      @Kaiser SwagHelm II He said king and that was the only possible move, forced means compelled by force or necessity (as in that situation he was forced by the rules they made) , next time forumulate your question as " What does forced move mean?" • @Zenthalpy
      @Zenthalpy 4 года назад +7

      The O-Ring principle plays in well here.
      If you define skill as the probability that someone does not make a mistake on an individual move, a team comprised entirely of high-skill (for example, 0.99+) players can be destroyed by one low skill player, since their actions chain together. That's why firms with lots of high skill employees are willing to pay the most in order to gain more high skill employees, and, in this case, why Yasser chaining together with an 800 elo player is not a 1700 player.

      Sometimes as a figure of speech players use the term "forced" to say that there is only one good move. Treating every word as a literal definition and you miss the nuance of the English language as well as rule out the way people actually mean things. When you say someone "forced my hand" it usually also means you had a choice, one way or another, yet this is a popular saying to mean that someone influenced you but not literally forced you.

    Its kind of painful to watch this. Especially the situations where Dan has the simple choice between a good move and a blunder and still is not really sure what to play. But I guess we all had to go through this phase when we are learning chess.

    Yasser needs to apprroach this more strategically, like name pieces with which the guy would be less likely to completely screw up, even if that would not be the best move, lol

    This was somehow better than watching analyses of top rated players. Could be like the r/roastme of chess; pay Yasser to cringe at your moves as you play online. "I figured if we traded Queens dan, your chances of blundering your Queen would go way down"...my lungs hurt.
    I'd pay good money for the roasting, but I probably struggle to reach 800 ELO and...I don't have good money. 1/10, would not recommend my job. Looking at these donations I'd love to stream chess for a living, but...the whole struggling to reach 800 ELO thing. Shoulda picked up chess earlier than 27. That's life; you win some, you lose even more.
