David Downton is one of the people I would most like to interview. His work mesmerizes me for hours. It is sad that more fashion publications don't feature the work of illustrators. When I was designing in New York in the 80s, brilliant illustrations were everywhere. Today, David is perhaps the best example of a much underutilized art form. Kudos to Vanity Fair for this feature.
