Living the dream guys. I have just purchased a 350, haven't even sat on one yet. But from all the reviews , it seems the one for me. I also have a KTM 1290R and DR650 which are too heavy for getting up to some of the mountain ridge lines where I live. Looking forward to having something that I can lift and drag around if required.
Thank you for informative review! I am going to buy 250 or 350, but I haven't decided which yet. I have splited recomendations for these. I am average skilled and experienced road rider and have some couple hundred hours experience in easy forest and mountain trails. Thumburn Fishing, which of 250 or 350 would you recomend as a allround bike, mainly for use on dust roads, trails and some tarmac roads to get there? Which can give more fun? Excuse me for my english, but I did not understand you said an 250 had an engine rattle like an 350 or no rattle at all... Could you explain me? Thanks!
Great review mate, I’m pretty much decided on a new 250 excf after you talked about how little vibration it has. I love my 500exc but want something lighter with waaayy less vibration. Would you still recommend the 250?
After all the riding on the 500 I fell it vibrates way too much for a purpose built off road machine the 350 is way nicer to ride simply from lack of vibration it goes through the feet and it’s annoying the 250 has zero vibration in feet or hands and 350 is nice also in this respect
I have a 500 and I find that there are too much engine vibration trough the pegs and grips. If I change to a 350, can I expect the vibration to be significantly on a lower level? Thanks
I just picked up a new 2020 ktm 500exc-f today USA version. I only put about 4 miles on the bike just on the road and I flamed out 3 times. Is that normal during a brake in period?
Great video dudes🤙🏼. Just bought a 2020 KTM 500 6 days USA. So jealous you auzzies get it without all the bullshit EPA regulations that make them run like shit. 12k for the bike and 2k to make it rip! I bought a GET ECU with map switch and WIFI box. and a pro Moto end cap with ultra silent tip. along with removing O2 sensor and smog delete the fuel vapor crap with Seat Concepts Comfort XL seat. the usual wrap around bar guards, ODI v2 grips, sicass multi switch on the clutch side and STI TECH 2 tires. Now just need them to come out with a tidy tail to get rid of that huge license plate/blinker set up and throw on a Europlate holder
We had a 300k ride on weekend I’m really liking the quiet exhaust I do find the 500 vibrations are a bit harsh compared to the 250 350 tell me what ya thoughts are on your 6 days 500 of vibration in the pegs
Thank you for the video. It was informative, better then most reviews. Cheers from America!

If I had to buy new bike again I would buy 350 instead of the 500 better all round bike
The 350 is the best all round bike no vibration nice predicable power and more than enough for weekend warriors
2:36 all Americans are like “so yall just gone talk though them killer animal noises in the back ground “ 😂 im scared 🤦🏽♂️
Thanks for the input guys. I'm looking to purchase the 350 in the States. Nice review!

The 350 is definitely the pick for all round smooth and more predictable across all riding
If you were riding a lot of higher speed roads maybe some asphalt highways, would the 500 be the choices? How does the 350 do at say 100kph? Thanks
The 500 vibrates too much at 100kph I’d probably put taller gearing on the 350 or even check out a 450

@@thumburnfishing Thanks mate much appreciated, ppl think I’m just winging when I tell them how much the 500exc vibrates haha. I’ll go with the 250f 👍
Perfect review thanks a lot !
You had me when I herd the accent 😂 I now believe anything you say 😂 continue kind sir 1:07 😂
Just bought a 350 myself so looking forward to it showing up.
How do you find it after owning it for a while now?
Definitely the 350 is the pick of the 3 bikes smoother engine with more than enough power
@@thumburnfishing yeah noice. Im super keen.
Thanks for sharing

Check the idle screw possibly increase idle we have found that none of our bikes have flamed out good luck
Thumburn Fishing Will do. Thank you!
KTM’s sold in the US are choked up with EPA emissions. Different ECU settings.
How is this 250 compared to CRF250l?
Never ridden the Honda 250l
Apples and grapes....
Performance wise it would eat the CRF250L for breakfast and still be hungry
Is there a brake in procedure for these bikes? Ride it easy for X amount of miles?
We just rode around steady with few various throttle speed bikes running very good
