And how to know about them...with an idea to gauge management intent & quality.
According to me the franchise model is correct considering the fact that the franchise will try their best to serve better to earn more rather than keeping a manager to manage the dark store. And the company can concentrate on growing the business. And usually for franchise model there is a understanding in km for the minimum distance between the stores.
FMCG brands ensure a minimum ROI to their distributors to ensure continuity of business, as any disturbance will affect the brand's ability to service a market and compete in it. Similarly, the QCom platforms will do whatever it takes to keep the business attractive enough for the dark store partners. Also, any failure there will directly impact service levels.
Qcom will also be able to enhance operating margins by introducing new products, SKU configurations by new brands who will give them much higher margins as well as unique offerings compared to competition.
