i first saw this video about 2 years ago when i was receiving lessons from the missionaries and i have been looking for it since. the last scene with the guy being baptized wih his family makes me cry because i hope my family will join me in the Church someday soon.

The missionaries who put this video together, didn't get the proper copyright permissions when it was released, therefore making it illegal, and for portraying it as if the church leaders had officially approved of it. This is one of my top favourite videos. I am so blessed to be part of this church.

I grew up in San Jose, and got to know the missionaries who put this together pretty well. Amazing stories and I still get goosebumps watching this ^_^

I thank you xxflutterbykissesxx ! Considering both sides of the veil, there are more on our side than on the other. I believe in a gospel of love and understanding, I believe that people should be free to believe in whatever they want, and that right should be protected. But some religions prefer to stand up in a tower just to point fingers and condemn. I am affraid they will be treated in the last day the same way they treated others.
I love this song!!! The missionaries shared this with my friend who was recently baptised and this was for a new member discussion in sharing the gospel. This song touched the very core of my soul, being a convert myself (of 4 years at the time). Eyes filled with tears, had to leave the room and compose myself and the Spirit confirmed to me that I should serve a mission, which I did in Australia Sydney South Mission. The best choice I have ever made, to be baptised into His Kingdom, The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints and served my Saviour and Redeemer. No regrets, 18 years strong now. Through trials of faith, nothing is too hard with the Lord.

I remember this video back in 2006 almost 12 years ago when I was still investigating the church. This is one thing of many that inspired me to join. Just this past stake conference, this same video was being shown. (It's been 12 years since I saw it last!) I literally had to keep myself together while I was on the stand with our stake choir so that I wouldn't burst out in tears after seeing it again. It brought back such fond memories. I love this church and how the Book of Mormon helps us to strive to better our lives for our fellow brothers and sisters.

@@Martin_L478 I've been a member for over 30 years, I used to be a missionary for the Church as well, that's how I know about this video. Have you read any of the Church's gospel topics essays on DNA, Polygamy, BOM translation and Book of Abraham translation?

This is the first video i watched when i was investigating the church. It touched my heart and taught me the trueness of the gospel and it touches the lives of those who follow its teachings. I now have the oppurtunity to teach new converts and investigators and i always show this video.
I know this church is true, missionaries are comissioned of god, and the joseph smith and all the prophets of the church are ordained of god, and i do so in the name of jesus christ Amen

I just returned from serving in the England Manchester Mission and I will tell you that there is no greater feeling than seeing people progress from day one to seeing them recieve priesthood ordinances such as baptism and confirmation.
Wow...this is such a great video. I love the gospel so much. I don't know where i would be today without it. I challenge anyone that hasn't read the Book of Mormon to read it. We don't have to prove it. It proves itself. It is TRUE. I know it. I am so grateful for it. You can deny the Book of Mormon and the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints all you want,but it is true. I have seen it change people lives for the better. It has changed my life for the better. The Book of Mormon is TRUE.
8-15-10 I just recentley turned 19 and i've been contimplating on whather i should serving a mission. During a missionary prep class a returned elder played this video for the 3 of us in the class and while i was watching it i felt a change inside myself. i know it was the spirit. Now that i have seen the light i am going to serve a mission and serve my Hevenly Father. And help people come unto christ i hope when you watch this you will feel the love our savior has for us as i do.
This video inspired my boyfriend to hand out Book of Mormons and teach the gospel to fellow students around 4 years ago. He handed out about 37 Book of Mormons, gave about Idk 11? talks, and got 1 baptism (me!). He has succeeded as well as any missionary I say. :3 Thank God for those who are patient and share the word of God with others.
I love this video it was amazing on the mission and I still love it after. It definitely portrays how simple it is for anyone to truly know the truth of the Book of Mormon and restored gospel, which is to simply read it without a heart of contempt but rather with humility and then pray willing to act according to the answer.

Article of Faith number 12 states: "We Believe in being subject to Kings, Presidents, Rulers, and Magistrates, in obeying, honoring, and sustaining the law." Therefore, no matter where we live, we must follow our leaders. If they tell us to fight, we obey. That doesn't mean, we don't love who we fight against, or that we are any less Christian, it just means we follow our leaders. Therefore following what we are taught by our Savior no matter where we live, or who we listen too for orders.

I've loved this video since the fist time I saw it when I was an investigator. I still love it now, being a member! It brings back so many awesome memories!!

I loved seeing this video. It is very touching when lives are changed through the Holy Ghost.
I've had moments where I questioned my testimony, but then i would later understand what it was i had doubts about. this eventually led me to just stop worrying about things i didn't understand because eventually i would understand anyway. Proverbs 3:5 "trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding." its impossible to understand the why's of EVERYTHING IMMEDIATELY. Sometimes we just have to trust in what God has told us and one day we will understand.
You should investigate those doubts. If it really is the one true church then the more information you get should prove that. But unfortunately it doesn’t

I've seen this vid in seminary twice now. Go missionary week! Today we were in Judges chapter 7. It's pretty cool, how 300 men on God's side can defeat an army that's numbered as grasshoppers. Without even touching a sword, I might add!
I saw this and LOVED It years ago!!!! And I think that my current Stake President is in this video now! Looks like he and his wife as part of the family towards the end of this video. If it is not him, wow they both have look a likes!

I actually think the above video is really genius. Its creators have unknowingly pulled together so many elements for a great story with teenage issues; Falling in love, identity struggles-being drawn into a cult religion and sexual confusion etc. The photography is beautiful and the whole thing cries out for a sequel.

Who the hell are you to say I didn't serve a mission? I've been home for 4 1/2 years now. It honestly wasn't until I did some true investigating into what I thought would inspire me and uplift me but alas, the truth and overwhelming evidence against the truthfulness of the church is a powerful motivator for myself and others to question what we've been brainwashed into believing.
lol I remember when we would use this video in all our lessons on my mission. I view it as corny now, honestly don't know what I was thinking waisting 2 years of my life doing nothing.

Thank you for your comments. The point here is if you produce a powerful video, with attractive people and sentimental music it is going to affect the viewers.
If at the same time you present only sanatised version of church history, then this adds to the danger that people will join the mormon church.

Knowing the plan,(as you do) you will just need patience(i know this is hard some times), but i am sure your family will accept one day, even if in the millenium, i feel more will acept than reject when they meet Jesus Christ...

hey, I served in San Jose from 04-06. What's your name? I was Elder Yu serving in the Chinese program. The mission actually gave every new missionary a copy of that VCD but later on stopped doing it.
