    Thanks so much. My local session plays this tune, and we also use it in another context for dances. So I have to learn it, and I was struggling with the tune until I found your video. I have already played along about 20-30 times, first at 0.9 x speed and then at full speed. You have just the right groove that I was looking for. Just lovely playing!

    Whoa is that what's called a baroque hold? 😯

      I know it's similar to the baroque hold! It's the way some fiddlers tend to hold the bow. For me, it feels nicely balanced and I find I can get the tone/control I want. It wouldn't work for a lot of classical bowing techniques, though!
