- This is my 8th year getting a Beautylish Lucky Bag. It's a crapshoot. Sometimes you win, and sometimes you lose. I can tell you, I think I lost. But how bad did I lose? Let me know what you think!

For the scalp massager, if you use it in the shower, make sure to separate the plastic and silicone parts to let them dry after showering. They can produce mold quickly due to the water/moisture that can accumulate inside (it's hollow inside). I didn't realize mine had the inside covered in mold until it fell on my shower and split open😥.

LOL I trained as an engineer so the first thing I did was pull it apart to see how it was made. I don't necessarily recommend that approach as my curiosity does occasionally lead to an issue putting things back together 😂😂

I bought my first Lucky Bag regular and mine was so amazing! I got the Wayne Goss lipstick and pencil, a ND cheek duo, the new Danessa M eyeshadow palette, the Sonia G large powder brush, a holifrog and a good molecules full size skincare product! I couldn’t ask for a better box!
Aw, I remember watching these when your kids were younger, taking turns revealing products they had no idea about. 🤣 So happy to see them looking happy. Also, please tell Phoenix they are shining bright. ☀️

I got the Natasha denona glam pallete in my $75 box!!! I have never bought ND because I couldn’t justify the price but I was thrilled to get it!!
A brush like that is good for highlighter and for very targeted powder placement (like the under eye). It can be very good for liquid concealer as well if the concealer is very spreadable and pigmented.
I wonder if the lucky bags were not that exciting or "lucky" this year because to me 2022 makeup releases were not that exciting...🤔
I'd say the Sonya G brush is for highlighter. The shape looks just like my Nabla brush and it gives me gorgeous cheeks every time. Though I use the side, rather than the tip.
I talked myself out of it this year, cause… I really prefer to just get what I want nowadays and I already have A LOT… might as well avoid duplicates~
I use that Sonia G brush for either an all-over wash of color on my eyelid or for a first color to set primer. You could also use it for powder to set concealer.

I’m pretty convinced if beautylish knows you’re a RUclipsr and/or recognizes the name, they send a fantastic box. However, from what I’ve seen from names that the company does t know their boxes are meh at best. That’s why even though I find myself wanting to buy one every year, I never do. I don’t have the money to gamble. Even if I did I don’t feel comfortable basically throwing away $75-$150 plus shipping.

Angie stated in her video that she doesn’t use her channel name when she places orders. Beautylish didn’t know it was her, she legitimately got lucky with her box.
Mine was really fantastic this year: got the $75 bag got ND bronze palette, Hindash Palette, MOB single shadow and holder, Wayne Goss Lipliner and Lipstick, Good Molecules face oil and a Sonia G cheek brush. It totaled $247.

I’ve watched a few of these now. I’m at least impressed that they seem to try and make a cohesive box. Most people get an eyeshadow palette, blush or highlighter, and a lipstick.
so far, the bigger bag has been so much better than the smaller bag for everyone. I have never gotten one of these but got on the waitlist for this year. I guess it is always a risk!
I have a scalp massager. I use it with my shampoo in the shower! It's really good for your scalp! Promotes hair growth too! I use it for at least 60 seconds in a hurry but if not in a hurry, 5 mins. Some cultures do it for 5 mins every day and their hair is beautiful, healthy and long!
I use a brush like that with loose powder to set my under eyes. I find it helps me not put too much powder in that area. Hope you find a use for it ❤
I tried to get one and they sold out while I was checking out my cart. I’m actually not disappointed after seeing other unboxings. I think not getting the lucky box was more lucky.
I have one of the scalp massagers. I have weak fingers due to disability, so I got one to help me work my shampoo into my scalp and I LOVE it.
I've never been able to snag one, but I love watching everyone open theirs up!! So sweet seeing the kids so little, my guy is 9 hard to believe.
The detail brush is one of my favorite brushes, I use it to powder my undereyes/lids and then after eyeshadow I go around the edges to smooth everything out!
My partner has a dry scalp, so I got him a scalp massager for Christmas, and I got a pack of two for like $8 on Amazon 😂I kept one for myself, of course! I use it with shampoo in the shower, but I found that I have to put the shampoo on my head first; if I try to put it on the massager, it doesn't go to my scalp. So at that point, a regular DIY scalp massage does the same thing. So, not a bad product, but not really a necessary one, either. Definitely not worth Briogeo prices.
I always think about ordering a lucky bag but am afraid of the disappointment 😂😂
My box was almost exactly the same except instead of the Sonia G brush I got a set of the Units face brushes (the ones with the orange handles) and instead of the Hindash palette I got a Charlotte Tillbury Easy Eye palette. Also, the Wayne Goss lip products and the MOB products were different shades but otherwise the same. I was happy with mine!
There seems to be similar items in all the lucky bag unboxings I've seen this year, especially that monochromance palette.
For someone who is just getting started in makeup or someone with a small collection, this would be a great bag.
I think the Sonia G brush would be great for highlighter. I usually use those types of brushes for highlighter and they work wonderfully. Plus if it's not firm, it will be great for blending out so the highlighter is not just one stripe on the face
I have a similar looking brush from elf as that Sonia G one and I love using it as a highlighter brush. If it has similar density, then it should work nicely for that. Another possible use would be for when you want to "reinforce" very specific points in your face with powder ie. if you get oily in the middle of your cheek area or under your lip but you don't want to cake up other places.
I recently started using a scalp massager when shampooing. Got mine on Amazon 2 for 8:99. Also, MOB is a good brand. I believe it was started by the creators of MAC. I have a full palette of their shadows which are of excellent quality.
Scalp scrubber is fantastic. Use with a pre-wash hair oil to work in your scalp and also with shampoo. You’ll love it.
I'd use that shape of brush for under eye powder or highlighter. I love ND face pallettes and use a brush like that when I want to layer all the highlighters.
3:24 I love my scalp massager. I used it to clean my scalp when washing my hair. So much easier than using my fingers. And since using it my hair dresser has talked about healthy my scalp is.

