This mod is making me actually want to start playing The Sims 4 again once it releases publicly. Mermaids are my favorite mythical creatures and I was so disappointed how EA handled them in this pack. Your mod just knocks it out of the park. So creative and so well done!
Same. Merfolk and aliens were nerfed SO hard. I'm overall very happy with Vampires and Spellcasters even though I would enjoy a few more magic for them, it was really disappointing to see how nerfed merfolk and aliens were. This significantly improved my merfolk gameplay but I am praying to God someone makes something interesting to beef up the aliens because holy fuck. We went from being able to abduct Sims, summon meteorites, and cause alien invasions to literally... nothing. And there's so few interactions for aliens to have with other aliens. I'm thinking like a UFO saucer type scanner that functions similarly to the UFO in Sims 3 would be a good start. Like maybe you can trigger an abduction and do a "mini invasion" and let the tiny flying saucer shoot lasers at other Sims and scan things for information XD. This next idea might be way too outlandish for the constraints of the game but aliens having force field powers and being able to create barriers that have a variety of affects and interactions would be really cool and definitely goes with the alien and space fantasy vibe ^_^. I've actually tried to commission people to make some kind of alien mod to enhance their gameplay but sadly no one is interested. I've been trying for 2 years and no one will take my money to make the mod 😭😭😭😭. Aliens and witches are my favorite types of Occult Sims.
My guy is really out here spoiling us occult simmers 😭😭❤️ God knows if you ever work your magic on vampires I may never touch into realistic gameplay ever again LOL I seriously could not be more grateful for your service. This and your werewolves mod have to be among my absolute favourite mods to play with. Thank you for giving our fish sims the update they so desperatly needed 🧜♂️💙
His Lycans are so much better than canon, furrybait werewolves. Even after the pack came out, he worked the lycans into the canon lore in a way it actually makes sense. He even came up with a backstory for Greg. The only thing I dislike is that his occults are not designed to accommodate hybrids.
If you want a decent vamp overhaul, Zeromods has one designed for a more neutral or evil playthrough (kill sims by drinking their blood, make them cattle, etc), also made a really good necromancer addition to the magic pack.
@@Raptorworld22 Oh I have that one and a few others by them! I also made some of my own to add to the vamp experience haha. Luckily vampires are pretty fleshed out already. Still I'm curious to see what SP's take would be on them if any
when island living came out i thought i could finally play h2o just add water but ea made mermaids really boring. but this mod makes mermaids really fun to play. im so excited right now. thanks for your mods🙏
This is absolutely FANTASTIC the sensitive scale weakness adds so much depth to the sims mermaid DEFINITELY never going back to playing with mermaids without this mod

tbh TS4 would be borderline unplayable if it weren't for mods, and this mod (along with your werewolf mod) are genuinely more impressive than every EP EA has released. the creativity, depth of storytelling and obvious time and care spent making this truly sets it apart as one of the greatest mods out there imo. thank you so much for dedicating your time and expertise to create such an immersive (no pun intended lawl) gameplay experience. you are truly appreciated in this community!
i really love playing with mermaids in the sims, but i've been really bummed out at how little they can do, this is a really really great extension to them and adds so much of what i hoped for and more!! thank you

There are not enough words to express how wonderful this is. When island living came out there were some expectations that were definitely unfilled for mermaids. Later occults, and even vampires, had things that made them very cool, but mermaids.... My point is- You did a wonderful, spectacular job on this modpack. The animations, the details, the new skills, are all amazing. I haven't played sims in sometime but for this mod, I'll play everyday. Keep up the great :)

When she turned into a mermaid from the contact with water it reminded of the line from the movie,Splash 'behold the mermaid'.I loved the music score from that movie.The dude mixing those potions is he wanted to sing 'Poor unfortunate soul'.Drafting contracts just like Urasula and Rumpleslskin.
I just want to say this is one of the best mods I have ever downloaded. It’s so in depth. I’ve been bored with the game lately and decided to try this out. I’m having so much fun with it. I’ve played it for hours and still have so much more to explore. It really gives mermaids in the sims 4 justice with so much fun gameplay. Seriously amazing job you are so talented ❤

I’m stunned at the detail. I mean, the custom music stings? The menus and icons? The detailed, fully rendered and grammatically correct descriptions? The animations? You really are doing EA’s work for them, because it integrates into their style *perfectly*. Extremely well done!
Love this new update. Watching this I was thinking about all the popculture references in it. Gillyweed is from harry potter, then there is all the little mermaid stuff with the seawitch. The abilities had me thinking about h20/ mako mermaids. That of course then had me thinking about what is not here and could be included in a future update. Like where is the God of the Sea Poseidon himself? And another ability/ skill - making merilia (the life-force of the sea) from the barbie mermaid tale movies. Creating nightmares come true and whirlpools to trap sims in.
I absolutely ADORE the mod , its so creative and i love all the little nods towards the little mermaid! its adds so much Lore and immersion to sims4 its an absolute must have!
Modders are a godsend for the sims, TS4 in particular. It infuriates me how EA has us pay so much for packs yet cannot deliver on things that we deserve for that price. Thank you so much for this mod
the sims team NEEDS to buy your mods, these need to be accessible to all simmers. not only does this add more replability but this could definitely add cross pack playability. I could already see sea witches dueling with normal witches and them using water based interactions....
the mods you and the rest of the modding community make makes me mad. it’s so easy for the sims team to include these features in updates or packs, but they’re too lazy to care. so excited to play this! it looks amazing!
I don't know what magical algorithm brought me here as I've never seen your work before, don't usually watch videos about mods either but WOW this is amazing. Shows just how much Sims 4 is lacking! This mod is right up my alley - when I do play with Sims 4 I like Sulani and the merfolk. The generalised mermaid stuff looks particularly great - why we haven't got a refresh from EA with mermaid skill tree is beyond me and why they never let the mermaids sunbathe on the floating loungers with their tails right from the get go! Sea witch stuff could have been done too with a cross pack compatability of Realm of magic (the ingredients that is but not so much the contracts as that would infringe on Disney plagiarism and not be Simmish or mermaid broad enough but I'm sure something else might have worked if they had an ounce of creativity that modders do.) What a fantastic job you've done!!!

