPing Sheppard being a soldier in ME1 but when I converted to ME2 I switched to another class ( usually adept or vanguard) and head cannon that part of bringing Shepard back was enhancing some tech or adept ability gave the game new feelings.

      I mean Cerberus _does_ jam an experimental and cutting-edge L5-x biotic implant when they're bringing a Vanguard, and maybe even Adept and Sentinel, Shepard back to life despite not knowing how a literal resurrection could affect said abilities or if Shepard would even have access to said powers anymore after being revived. So I'd say it's not _too_ much of a stretch to assume Cerberus enhanced Shepard a bit in the process to lower the chances of them dying or being crippled and raise the success chance of the mission. It's not the worst justification out there, I mean they retconned The Illusive Man to have been indoctrinated since his time in the First Contact War to justify him and Cerberus literally working against humanity for the Reapers despite ME2 showing that he'd devote as much as he was able to beat them.

      Just like ME2 retconned Cerberus' minor and subtle rule as a frickin powerhouse that surpasses the Alliance technology and ressources.

    My very first playthrough of Mass Effect was as a Soldier, and when I hit ME3, I gutted everything but my Assault Rifle and 1 other gun so I could have Adrenaline Rush up 24/7. Super broken, and I loved every second of it.

    • @jagd7102
      @jagd7102 Год назад +2

      Do that but with a maxed out crusader shotgun and all the damage increase armor. You just have perma bullet time and can click heads with the most broken gun in the game.

    Much as I admit that soldier might be somewhat of a "safe if boring" class I have always felt it fits Shepard and the themes of the games well. After all he/she is the first human spectre, and the last line of defence for the alience. And yet they don't do it with any fancy suits, or special psychic bionic powers they simply put on a suit of armour, grab a gun and get blasting and still manage to take down anyone that gets in their way with nothing but sheer force of will and strength and I do feel that rather fits well for the story. Shepard is not some tech god, or hacking genius he/she is just another human, just another soilder doing all they can to protect the universe and be a hero and that's pretty admirable.

    Yeah I absolutely Soldier main, I hated my engineer run in ME2 because you were stuck with SMGs and Pistols, I started enjoying it a lot more after the Collector Ship since I chose assault rifles for advanced training, and could then use the Mattock to breeze the game.

    In ME3 soldier is so OP, you basically ascend to godhood with Garrus. Put every skill into damage/cool down, and just harrier + concussive blast everything away.

    True, you don't have powers. But you don't need said powers.
    In ME1 you are unkillable.
    Later Adrenalin Rush solves all problems you encounter.
    And you don't need to upgrade all weapons. Just one is enough. And having a backup.

    Kasumi needs to get more love ... between overload and her stealth strike she can cover all the bases, just like Miranda.

    • @TomatoFettuccini
      @TomatoFettuccini 6 месяцев назад

      What sends MIranda over the top (for me, anyway) is her passive that adds +25% weapon damage to the squad. Bring her and Garrus on every mission.
      Garrus' passive for Turian Rebel that adds +25% to weapon damage and Squad Incendiary Ammo for+40% (for a total of +90% to his weapon damage). Between Incendiary Ammo and Miranda's bonus Shepard gets +65% to wep damage. Take Reave as your loyalty power; with this combo there's literally nothing you can't handle; you might have to kite Scions though (but they're tough bastards regardless of class and squad). It's tempting to take Explosive Ammo but Miranda doesn't have any ammo powers, and Armor Piercing Ammo isn't as good as Incendiary (because of the panic effect, that it damages both health and armor, and stops regeneration).
      You can sub Zaeed and Grunt in for Garrus since they have similar abilities (but Disruptor Ammo is meh - skip it). I prefer Garrus since Overload helps bring down shields quicker, and lets you always double-team any opponent with armor, shields, or barriers, plus your squad incendiary ammo. If you need someone tankier bring Grunt but I find him kind of redundant with Shepard, Zaeed, and Garrus around.

    • @Whippets
      @Whippets 6 месяцев назад

      Just depends on the missions and your class. Tali always gets Geth, Miranda is great for any tough missions, I love Grunt and he always complains when I nick him with a shot ... maybe I've played the game too many times on Insanity, at this point I can do no-die no healing playthroughs with just about every squad mate. A little patience and a little intelligence makes this a pretty easy game.@@TomatoFettuccini

    A fun thing I do is when I create a new playthrough with a Soldier Shepard once I reach ME2 I add the Warp Ammo power in order to have a nice 4th Ammo type that adds an extra way to get through barriers

    I strongly strongly disagree with your opinion on Ashley. Kaidan is completely useless in ME1 because he dies as soon as combat starts. In ME3 Ashley is 1 of 2 squadmates that can hold a Black Widow which makes her and Garrus the best combination.
