  • Welcome to Kazimierz District!
    In this video I will take you to explore the Jewish Quarter in Krakow. There is quite a bit of history here dating back hundreds of years when the Jews first settled here. You'll also be surprised to how many restaurants and pubs you can come across here! Kazimierz is located on the banks of the Vistula River and had been integrated into Krakow under King Kazimierz Wielki.

    Kazimierz jest jedną z najbardziej rozpoznawalnych dzielnic Krakowa. Po pierwsze, od setki lat zamieszkiwana jest przez Żydów przez co jest tu mnóstwo historii. Po drugie, Kazimierz jest świetnym miejscem by oderwać się od turystów starego miasta. Znajdziesz tu wiele pubów oraz restauracji i przeróżnych smakołyków które chcę wam w tym odcinku pokazać.
    Zaczynamy dziś od samego centrum Kazimierza czyli ratuszu i pobłąkamy się niego ulicami, zwiedzając synagogi, próbując maczanek krakowskich i mnóstwo innych ciekawych zakątków!

      Kazimierz does have a sad history but it also serves as a reminder why we should never forget it to prevent such attrocities from ever happening again

    An interesting video. While the Krakow Mound was shown no reference was made to the site of the former Plaszow concentration camp just to the south.
