Yup, and there's always more good days than bad days on trail!!
Seeing the downs of a through hike are way more important, glad you are ok. Thank you for this glimpse. Those dark times and subsequent thoughts on the trail are eye opening.

It’s mellow the trick is to get as close to each pass makes it easier in the morning plus going northbound is better cause the sun isn’t in your face the whole time. Can be a slog sometimes but then you see ages 60+ out there and you stop being a baby. Ha
Saw a 90 year old woman at the top of Pinchot Pass and highly reconsidered my life 😂

@@ChadLubinski I've always found that if you spend at least one night above 9000 ft before you start, you're probably good. That said if you don't eat or drink enough you'll never have a good time...that is just a killer. It used to be my daughter had to force me to eat - now I just know its the key and get it done throughout the day. The sickness is like hiking with a ginormous hangover....so fun.
