Wow! Queen was my first concert, but your experience tops mine! I saw them in Dallas for The Game tour. They were amazing!
A Brian May masterpiece made even greater by Freddie.💥 Freddie’s comment about them staying together till they die always makes me wince. And then to follow it with this song is even more heartbreaking. Always gives me goosebumps.

Love when he says that! Unike a lot of other bands, these four grew even closer as they got older. They were actually always close friends but as they matured they stopped bickering and really valued one another. They were incredible when they found out Freddie was sick, supportive and protective.
I am 57 years old and still get chills and emotional watching them. I once watched them at Knebworth and the crowds where amazing. Its now 2021 and newer generations like yourself are loving them just the same. Pure talent.

Have been a Queen fan for 50 years. This was a brilliant song taken from a superb album written for an amazing movie.

@@merqury5 Yes, saw them early doors around 1974. When he died, it was like losing my brother, I was in tears.
The one word that sums Freddie up is quite simply LEGENDARY.
It was written by genius guitarist Dr Brian May for 'The Highlander' movie.
Only Queen could create a true masterpiece like this in the back of a taxi cab and then it go on to be one of the best loved and most emotional songs in what turned out to be an absolute 80S classic aka Highlander. Everything these guys touched turned to pure gold.

Possibly the most emotional song from any movie ever written and when it's accompanied by the scenes in the movie,it breaks your heart.

I saw them twice in the early 80's. They are still the best ever. I've seen many bands live , no question Freddie is the greatest entertainer of all time, the only ones else to him are Mick and the late Tina Turner. Freddie still elicits chills and wonder

One of my favorite songs from the movie Highlander soundtrack, which by the way, they did all the songs
The sad thing is, if you listen to interviews conducted with the band to promote the Magic Tour, Freddie's reluctance to tour due to it being 'exhausting', and admitting that 'there will be time where I can't run around on stage, because it will be ridiculous', reads as somewhat fatalistic. It's almost a reluctant acceptance of what is to follow, as despite the fact that he wasn't to receive his AID's diagnosis for another year (April, 1987) he must have known bodily that he perhaps couldn't do much more. Certainly if what he said to Brian at the conclusion of the tour at Knebworth Park on the 9th of August (1986) is anything to go by. Still, from all the footage, it was some tour, and given that it was the last time all four members were to perform as a collective, what a way to go out.

You feel Quen and most of all you respect the music. i first heard Queen in 1977 (almost 50 yrs ago) The were the greatest of all rock bands with Freddie, Brian, Roger and John.
