It's a breath of fresh air to see a platform pushing to give creators more options when it comes to monetization. It's a great time to be a creator IMO and at the very least dip your toes in the water if this industry is something that you're interested in (as long as you know what your strengths/weaknesses are)
@@Braaaaaaathey don’t become greedy, they are spending way too much money, the same happens with snapchat, they do this to for a few years to attracts viewers and creators, and then slowly pay less. But it’s makes sense, it’s not greed. It’s just a business move
Kicks creator program will definitely be something huge for streamers/content creators. It will make people grind harder and it gives everyone something worth working towards, I am excited to see all streamers whether big or small succeed on the kick platform.
bro im just gonna hand it to you, the way you make your videos, your body language, your ideas, you are just amazing, i really enjoyed watching, what an amazing job on making this video, any smaller youtuber can look at how you do your videos and learn from it, i respect this channel, perfection ngl
I went hard at streaming and content for about 3 years and did well for a bit but it fell off after a while and I stopped. I wanted to give it another go but I was torn between going back to Twitch, or basically starting over on Kick. I chose Kick and I'm pretty happy with the decision, especially after recent developments with Twitch.
If Kick implemented the value for value that podcasting 2.0 is doing, they would become the new standard in streaming. Period. Imagine the viewers earning crypto while they watch and then able to send it directly to the streamer to support them. The streamers also earn while streaming. Etc.
As a streamer who streams EVERY SINGLE DAY for 2-3 hours on RUclips consistently im so interested in this Kick platform. I will be glad to change my language interaction on-stream to English if they seriously gonna pay me hourly for streaming video games. I'm tired streaming on RUclips with close to 0 viewers and shitty revenues that blocked by a payment threshold.
I keep hoping Kick just keeps getting better and better. Because competition between kick and twitch will only ever help the creators and viewers in the end
Fan of Kick, but just want to point out that FB Gaming has been offering 100% of sub revenue if subbed through PC/Mobile Browser. FB also provides a link for mobile users to use to subscribe to the streamer and give them 100%. The reason you see a typical 70/30 split on platforms is because of "App taxes". Why Twitch is 50/50 is beyond me.. but FB has been doing 100% for a while now, if not since day 1.
the fact that you have multiple camera angles shows us your dedication to being a great creator. you’re a great inspiration, E. really appreciate all of the insights you provide!
I really respect Kick, how twitch is treating content creators is exactly what most content creators are trying to escape being able to actually do something that benefits you but now on Twitch it is benefiting more for them then for you which is simply unacceptable and you are going back to those old work ways where you are working to make the rich richer.
Kick is very good for streaming, way better option over Twitch rn, however, if you are a small Content Creator from a less popular Game etc, its not really possible to swap over, cuz the main community just still will be on Twitch
great info! new to streaming, and see that Kick is a growing option with creator-minded... so, not streaming much yet, I saw something about needing to be on cam while streaming to qualify (or one of the things needed) to monetize? any info on that, if being on cam or on vid as a requirement?
I am streaming rn on kick, the hardest thing is getting people on. It's so hard, and fight with people with bot watchers. There is so much people with bot watchers it's crazy
A lot of people hate Eddie because he is owner of Stake and they lose money there that makes him rich, but in reality he is a good businessman. The way he talked about Kick being sustainable and how they’re going about supporting creators with 95-5 and not ever changing that, shows a lot. Can’t wait for Kick to take over!
