Very nice. I do much the same as we have many dying ash trees in this area. I really am interested in your hoist (lift). Could you show or show and tell how it works? Keep turning and have fun.
Well Ok next video ….. for This one I used a 3/4 in. Bowl gouge grind at 55 degree, the speed is changing I start at a speed where my lathe does not vibrate and as it goes I will up the speed as it is taking form and the lathe does not vibrate. That is why I never give you a speed because it will depend on your lathe it may vibrate at a speed less then mine . I hope this will give you a bit of explanation……. Thank you
Merci Pierre. How / where do you dry it, what temperature please? Interesting to the Master encounters the same wood problems as the novice. I need to devise a hoist!
I dry it by first putting a coat of end sealer for logs on the bowl then putting in a cool place I put them on the ciment floor in a corner of my shop . The temperature is around 50 to 60 degrees Good Luke !!!
Nice job good to see common sense used when lifting
Thank you 😊

The work is beautiful, but the photography is not good. Two photos make the viewer lose focus
Thank you for your opinion