No idea if is in the mod but what would be kinda small but cool to see is that you could hunt/catch for fish and seaweed, eat it row or cooked. Some sort of specific recipes for them would be cool too. Overall its just fantastic ,blown away 😊
Love this mod, but I'm encountering some issues. Is there a specific place to submit support tickets? If not, I'll just put it here: I get exceptions when I try crafting any of the items on the stove/oven. I tried looking for books 2 and 3 for mermaid lore, but they don't exist, even in debug. I also can't seem to find the sea witch grimoire despite diving deep over a dozen times. For the record, I don't have Outdoor Retreat, so if that's a requirement for crafting on the stove, it's probably a good idea to add that to the requirements list (at least as a 'soft' requirement).
Oh my goodness...! 😍 I'm in love with your mods. I have all your occults. They are so fun, exciting and I just love how they intertwine with EA occults like there's Lycans and there's werewolves. There's witches and there's spellcasters. (Fae. Period..🧚♀️) I built this really fun occult world with ALL occults. With this mod I'm excited to dive back into your expanded mod. (Pun intended.) It's the same as cc, put it in your sims 4/mods- just make sure any script files are only one folder deep in your mods folder, or they may not work properly.
Hey! I'm not sure you will see this but I'd love to translate all of this into french. I'm an avid Sims players, though I have no idea how mods work (not even remotely close), I LOVE what you did with your mod and I'm sure French players would love it too.
So I'm playing after the infant update (I never had your mod before this, so have only downloaded the most current version) and I cannot do a lot of the things. Can't collect water. Only volume 1 of the mermaid Lore shows up and ONLY in build/buy mode. I can't make anything that I have learned; it shows up but when you click nothing happens even if you have all the things. I found the special conch but even with the sea witch cauldren and the conch in inventory I can't summon sea witch. I love love love the idea of this mod though and the things I CAN do are super fun and really improve the game play!
This looks so amazing! I'm so impressed by the animations, dozens and dozens of interactions and skills, etc. They all look extremely well done, better than anything EA came up with... Have downloaded and looking forward to playing. Thank you very much!
This mod isnt showing for me at all, the files are unzipped and in my mods folder. Whats going wrong? Do i have to make a new mermaid or does a sim who was already a mermaid work?
On a whole the species is commonly referred to as Merfolk; mermaid being female and merman being male but I say be whatever floats your boat ;). I can't wait to Sim-mer again in Sulani thanks to you SpinningPlumbobs, you are mer-mazing ^_~ and I love what you do!!
When she turned into a mermaid from getting wet with the sprinkler, all I could think was "OH NAUR, CLEO!!" This mod is amazing. I can tell so much passion and thought went into making it. Good job! I'm excited to play with it! I always felt like the sims4 team made mermaids incredibly boring. Why don't they have a skill tree like the other occult sims?

This is amazing!! I havent installed an actual mod before, is it the same process as installing CC? Or are there more steps. I cant wait to download this!!!!
It's the same as cc, put it in your sims 4/mods- just make sure any script files are only one folder deep in your mods folder, or they may not work properly.

Hey! I'm not sure you will see this but I'd love to translate all of this into french. I'm an avid Sims players, though I have no idea how mods work (not even remotely close), I LOVE what you did with your mod and I'm sure French players would love it too.

I love how they can transform back into their mermaid form when they get wet
So I'm playing after the infant update (I never had your mod before this, so have only downloaded the most current version) and I cannot do a lot of the things. Can't collect water. Only volume 1 of the mermaid Lore shows up and ONLY in build/buy mode. I can't make anything that I have learned; it shows up but when you click nothing happens even if you have all the things. I found the special conch but even with the sea witch cauldren and the conch in inventory I can't summon sea witch. I love love love the idea of this mod though and the things I CAN do are super fun and really improve the game play!

This mod isnt showing for me at all, the files are unzipped and in my mods folder. Whats going wrong? Do i have to make a new mermaid or does a sim who was already a mermaid work?

On a whole the species is commonly referred to as Merfolk; mermaid being female and merman being male but I say be whatever floats your boat ;). I can't wait to Sim-mer again in Sulani thanks to you SpinningPlumbobs, you are mer-mazing ^_~ and I love what you do!!
When she turned into a mermaid from getting wet with the sprinkler, all I could think was "OH NAUR, CLEO!!"
This mod is amazing. I can tell so much passion and thought went into making it. Good job! I'm excited to play with it! I always felt like the sims4 team made mermaids incredibly boring. Why don't they have a skill tree like the other occult sims?
Have you ever thought of adding more to the mermaid mod?👀 like once the mermaid is exposed people can either hate them or like them, or when someone confesses to being a mermaid, there could be an option for sims not to believe them or sims get “tested”
