I love my dolls I prefer the ones with the cloth body. Love the boy in the striped outfit I m missing a blond curly one in my collection of dolls Thank you for sharing Subscribed, I want to see more X
They're adorable & very high quality. I consider them deluxe, upscale & superior to many competitors. They immediately caught my attention when I bought mine. They really stood out among other inferior dolls like baby alive. I like Madame Alexander,Cabbage Patch Kids, American Girl etc.., but this doll brand feels more realistic bc of the dolls weight & armature/posability.
I heard of the "My Twin" doll's but never had any of them back then. First ever seeing them tbh~ 🤷♀️ Did you ever have a My Buddy or Kid Sister doll back then. I have a brunette boy blink n wink my buddy doll. I had a blonde Kid Sister doll in the 90's managed to finally order another blonde kid sister doll on ebay same condition as my first. Painted eyes & a nudist again lol. 🤣 It's fine because I have other doll clothes she can wear. My first didn't have her original clothes either. Loved the first one but my mom threw her away when I was in elementary school out of vengeance & to be vendictive back then... I still remember coming home from school that day looking high & low when I asked her what happened she admitted that she threw her away. I checked the trash can & she wasn't there. She gave her to st. Vincent de Paul's when I was in school... 🤦♀️😭 She had a habit of doing that with my stuff a few times. One day I came home from school all of my stuff was in black garbage bags sitting in the back seat of the day. We drove to st. Vincent de Paul's & she handed my stuff over to them. I didn't realize it until after we came back home I walked into an empty room (my bedroom) no curtains on the windows, no toys in my toy box, no clothes in dresser drawers. When I asked what I did wrong she laughed then walked away. Certain things from back then I don't miss. I forgave my biological mom year's ago haven't seen or spoken to her since 2002. I don't miss her. 🤷♀️✌️
My cousin had a Sissy doll. That was her main doll besides a bunch of barbies. Sissy wore a diaper and sat on her bed. I would cry if my stuff was thrown out or donated like that without permission. I've gone no contact for 4 years with some relatives and others, and it feels good to be free of the toxicity for sure. No regrets. Good for you!!
@lurkingcaro Yeah mine I had my original kid sister from 1995 to 1999. I got her for $2 at our local thrift store back then & I bought her several outfits used mostly in bubble gum pink. She had bubble gum pink pj's, a bubble gum pink dress, & a red, yellow, & blue jogging outfit. I didn't realize until looking for her online that the blonde version's outfit was originally bubble gum pink as well just in overall's, a shirt, & shoes. Just figured back then the color suited her. 🤷♀️ We didn't get a computer until the year 2000 back then so no way for me to look up her original outfit like now~ 🤣 I might diy her an outfit. Already made a few diy outfits for my boy baby talk doll by galoob already. I made him a: reversible sunbucket hat, swim trunks, a light blue teddy bear overall's, light blue long sleeve shirt, light blue baby shoes with blue & green hearts on them along with a silver bell in the middle, & a holographic blue personalized baby talk bib. I've alway's been on the creative side long before the internet or RUclips was a thing. 🤣 I might be the only girl I know in the 90's who used to draw up rough drafts / blue prints then get the materials & build or make stuff. I did that even back then~ 🤣 Yeah my biological mom had a habit of doing that from the time I was little all the way up to the age of 15 with taking my stuff at random. I definitely shed quite a few tears back then. It also caused quite a few fights between my parents because me & my dad eventually became friends with the priest of the catholic church who was in charge of st. Vincent de Paul's & when he saw my mom after a while he'd wait until she left then hold the bags for my dad to retrieve but a few times we were to late & the nuns didn't know what was going on so they saw the bags a few times & just automatically put them back out but quite a few times my dad had to rebuy stuff for me because of the ridiculous shanigan's she put me through. I also had to learn to safe guard my stuff at daycare as well. The one daycare worker saw me with my kid sister doll the one day & made the remark: oh you have a doll if leave her here even by accident she automatically becomes property of the daycare. The whole day I held onto kid sister doll for dear life both when eating lunch & even going to the girls restroom which I got looks from other girls in the restroom at the time but didn't care as long as my doll was safe & with me. Several of the kids made snide remarks about me carrying a doll with me & making fun of me directly to my face. I didn't care because I didn't know a soul in there & was scared being there because I was with total strangers as for the other kids. After a while they eventually left me alone but some found it amusing to kick blocks in my face. It happened luckily when a daycare worker saw the whole incident & saw me crying half because of scared being there with total strangers, half frustrated by the other kids the way they acted towards me. As much as I wanted to go home my dad was working 2 jobs & my mom was home but refused to take care of me which is why she put me in daycare. Ironically daycare was the lesser of 2 evils. At least there I got fed breakfast & lunch. I rarely ate breakfast & lunch at my house back then. If I wasn't at daycare then my grandma or aunt & uncle with there kids babysat me 7 days a week. 🤷♀️✌️
I am not good enough at sewing to create outfits. I have only sewn up holes on stuff. I tried to make a shirt recently but it didn't look that good cause i don't have technical skill. We had a computer in the 90s cause my dad worked from home. But I didn't do much on there besides animal games and other basic macintosh games. I had an american girl game on there. Lol Daycare was no fun, but it sounds like it was better than being with your mom. I used to cry for my mom and they would slap my hands and be mean to me, which only made me cry worse.
