Hi Speg, Just wanted to remind everyone that Costco sets a limit on the maximum amount of the 2% Executive Member reward to $1,000 for any 12 month period (It used to be $1,500 prior to 2023). The $1,000 reward limit corresponds to a $50k spend ceiling in the 12 month period. I just wanted to make sure that everyone understood this when this spend threshold is exceeded. Keep stacking--I enjoy your videos!
Costco is a business, not a stacker. To me it's simple. They may have bought those bars when gold was at $1,200.00 or less. Selling them to the public at double the price at $2,400 is a hell of a profit so why would they be worried about putting a "premium" on them?
@@Spegtacular Does this sound crazy to you? Buying low and selling high? Gold in 2017 was $1,100.00oz. Six and a half years later, it's more than doubled. That's a short-term investment for a company that big.
@Spegtacular I would have to agree. These mega corporations are all about short term growth. The last thing they want to do is have millions of dollars in inventory in a warehouse for a decade.
Nice, but I am sticking with fractional gold I do hold 1 oz Eagles, but I am sticking with fractional. It's much MORE FLUID and I have no problem with a slightly higher premium. My gold comes from my LCD who gives BETTER pricing on US Eagles than ANY of the online dealers, hands down. Gold bars don't jazz me in the least. Eagles and pre '33 U.S. gold is what i stick with.
Fractional gold is vastly easier to sell. I went to a shop today & bought the guys last 1/10th coin. He told me that anything 1/4 or less is impossible to keep on the shelf, they sell as fast as they come in. Always plenty of 1 ounce coins & bars in inventory, though.
It is simply marketing. How much press has Costco gotten about gold and silver? Alot. Even if they break even, its still a big win, especially since you have better luck going into a store than online. The business model of Costco is that they can sell everything at break even, and yet membership dues are pure profit, and when they have 128+ million paying members… Also doesn’t hurt that gold is on a consistent climb. They negotiate today, take delivery of it in weeks to a month? Price moved up. Easy gains. It would be far more interesting to see what Costco does when gold is sliding down.
Omg there are so many Comments I can make but I’ll just take a step back and Pray No nothing negative at you SpegTacular all good! Hey SpegTacular I appreciate all the content it definitely get me to thinking $$
I never seen any gold bars or coins for sale on their web site except an Eagle with 91.67% content. And a 1oz silver Maple Leaf for a crazy $800. Also I visit 3 different Costco stores regularly in NJ and never seen anything besides jewelry in the cases. So what is secret?
If your thinking of pouring your own bars backyard bullion had contamination issues with his gold bar when he tried to make one use a new crucible and moulds that has not had silver in as his didn't assay right
Been tracking and it seems like Costco is starting to not offer as crazy good deals as before. Usually save $50 over anywhere else. Some cases I’ve saved up to $90. Haven’t seen $90 in a while. Hmmm
I have been buying silver like crazy. Too poor for gold. I was thinking a 1/10 oz. or Goldback’s. Amazon and Walmart are both getting into selling them silver and gold.
Speg, please help out. Gold is going up crazy and no one in the media talks about it. What is going on? Extra vlog with the almighty MR. Coin Guy maybe? :)
Well I dunno because they’re also getting American products and only a very few select buyers are allowed to buy bullion directly from the U.S. Mint. Maybe though
So many people purchased from Costco because they trust them. Many of which got started in stacking because of Costco.

Wait. You think Costco has sat on these bars for years before selling? Is that what I’m hearing?
That’s not what he’s saying David.

I don’t think Costco is in the business of holding bars in a warehouse for years.
@Spegtacular I would have to agree.

Costco has become my go-to for gold and silver.
Gold is selling for $2630 at Costco today. Spot is over $2700.

Love the fireworks effect!

I think what you meant to say that Costco was selling 200m in gold a month. Not making 200m a month selling gold … that would definitely be something
I listen to you and got my first gold bar from Costco . Thank you
Nice! Whatcha think?
@@Spegtacular It’s beautiful love it 🙏
I would buy a gold bar from costco. Very nice collection

Hope you are having a great day Speg , wow that PamP Liberty gold bar is stunning 😳
Thanks Kayne!
Funny I was at the fun show and recognized that voice . It was a pleasure to meet you
I wasn’t at the show…

Show the design on that die please.

Pouring 101 is never mix pours in the same crucible. BYB shoulda known better.
Those are some really awesome looking bars
I finally got some gold 1/4 gram coin. In the double digits 😮 thats my budget but its mine.

Spegs ..but you said Walmart can have fakes ! Same with Costco, why would they jeopardize their reputation! Costco & Walmart would not sell fakes
3rd party sellers on Walmart could
@@Mr-pn2ehand after one time Walmart would let it continue........ooooohhhkkay
Walmart isn’t just Walmart selling on their website. It’s a marketplace like how EBay or Amazon is.
@@Spegtacular I'll do my research, thank you good sir 🤜🤛

You buy the 1 oz Troy for $2,400 flat
This was $2,399 with cash back
Costco not JM Bullion? Online dealer of choice
I think the switch is coming!
@@SpegtacularDon't think so when you can get gold at spot or below. JM Bullion or others can't beat Costco pricing.
I have 3 1/4 grains lol that's it 😅 Gold is out of reach for me ,Thank the good Lord for Silver!
Stack up enough silver and you call sell some to buy gold
That's what I did
I mean.. instead of 3 silver rounds you can buy a gram of gold…
Just sayin..
Because it’s not Denomiated.
Sorry guys NOT TODAY! Perhaps tomorrow one of your many pessimistic thoughts will actually come true! LAMO
I spoke with my LCS and he said Costco must be getting the PAMP directly from the PAMP mint.
Well I dunno because they’re also getting American products and only a very few select buyers are allowed to buy bullion directly from the U.S. Mint.
Maybe though
Is he getting paid buy CostCo???
Of course not
By* and no, but how cool would that be 😆
Of course he's not getting paid by them. He even addressed that in the video
I wish.
Lol. Ya right. Costco has the best deals w the 4 % cash back. All he's doing is telling us about it.
