Alisia the 4th coin is on the bottom of the flag. DGR never would’ve beaten the level since he forgot to wall jump at the beginning and do a couple other small time saves.

I love the "yeetus cleetus" with the big buck teeth. My young nephew likes to yell "yeet" and tear parts off his toys, or slam his fists into RC cars. Because of this, the "yeetus cleetus" bit (with the hillbilly buck teeth) became super useful. I told him that's where it came from (didnt show the yolo bolo ect.) As a method to keep your kids from "yeeting" their toys, as well as tearing them apart while yelling "yeet" goes, it works very well. Keep doing the yeetus cleetus (big buck teeth) vs the yolo bolo so children can be stopped from yelling "yeet" and causing destruction.
Lol, the level with the thwomps and boom-booms. You just have to stand on the platforms in the middle of the vertical section to kill them, you don't have to go in there physically haha
I'm just gonna go on a rant here; I despise levels like the first one. They not only are extremely un-creative and boring to play but they are pretty much zero based on skill, you just have to go for it and hope to God you're right. I don't blame Dave 1 bit for not attempting it.
Anybody else miss when Dave would play that fail montage music when he was stuck on a level for a while? Because I feel like it would have been perfect in the first level.
I kind of like how they layed out the precision level. The checkpoint is a save that can be used once so you can get the first red coin and then you have a choice, save your progress and not be able to save again only if you key die, or risk your one redcoin to get another. (Note: Yes I know there is a dev and yes I know that it is a bad and annoying level but you can use this setup as an interesting choice in an Redcoin Level. But it is better to use a reusable checkpoint and safety coin. Sorry for the error.)
There is no point in waiting until getting the second red coin to save. Unless you are REALLY off on your last jump, you are going to get the last red coin as you die. Which is a key death anyway. So you will never get to use that checkpoint if you wait until after getting the second.
To be honest, I can't believe Nintendo hasn't patched up key death. There is no way that is an intended game mechanic. If it is, it is stupid. There is no reason why the checkpoint doesn't simply save your whole game state when you go through. So, if you get the checkpoint with 4 out of 5 red coins, and then get the last red coin before dying, your revert back to the exact game circumstances as you had when you reached the checkpoint. Meaning, you have 4 of 5 red coins and the last red coin is still there. That makes far more sense.

Like in my ghost house level there’s an optional key that lets you finish the level more easily, in one of about 20 [?] blocks in a room with a big key made of coins, and when you’re on the correct column of blocks it plays the glitch effect. Or you could maybe have put a coin under your invisible blocks, so people were more likely to jump for the coin and find the block. And other things like that, try to make your levels a bit more fun and a bit less… of a chore to get through, you know? 😊 Hope things are going well with Scott!
Dave the speedrun at the end of the video had a description saying you have 15s left to spare, so you do in fact know the tightness of the time unlike what you said in the video
The last level I'll attempt to translate, however it's probably gonna be off as the first part either means gully gully (because they wrote it in katakana) or it's an onomatopoeia for crunching/scraping (if it was written like がりがり (using hiragana is more common, but katakana is used) which I think makes more sense). I think it's supposed to be something along the lines of "This course is full of crunching sounds", if there's a bunch of piranha plants, (Piranha plants are called Pakkun),as they'd probably make a ガリガリ sound I'd presume. if there isn't many or any at all, then I have no clue, google translate definitely doesn't help, I'm using a Japanese-English dictionary and my knowledge of Japanese sentence structuring. Edit: ガリガリ is what they call Grinders/buzzsaws, (I'm not up to date with my Mario enemy/item names apparently) so the translation is, "This Course(/Level) is Full of Grinders"

I'm always confused why MM2 players assume that Red Coin levels ARENT required to beat the level. With the exception of levels like the 6yr anniversary type levels where the red coins give the special ending, it always seems like more often than not the red coins are almost ALWAYS required.