I use that scalp thingy with shampoo and I will never go back. It makes such a difference without messing with your nails.
I like that you calculate your personal value, that's how I usually do it for myself with mystery boxes. I also would have been disappointed with this box because I have almost all of those products and I do not want the palette because I heard it gets hard pan. Still waiting for mine so fingers crossed it's different!
I love Mob Beauty and Sonia G brushes. I use that one for precision powder. I use it to set my lids and my under eye area. I use it every time i do makeup. Love!!

Hi Jen, I’ve been buying a box for the last 6 years, I think out of all of them I was disappointed in just one but it’s a gamble every year for me. This year I got another good box, got a ND pallet I’ve been wanting. I got that ND My Dream Pallet, Holifrog gel cleanser, Good Molecules face oil, Wayne Goss Lipstick and lipliner, Viseart duo blush pallet, and a Sonia G Flat Definer brush. My value was $211. The lipstick and liner were a light nude so I’m giving that to my niece. That Sonia G brush is excellent for setting small areas on your face, concealer, perfect or highlighter❤
This was my first Lucky bag. I purchased the XL bag and I was thrilled with some stuff like the Sonia G limited edition Hinoki brush duo that retails for $120, Oribe body creme, and a viseart quad that was recently released and i have wanted to purchase along with a MOB blush. I received a Wayne Goss lipstick and lip liner that really isn't my shade or I would've kept it and the Hindash Monochromance palette, which I don't have but really wanted a Wayne Goss eyeshadow palette. At least i didn't receive any products that I already own and I have a very large collection. I went on the beautylish website and totaled everything and it came to $311. There were a few other things as well.

I have a scalp massager, and I do use it with shampoo. I have dry scalp, and I feel like it helps with that as well as feeling good.
I would use that brush shape for highlighter, but I have a small face- but that's my favorite shape and size for a nice targeted highlight.

Highlighter and makeup artists use brushes like that to gently swirl in the concealer.

I'd the beautylish ,it's fun to see what you get,even if it's a so-so box,that's a risk you take,other types of mystery bags/boxes are fun to,sometimes you might only get 1 or 2 new things,but it allows you to try maybe brands you haven't tried or heard of before❤

This is The 1st year in 5 I believe that i haven't bought this bag. I haven't been into makeup lately. Or subscription boxes I kind of got bored of beauty... blame it on covid.. . i think i put make up on probably once a month. In saying all of that, I'm excited about watching your video. The beauty lish lucky bag video is one of the very 1st videos I've watched of yours 6 years ago.. we got to see your babies grow up with the beautylish videos. . Hopefully the bag is not a dud and a waste of your money. ❤️❤️

I think that brush size is perfect for highlighting!
I would use the brush to set my under eyes! To lay down a soft layer of powder on my 45+ under eye area, brushes like this work wonders.

