Some tips for this boss and other of this canto -winning against her clashable counter reduces the amount of blood-woven thorns, very important in the last phase since it does big bleed later on -remove bleeding as fast as possible by going for long clashes, the blood-fiend hunter bloodbags in this fight are excellent for this since they have skills with alot of coins -if she, and by extension other bosses, use mass attacks with unbreakable coins, try to clash with the skill of the slowest Sinner that can clash. Clashing with a fast Sinner early in the chain can result in the Sinners later in the chain getting staggered and eating unopposed attacks from other skills. Watch for who is a subtarget of the mass attack and plan accordingly As a sidenote: Captain Ishmael‘s assist attacks will clash with clashable defense skills if they havent been already clashed with earlier in the chain, so keep that in mind
A lot of ppl dont know this, but if you have multiple skill slots for a sinner and they have evade as their defensive move, one attack slot can be used to put an evade on the enemy's leftmost skill and it will be used/recycled against AOE unbreakable attacks (it doesn't have to be clashing). Mostly useful if you're doing runs with less than a full party, but if you need to dodge an unbreakable at all costs to avoid a stagger you can sacrifice a given sinner's attack to let them dodge. Also useful if dodging gives them some sort of benefit (charge/poise/sanity gain, etc.)
Redirect the unbreakables to the tanky sinners. Adapt to the enemy mechanics. Evade die and Defense for Dulcinea final Mass Attack unless you are confident to defeat her in that phase.
I think it's easier to beat her with solo Lantern or Cinq Don than bringing team of 12. I won second try with solo Lantern Don. Why i lost on firts attempt, while having healing egos? Here's why, if you're interested. Because, for first attempt, i brought 4 sinners - I saw that there are a lot of enemies in preview, so I brought HuntHeathcliff (2 slots), Cinq Sinclair (2 slots), W Don, Red Eyes Ryoshu. Especially I thought, that Heathcliff was good idea, because he has AOE skill. Who would have thought, that you are punished heavily by killing enemies with aoe? Anyway, I got Dulcinea to half HP with this team comp before bleeding to death. And then, I completed this stage with "only" Lantern Don in 8 turns (Talisman Sinclair still really strong and irreplaceble benchwarmer or teammate). So, yes, rupture and self-healing are "totally balanced and not overpowered"....
i mean you brought 4 sinners 😭😭 its easier to solo but bringing a team of 12 makes it real easy especially when you arent afraid to sacrifice some sinners
This feels like the introduction of mass attacks or ranged pages in ruina all over again lmao
