Nice to see these streets I walked as a young girl in the mid 60's. I attended Merl Grove High School in Dunrobin Avenue off Constant Spring Rd. I will be bac k this summer for memories. I currently reside in the UK and just cannot wait to be there. Thanks for the video.
Me general your camera make halfway tree look so clean and nice the people looking so orderly .you really makes us see that we can be orderly .apart from the speeding of the cars everything looks awesome .thanks me general
I used to take the Old No.7 bus to Half way Tree with my father and Mother, I attended St Monica's College on Hope Road, Also lived near Halfway tree road back in the early days and walked to the Bakery , sure changed a lot!!!
InJamaica....thanks so much for sharing....we appreciated this video and your effort. Got to see some of the changes in the area since we visited last but if you stated that this was a walk through of HWT, we were hoping that we would have seen more of HWT....eg, the area between the clock and the entrance to Clock Tower Plaza.....and showing from York Rx to Maxfield Ave showing St Andrew Parish Church. Would love to see the changes there.
He has a 360 video of that whole area. From HWT to Papine. Check his channel. Actually, ruclips.net/video/bw-S9DaKPq0/видео.html. I just watched it and still had it up. Enjoy
That' my place. I went to Fitz Henley to do short hand and typing, after leaving high school and my parents did not know what to do with me. After which which i went to cast for evening classes. I was always at Half Way Tree💖❤ still looking good. This give me nostalgia. A deh come oh.✌🏽👍🏼❤
It's nice to see the school lids still wearing uniforms just like they used to when I went to school at JC way back in the late 1950s. I wish they did that here in America.
Loving these new walking videos! Recognized St. Andrew's Prep School on the corner of Cecilio Ave ( I went to the Prep and High). I also spotted Chang's Emporium with the Cambio I used on my visit last year and many other places. Great video! Be safe, drivers are crazy lol
Suggest that you do a narrative with the video to make it more interesting. Like the history of the clock tower.Odean theatre if it is still there. Fellow Yardie.
My grandfather was born on Friendship Pen maybe also called Frenchies as my great-grandmother was From Haiti. It was supposed to be between Slipe Rd and Halfway tree near Crossroads. I can't find it on any of the old maps. I know it doesn;t exist anymore. Can anyone show me where it was?
From Trinidad..Such lovely scenery ..clean streets Lovely Jamaica
Man! you bring back memories, remember the days I would walk from Cross Roads to Halfwaytree.

What color was your JC uniform in the 50’s? I’m curious
@@Hov.. Khaki
@@GrahamPhotog ok. It was royal blue, white and navy blue in the early 2000’s.

I can’t even believe that I once walked these streets myself.
Me too.
Another banger. Keep these up...and as always, thanks.
So...do you still have that image stabilizer? :D
@Tropicaya No problem... It's a new camera I am testing with these features.. hopefully it will get smoother as the updates comes
Wow the streets are very clean, look much better than New York
Talk about the areas and where you are. Will make the video à better one
I got acostumbrada to walk around,I am missing....Dra Minerva Catalina.
You should do a Papine and Liguanea video
The government did a good job keeping the streets clean, especially during COVID times.

Love it; we thoroughly enjoyed the walk. One question: what exactly is the Startek building? Can’t remember seeing that when we were last there.
A quick google search leads me to believe that they deal in slave trade, uhm, sorry, staffing. Whoo! Close.
Hello Ian, Sorry for the late reply. The building ..if I have you correct is the Half Way Tree Transport Centre
@@InJamaica It's at 11:20 where the guy asked if you want to buy that building.
@IanandTina: Usain Bolt owns that building (that's why his stance is on the side) and rents it out to Startek, they are a call centre/BPO