Yea, Kick's basically like a Hotel in Vegas. . . Yes they're losing money by not running ads like Twitch or YT does, they're not taking a higher portion of the split made between the Content Creators and them like Twitch does (I guess the Content Creators in this context would be the dealers at the tables and the waiters in their restaurants), but if you got tens of thousands or maybe even hundreds of thousands are going onto Stake (which Kick is a subsidy of and this would be like MGM Resorts owning let's say Bellagio). So what does that mean since an online casino has an even higher edge than regular casinos do, it means that on the slots you're playing with an at minimum of 3% disadvantage and at a Blackjack table even if you're playing perfect basic strategy you're still losing .5% over there too. What's the point of me mentioning this? That means the amount of huge winners ratio to the amount of huge losers ratio is higher than in an actual casino which allows Stake to keep Kick's numbers the way it is. Also if you have huge supporters from shall we say Drake, Train, Eddie. . . Not to mention all of the people giving subs because they see their favorite content creators keeping the highest percentage of a Sub split out of every possible platform is huge. Now looking at the possibility of "Kicks" I love the infinite possibilities this prospect brings with it. Because if it's true you can give "Kicks" to a chat of the streamer, one of the things that comes to mind is bringing that content creator to the recommended list, or maybe putting them on the front page for half an hour. Might not work out like this and it might just be one of those things where if I were to give Big E's chat 2000 Kicks then maybe that means maybe the moderators get a chunk of that money. Because I as a streamer knows that moderators are an extension of a content creator, they keep conversations going, they ban bots and people being offensive, they troll the content creator on behalf of chat, they also clip things on behalf of the content creator (so the streamer can actually put this on some form of social media such as Twitter, YT, or TikTok). So that possibility also excites me, another possibility I see here is someone giving say Drake gives Big E's chat (since he's the man of this show that I'm commenting in right now) 200000 Kicks and it just spreads it evenly amongst everyone in chat and since our boy Big E here averages roughly 500 viewers (I'm rounding up cuz the numbers actually about 466 according to streamcharts) that means everybody in that chat at that time receives 4000 Kicks to go spread love to either Big E himself or even a smaller streamer who might deserve some of that recognition cuz they're struggling to get discovered. Also of Kick can give us that thing that Twitch used to give us which is earning Kicks for watching ads, I'd be watching ads for some of the content creators I would love to donate to right now but can't cuz I have no money. There's just so many possibilities with this that this probably needs it's own YT video/Podcast to speak on. Also, lastly but not least Big E I appreciate you for churning out this content, you were probably working on this for days/weeks, because the editing, the sheer number of times it takes to read a set of lines without coughing or sound like your stuttering is also probably a lot of time.
If it isn’t for love then it’ll never work. However with higher percentages and eventually an hourly wage. Then a lot of streamers that have communities etc will be able to sustain snd make money and continue to huddle.
I have no clue what's so cool about kick .. do I have to download a app? And wants to watch ppl on live doing nothing screaming at the cam like what speed be doing
I am a new streamer for kick, what benefit do I get from streaming? is that right that I can get like 16$ hour on stream if i get 75follower?do you have any tips or any hints that can help? Thank you!!
Yeah on Twitch I run them once an hour for the max 3 minutes, because I use that time to actually get up, stretch, bio if I gotta, & of course get more hydration because it gives me that excuse to get more water instead of sitting for hours straight.
No matter how much I stream, I'll always make so much more with my real job. Plus I enjoy it. I've streamed for 2 years and have made 0 dollars. To actually make money, it takes luck. That's what most people don't say what it takes.
right luck and consistency and having some formula to push, you need some type of momentum by tapping into things that happen to be relevant at the time. like most streamers have streamed CoD at some point. best thing Ive noticed is to release RUclips videos with something informative, where people can learn and are entertained to an extent. like tips, tricks, advice. similar to this current video. even with video games. then always push everyone to watch your stream as well on the platform you want.
can someone please tell me when in the world is kick going to add a SETTINGS option ? it says “ soon “ next to it on mobile its really frustrating you’d think that’d be one of the first things they add 🤦🏽♂️
i would be interested to see them also come out with some program like twitch turbo giving users ability to not see any ads or even things like special emotes
My question, and a great topic for a vid for ya, is how will kick handle copyright music? For instance, on twitch and YT I am currently subbed to epidemic sound and have my platforms connected to that so that I can freely use any music from them on my platforms. Sadly Kick isn't listed as of yet so how would we go about having BGM
Hey Big E would you ever do a video going over your OBS settings for kick? I feel like one of the big turn offs for kick at the moment for smaller streamers is that its a little rough getting started.
While I agree that it took me a while to set up Kick on OBS, their integrated stream dashboard actually does pretty well too and allows you to add in your own things. I agree though, they should have an OBS walkthrough
Great Video Big E, I've been loving life over on kick since I made the switch. I like the fact you mentioned utilizing other platforms as that is super important too. Whilst I get that not everyone will be able to be part of the creator program to earn the hourly rate, as it is likely to have some pretty high requirements, it's still nice to have a common goal to work and strive towards. Really informative video, your smashing it right now dude!

Can you get subscribers on kick and so they pay you?
Yes!
This is such great news, I can’t wait to start streaming on a platform that actually cares about their content creators
They all start that way.. until they get big enough piece of the pie. That being said join early and work it until it happens.
