Man, he's really killing it. He's shaping up to be my favourite character in the show, after maybe Peacemaker himself. Also up until a week ago I had totally forgotten that he was also in the Harry Potter movies.
Vig is 100% my favourite character in the show. The scene of him deliberately getting imprisoned followed by him beating the crap out of all the White Hoods was iconic.
Vigilante spin off has to happen right? He's everyone's favorite. I like this show better than the Suicide Squad movie and I liked the Suicide Squad movie a lot.
Why do you need a spinoff? He has great chemistry with Peacemaker, not necessarily having entire show focused on him would mean it would be better. Sorry but this is the same type of thinking as the studios were doing when they came up with Joey from Friends spinoff.
This show needs more seasons for sure. Such an amazing vibe and cast, and the black comedy is landing perfectly. It's NOTHING like I was expecting going into it and has been a great surprise.
This interview is amazing. Vigilante is hilarious. The show is action-packed, insanely funny, full of emotional scenes. I think it's the best show coming out right now
With all due respect to Chris Conrad, I don't think he would've had the same fan reaction as Freddie did. Chris stepping out was a blessing in disguise and I can't imagine anyone other than Freddie playing the role. He's absolutely killing it
I love that he portrays Vigilante so well! It's simply incredible and so many autistic people out there see themselves in Adrian and are currently trying to get James Gunn to make it canon, it's just amazing how many people can get together and get to know each other through this same interest in Vij
@@TheKristianHarloff Will you do more interviews with Freddie? Because I really would like to know if he or James Gunn know that most autistic people who watch the show see Vij as autistic and would love if they made it canon. I'd love to know what they think about it and if it would be possible for them to make it canon, because accurate and realistic representation of the autistic community is quite rare and it would make so many people happy
That's awesome you were able to get Freddie Stroma on. I didn't know he was actually British lol. He's one of the best things about Peacemaker. The chemistry with him and John Cena works so well on that show. I don't think Vigilante needs a spinoff. Great episode too. Now it's clear that Murn was the only good alien and the rest of them, including the one possessing Detective Song, are evil. This episode was filled with both heartbreaking moments and badass moments. I can't wait to see what the finale will do.
1987? How is this guy 35? 👀 I'm 4 years younger and look at least a decade older. Wow. Anyway, he's killing it! ❤ Vigilante is definitely my favorite character.
It's killing me how his British accent can change into a dialect SO Caucasian American: If you're listening via podcast & not video, you'd think Kristian's talking to a different actor!! Congrats, Freddie: You're on your way toward writing your own ticket!! Darth Harloff is flexing his muscles bringing in these guests = Kudos!!! #TheSchmoeKingKnows
I'll be honest I came into this thinking why that guy, why Peacemaker for a standalone series then 5 mins into that first episode I was hooked and I'm ranting for at least a 2nd series. Great interview, love your podcasts, great stuff. Be sure to show some class people
Freddie stroma just hinted that vigilante survives for a possible season 2! lol.. nice interview Krisitian, but I wish you would have asked more about some of the scenes where since Freddie came in late and they did reshoots were the scenes where Vigilante just had a mask on, did they just record his voice, or did they reshoot that entire scene? I wondered about that, cause they had already filmed 5 episodes before he even came on set.
Episode 7 holy crap it was awesome. So much more depth and dimension for John Cena's Christopher Smith and seeing his pain and anguish is shown so well. James Gunn again delivers amazing character driven storyline not just for Christopher Smith but also for his father Auggie Smith and have to say this by far the best performance I have ever seen from Robert Patrick. He plays it with conviction as this hateable dad who is pretty much a douchebag. I also loved that small easter egg with the X-Men: The Animated Series connection with one of the actors George Buza since he voiced Hank McCoy Beast in the 90's fox kids show.
This is why I love DC. Don't get me wrong I like lighter tone comics books movies/show but I love the adult stuff more. joker, Peacemaker, TSS and Nolan's Batman and The Batman around the corner.
this is going to be a great episode hope your doing your best to answer back to all the comments and can’t wait to for Batman begins rewatch talk on Friday I’ll give you my thoughts on that movie

Peacemaker is a mixed bag sometimes but it's the only show thats made me actually laugh out loud in a long time. I felt really good after episode 7 and very excited for finale, I don't want them killing everyone off.
It’s cool so many people turned around on vigilant so many people didn’t like him the first few episodes . I don’t many different takes on characters .
Just read that the original actor filmed 5 and a half episodes before Freddie came in! Can't imagine Vigilante being played by another actor at this point, Freddie is just so good.
*SPOILERS* I was gonna freak out in the finale if they killed him off, like they did pok-a-dot man in suicide squad..... I felt it coming like a predictable expendable death... but thankfully they didn't. I'm glad they didn't' kill off anyone, it wasn't a cope-put, because I ASSUMED they would kill off someone for dramatic effect. The finale was amazing in regards to comic books on streaming. WAY better than anything Marvel has done so far on Disney+
@@TheKristianHarloff wow dude, you must be working overtime to respond to all of our comments. You’re awesome, and we love your content, but don’t burn yourself out.
Freddie seems to downplay his role in making Vigilante awesome and funny. It's true James Gunn made Vig who he is but Stroma brought it to life beautifully. No actor could do it the way he did!
So if you are responding to the time at Collider Live, I can definitely respond. In 2018, we lost my younger brother at the age of 37. I carried around a lot of anger with me for a while. Hope you are having a great day Juan! Sorry for responding so late my man!

You are 100% correct on both counts! Both moments were truly iconic!

Over the years certain actors find roles that are just made for them, and Freddie finding Vigilante is one of those lighting strikes of perfection. 👌
