I grew up listening to Queen. I found out from a sound technician in 1990 that Freddie was very ill. Never saw him in concert. Broke my heart the day he passed. Such a talent. We still love you too, Freddie. More than ever. LONG LIVE QUEEN!!

Mother Love was the last song Freddie recorded. He told Brian to just write lyrics for him to sing so he could get as much recorded with the time he had and then he told them to do what they wanted as long as they didn’t make him boring. Freddie was tired one day and told Brian he’d come back to the studio to finish the song, but he never did. Brian had to sing the final verse.

If I'm not wrong, this was filmed in May 1991. By that time, Freddie was severely ill, suffering a lot of pain, and you can see how he makes a big effort even to walk, but even though, he wanted to say goodbye to us. He left this world in November 1991, but his legacy will last forever.

When Freddie looks into the camera and says "I still love you". He said that directly to me. And I think that every Queen fan will say the same because its true, he did.

Freddie was suffering from a vicious, horrid sickness. In those days AIDS was a death sentence, slow and painful. I had a dear friend that I watched get skinny, suffer and die. There was nothing I could do for him. Freddie is so brave and it was so like him to leave us a few more songs. The only comfort I get is that I know he's at peace.

This song was his fair well to his fans and world in general. He was in pain in his last days and still was able to do one more video. Extraordinary man that no one will forget when talent and heart felt music is expressed.

it is heart breaking; he is in his last months of life. He had a terrible wound that would not heal in his R foot; and if you look at his L eye: see the redness (on the color video portions) in that L eye: it is kaposi sarcoma -- a conjunctivitis caused by that cancer that comes with AIDS. I have seen this video, the black and white and the color versions, many times, and I sadly have a hard time even SEEING "Freddie" in that person; he looks so different than he did before. Your sad face mirrored mine exactly and so I thank you for your reaction. A lot of us didn't "discover" Freddie and that magical voice, until after we saw the movie which came out in 2019; now a lot of us share our new love. I became really weirdly depressed learning about Freddie ! I've now read 5 biographies and maybe the pain is reducing. Like you at least we have these wonderful videos, interviews, books and his music. I am one of those who rate Freddie's voice as the best male voice of all time.

ive seen all the videos and all the interviews. Freddie didn't have to die. He knew about AIDS and knew how to avoid it. In some interview he talked about not limiting himself darling and living the wild life. He could still be here like Roger, Brian, and John. Makes me sad and mad. Also if he'd lived just another year or two the cocktail could have saved him as well. Love Queen and still miss ya Freddie.

I was a big Queen fan back in the day when Freddie was still alive, but was too young to go to concerts or fully appreciate everything that was going on. I remember AIDs becoming widespread all over the world and when it was revealed that Freddie had the disease it was so awful. Like you I didn't know the man personally, but he was larger than life, and I actually cried and felt loss when he died something I've never done over anyone other than close family before.
This song will always be special to me, I think it's my favourite Queen song, even above Bohemian Rhapsody. It's right what they say it was Freddie's goodbye to all of us and he is still amazing in it, still the perfectionist. An amazing human being, there will never be another Freddie. Hi Rebeka, this is one of the greatest and most beautiful songs Queen have ever written, always get a lump in my throat everytime i see the music video, he could barely stand up doing the video and his vision was going as well, he did The Show Must Go On in one take after a shot of vodka, Brian asked him if he could do it and Freddie said "I'll Fucking Do It Darling" and downed the vodka, Freddie passed away 2 months after the video was made, it was released in September, and Freddie passed away 2 months later on November 24th 1991, at 7pm, which was a Sunday night, the "I Still Love You" at the end of the video was to all Queen fans around the world!! 😀 😀

I remember the exact moment his death was announced on TV. I remember what i was wearing the room the look on my parents faces i remember it like it was yesterday... I remember my parents and the school telling me if a friend gets hurt on playground not to touch them to get an adult. Growing up during the AIDS epidemic was horrible watching people i love die was horrific...
