Carved cedar bowl. I keep using up the cedar tree I cut down in August.

Suggest a chainsaw for the ruff cutout. Straight lines, then cross. Knock out with hammer chisel

After watching other wood carving videos with power tools, it hurt watching the manual technique. How long did it take? The bowl is very pretty.

I switched to power tools. The end grain was to difficult to work with by hand. Thanks for watching. Probably hand 4 hours in work.

Love the idea that you use every scrap of wood from the trees that have been downed for one reason or another. This bowl is beautiful.
