It is true . . . most horns, not all, have a sound of their own, and it can be predominantly heard in the singing voice. Smooth sound that seems effortless.

You had mentioned that the air is running. Is that the low level noise that we are hearing?

Sounds like its tuned for classical music. The box would have too much resonance for techno or jungle beats. With some good fluff to snuff that resonance, those would be perfect.

Sound like it has digititis. I am sure these speakers would sound great with a better source.

How many bad $70k pair of speakers has anyone heard? Of course they're going to sound good. Not to mention the probably $100K in gear supporting them: amps, turntable, cables, etc.

More tube nonsense and audiophile ridiculousness. 18" woofer?? No possible need for that in a home.

Yeah because everyone owns a shitty, rat-hole home like you right? Because you can't immagine that someone might have a HUGE livingroom and money to spend and enjoy these.
No need for a 700 bhp V12 Ferrari or Lambo when you live in the real world with regular streets full of speedbumps..speed limits..police and all. Overkill? you don't own a race track yet they exist...people buy them..use them. see where i'm going? It's called headroom...showing off...enjoying the money...call it what you want but get a life and grow up...maybe move up from your mom's basement or make enough money to afford nice things and stop eating mayonnaise sandwhiches for lunch while listening to music on your crappy speakers or earbuds "cause they're just as good".

There is really hardly the need for much more than a transistor radio in the average home. There is a problem with this system and it is probably the poor source.
