It's a Shallow Shad Rap (looks like a size 7 in Bluegill color) and it's one of my VERY favorite lures for these shallow FL lakes. That little lure catches giants as well as the little guys.

I’ve really come to love the Rapala GSR ( Glass Shad Rap) they have a rattle in them and the colors are kind of translucent, hence the “glass” name. There is so much that can be learned from this video, you have to be in position to catch the desired fish. If the right bait is used you can catch the desired fish. So many nuggets! The scenery is calming. Thank you for posting

That is definitely a good tip: if you want to see how a new bait does, go somewhere where you know there are a lot of fish and see how it works. I also had no idea that there were different types of perch, or that yellow perch even existed, so thanks for informing me. Great video!

When I first started fly fishing years back, I couldn't take a trout to save my life. I learned how to time setting the hook on a lake catching Crappies that rose like those, they weren't as finicky as Trout. This was back in the days when my Dad was still around. Thanks again for sharing, YNC!

I wish we had perch around where I live. I like catching a lot of different species, never caught a perch. There aren't many places in Arkansas that have them.
@@YourNextCast they are found in some of our colder water lakes, but most lakes around here get too warm in the summer for them to thrive. I tend to fish a lot of creeks, rivers and a lot of smaller lakes and I've never seen one in person. We have a lot of different species of sunfish but I guess the waters I usually fish get too warm for Perch.
I absolutely loved the intro... I was born in Louisiana and my dad and brother would go out fishing and we would scale them! Never actually went fishing myself though! This was awesome, Like 218.
