So I'm getting mixed signals from commenters about trolls vs no trolls in the Uncleared Level series 😅
Some want it and some don't...so I'm gonna do my best to compromise! I'll try to limit them in future Uncleared videos...I'll do my best to seek out other options, but if there is one that looks really interesting to me I'll check it out. It's not a perfect answer but it's the best I can do!
Finally, and most importantly, thank you all for the support and watching the videos. It's appreciated more than you know ❤️

Personally, I think the uncleared troll levels are some of the most interesting levels that SMM2 but, if someone isn't big on troll levels, they do take up most of an uncleared episode.
I am very glad to hear a creator listening to feedback! That in itself means a lot. There's nothing wrong with playing a troll level that is uncleared, as it suits you well to have some of your first clears being troll levels. Maybe make these part of your trolled series instead! Then you can tout at the end of it that you even got the first clear on the level.
Short trolls are fine by me. Trolls that take almost the whole episode, I would say somehow edit your video and make that one its own video in your trolled series.
my take on the troll levels: I love seeing the troll levels episodes, but when you're doing uncleared levels I like seeing the variety of levels (puzzles, platformers, hot garbage, classic, etc...), and when you spend 80%+ of an episode on a single troll level we don't get to see other possible levels, that feels unsatisfying. I don't mind a troll level here and there, as long as there's variety
Exactly! The problem wasn't that he was doing troll levels. The problem was that the troll levels were taking up so much of the video's time, which made it way less of an uncleared level video.

Actually, it is false advertising. It claimed that Mario would be in a square in the title, yet in the description, the creator made the statement that Mario would be in a BOX. And don't even think about suing, I'm already in the process of doing so.
0:21 I didn't comment about it, but I do agree.. and thank you for no uncleared troll levels in the future! For me specifically I think the issue was that it took up almost the whole episode and I wanted to see more uncleared levels (jank and all... lol).
Yeah, I don't mind them, but if they're a good long troll level... it should just be forked off into its own trolled episode (or played on saturday for trolled live)... there are some surprisingly good troll levels in uncleared.
For uncleared series, the more uncleared levels the better.

Yes, I never commented on that because I felt like it's an unpopular opinion but now I see other people do think the same.
I personally think its sometimes fun to see troll levels made by random creators in the Uncleared series, you can get some real diamonds in the rough and sometimes just some classic hot garbage trolling too. I do understand the people who just aren't particularly a fan of troll levels, and so I think if an uncleared troll level gets to a substantial enough length for RUclips during editing, that it should probably be released as a seperate trolled video instead.
All I'm saying is I want to see a little bit of everything on Uncleared and not abandon troll levels completely :)
I agree with that. I think also that maybe it was because the troll level took up so much of the episode? There's different series for whatever people want and stuff.

12:05 that specific reclaim is actually easier than a shell jump. You just stand a block away from the wall and throw the shell up and jump when it starts coming back down. It’s free
I don't mind troll levels in this personally, although with those super long ones that take up a whole video and might be better for the "Trolled!" series, I could understand some comments about that. Really it's the hot garbo we all watch uncleared for

I am also in the same boat with most commentators. Troll levels in uncleared series are fun and hidden gems but a bit of a bummer if they take up too big a chunk of your videos. Thanks for everything that you do and for listening to feedback 😍
My biggest concern about troll levels being in the Uncleared series is that they don't appear in the Trolled playlist. That uncleared troll level last time is a big example. Same goes for any time a troll level appears in a separate series.

I think uncleared troll levels should just either:
1. Appear in the Trolled Series
2. Start an Uncleared Troll Series spinoff. Don't replace the uncleared episodes but have them in addition to.
I personally tune into to see MULTIPLE levels with different concepts, jank, or playstyles included. And while I personally like watching other people troll levels, I hate when the episode is only one level.

I legitimately thought that I was the only person that didn't care for uncleared troll levels. Love your content Dave but have never been a huge troll level fan (I know, why am I watching DGR if I don't like troll levels?). I always look forward to uncleared Mondays, keep up the great work!

Troll levels are the best part of your stream! When you get uncleared troll levels it's like a bonus day for me. Really sad that you swore them off of the uncleared series!

I very much want to see uncleared troll levels; they involve clever tricks and more thought from the dev than random hot garbage. People who want to see you suffer still get that. And I think they still fit in the uncleared series because we don't know the dev is going to be good. In the trolled series we can assume that.
Uncleared trolls are still uncleared levels and thus should be included imo, at most I can agree with making a separate video if it comes to around 15+ minutes of content
Thanks for listening to us about the troll levels. Overall I do enjoy them but it bothers me when it takes up 90% of the 0.00% video when it would have fit great as a regular TROLLED video

I realize you were just commenting about not understanding Lost, not asking to understand it; likewise, I know you likely don't care greatly about doing so. (In addition, you may also just not see this.) But just FWIW, about a year ago I stumbled upon a YT channel called "Lost Explained", and they made a series of 30 videos that tackle just about everything from the show. And as opposed to the creators of the show, who intentionally left certain things unclear and mysterious, this channel gives actual clear answers, using only information found within the show itself. (For the times when an explanation can't be *definitively* proven, they will admit as much, and just state that the explanation is the most logical and likely, given what is known.) It doesn't guarantee that you'll *like* the answers, of course, but you will *get* the answers. It's impressively comprehensive and well researched. (Some of it can also be difficult to follow and comprehend the first time watching - so I would space them out.) If you think it's something you might ever care to watch, here's the link to the playlist that you could save for some future day:

Part 15, "The Flash Sideways", is a particularly helpful one to watch, as it explains that aspect of the final season, which a shocking percentage of viewers *still* fail to understand. (No, they were NOT dead the whole time! >_< )
Based on the Lost music levels I made in Mario Maker 1 and 2, you know how I feel about the show - especially the ending. Like most people, I didn't like the ending the first time I saw it. But after watching through the show more times and understanding it and the ending better, I actually grew to love the ending. But it's not for everyone - I just hope people at least understand it before deciding how they feel about it. :-)
I want uncle Dave to play the most monotonous, suffering, satan incarnated levels, but ill throw him a bone and tell him he can actually call it quits whenever he starts losing his sanity
I feel like telling those swimming stories helped you concentrate on that swimming level; I'm also glad didn't only do one attempt on it, as well as were able to beat it SeemsGood
LMAO Oh my gosh, Dave- your diving into the pool story sounds so much like my younger brothers. My mother, two older sisters, and myself were in the pool- my younger brother (who was 3) runs past where we were in the pool (waiting to catch him) he like, dodges all of us, laughing like toddlers do (unaware of the danger) and jumps into the water and just sinks like a ROCK. We all just kind of stare in stunned silence as this happens before my older sister whose brain kicks back on first grabs him, yoinks him up out of the pool and he just starts bawling XD oof, poor boy. Yeh I kind of wished you would put uncleared troll levels into the Trolled series and not the uncleared series just because I like watching trolls so most of the time If I see an uncleared level, I would likely not watch it and then realize it was a troll level unless it is obvious that the level is about a troll level. That water level could of been worse... it could of been an actual branching maze in where you had to double back over and over. Maybe a few fire spinners etc.

The power ups in the square ant level makes it cheesable. Damage boost to the top of the square and ride to the warp box. Cool idea though.
I appreciate that DGR, good to your fans as always, no I wasn't one of em cause I would have felt bad but I enjoy these for the variety, though I understand wanting a break from some painful ones so no harm no foul lol
You should have specific videos dedicated to uncleared troll levels.
Maybe do some random trolls in their own videos (non-curated). Cause it's fun to see those occasionally (give exposure to unknown troll creators).

At 16:11 you died to a spike, DGR. There was a spike that was overlapping with the left side of the falling platform. Because you landed too far to the left of the platform, and because spike hit boxes are so unforgiving, you hit the spike as soon as the platform began to fall.
I think you should do a series of uncleared Troll levels in your #TROLLED series or a separate series of #UnclearedTroll Levels. #DGR #DGRDave #TROLLED

Dave, in HS I was a rower and we had to tread water every year for 10 minutes in full sweats. Yes in sweat pants and a hoodie. Even though we rowed in spandex shorts and a t-shirt. But it was a safety measure in case the rowing shell sank for some reason in the middle of a river or lake. It was pretty tough to do. I imagine if you had to do that you would sink like a torpedo. If only you would have had a frog suit when you were doing it in HS. 🐸😆

yeah 1 or 2 short trolls levels on the episode mixed with other kind of levels is fine, is just when the whole episode is just one troll level feels more like a trolled episode regardless of been cleared before or not
The swimming stories were honestly really engaging

Treading water: use technique.
At Berea College, you must jump in pool and swim entire length, then jump in deep end of pool and tread water while demonstrating technique for fifteen minutes. If you cannot pass this swim test, you take Survival Swimming course and pass it to graduate. No one graduates from Berea unless you can demonstrate those techniques.
Or just be me and naturally float at the surface. Don't even need to do anything. In a cruel twist, i'm much more comfortable diving...

I can’t go under water without holding my nose. So I went to a lake with friends and we went to this 50-60 foot cliff everyone jumped off. I jumped and went way deeper than I realized. Swimming up with one hand was not fun and it’s probably the closest I’ve gotten to drowning in my life.
If you breathe out through your nose, you don't have to hold it. I would definitely practice going under without holding your nose, swimming is much easier with two hands. (Also a bit unrelated, but you can swim with your eyes open in some conditions as well. As a lifeguard I had to practice both skills)

I'm trying to decide if the jellyfish level may actually be easier (or at least easier to see the path) than the level those come from in SMB3. It's obviously longer, but having a clearer path and not an auto scrolling screen is a definite boost in its appeal.
Also Dave if you ever read Lord of the Flies in grade school that's what the show premise was based around.
I don't mind the uncleared troll levels but it's less interesting when the troll level monopolizes the video and we only get 1 or 2 unclear levels showcased instead of 7 or 8. Uncleared trolls should be a series on their own if the have more than a 2 minute world record/clear time.