It was an ok box. Would I be happy with items most likely. Because I just love trying brands I haven't gotten to be able to use before.
The Sonia G brush! U can definitely use that for your transition shade especially if u want it all over the entire lid, but...I would most definitely use it for highlight! Not the tip, the side of it. Dip the side into your powder highlighter and dust on them cheekbones and most definitely down the center of nose and tip! Oh and don't forget the cupids bow and maybe a lil over your eyebrow closer to your temples!
I get tempted by these videos but then I forget the bags each year lol. I've seen some that were wow! & others were meh. The Littles have grown! I remember seeing them help you do these a few years ago. Have a wonderful weekend!
Just got mine today (Australia). I'm disappointed in it.
*Mob blush with holder. I sat for around 20 minutes trying to get the blush to fit and my nail ended up going through it and still not fitting. I had to look up a video on how to use the packaging. Ridiculous.
*Hindash palette that I already have
*Wayne Goss lipstick and pencil. I think I already own both but they are wearable so I don't mind the spare too much.
*R+Co hair product that I probably won't use
*Good Molecules oil I'd probably use in winter
*Sonia G blending brush...yay! Actually happy about that one.
I use that type of Sonia G brush for my setting powder. Less is more. I dab it under the eye, around my nose. Doesn’t pick up or deposit too much product.
I'd be excited to get the Wayne Goss lipstick and liner. I think his makeup line looks lovely.
6:58 same, no lid space here…i would use that for either highlight or (more likely) applying powder under they eyes so i dont apply too much.

The scalp massager can help with hair growth. I use my on dry hair about 3 min every night to get the blood flowing.

I enjoy watching seeing what everyone got from Beautylish, thanks for doing it! I tried to get a lucky bag the last 2 years since hearing of it, from you and others. But I have never been fast enough. I need to be faster!!!
For me, this years bag was the BEST I’ve had! It’s my third time getting it and I got the $150 one for the first time. I saw a box and instantly was amazed! I got the Natasha denona retro glam, a palette I have literally be wanting for a while and would’ve been the next palette I got! I also got a lot of makeup products that I will actually use, a lipstick and pencil from Wayne goss and a liquid matte eyeshadow that would work perfect as a base for me. Plus, only one of the products had something I was allergic to! The “duds” was a fancy hair product for fine/thin hair, which is the opposite of my hair, and $50 sleep mask, which isn’t bad, I just wouldn’t pay that much nor do I typically use them. But, it is silky and sexy and I could definitely see it being used in some *spicy* ways lol
I bought scalp massager from Amazon for less than 10 bucks. It's one piece so no mold worries. I love it and use it with my shampoo.
I haven’t been purchasing much as of recently, so everything in the video piqued my interest. It seems so odd to watch this video and you are the star. I didn’t realize how long I’ve been watching you.
I'd use that brush for precision highlighter application, most highlighter brushes are too big to get it only where I want it and not just all over my whole cheek.
LOL! I use the scalp massager on my husband's cat - I got one in a beauty box and immediately tried it out on her...she loves it.

I received all the same as you except for the pallet, mine was a Charlotte Tilbury. I was very happy, but this is only the second time I purchased so don’t have a lot to compare to. My daughter got the XL box and it was definitely worth it to me…two eye pallets, one Tom Ford and one Natasha Denona.
You could use the Sonia G brush as a powder brush for small areas (maybe under the eye or around the nose).
You can use the Sonia G brush for applying highlighter!
I stopped getting them when I received one bag with two face primers...haha. (I know it's part of the risk but I was bummed.) Excited to see what you got! Awww sorry that you already had your big item! I do think the Sonia G could make a nice highlighter brush. Hmm...you'll have to keep us posted!

I'd never comment this to her and I'm happy for her luck, but -
I do believe she got the XL bag (not because she has a channel btw). There IS a formula to filling these bags, employees can't just throw 20 100$ items in one.
The retail value for the regular bag is between 150-300 and for the XL bag it's 300-450.
I think it was 2 other people in the comments of her video who also got an extra lucky bag. Everyone agreed there are a set number of extra lucky bags in each box range. The others who bought that box got the same items but only 1 Sonia G brush. I was jealous but very happy for her and it was so sweet when she nearly burst into tears, I would have definitely been in tears 🤗.

Aw Jen, I'm sorry you didn't get really lucky bag. It's such a bummer when you get repeats. The Sonia G brush is great, but when it's not functional for you, then it's no use to you right! What a bummer. But I know it will make somebody very happy receiving them in the giveaway. Good luck everyone.

I use my scalp messager with my shampoo. For it, it really gets off any build up and I’ve honestly noticed a different since I started using one about a year ago. I especially notice it if I’m away and forget to pack it in my bag.
You can use the blending brush as a highlighter brush. I have a brush that is similar.
That Sonia g brush is the perfect highlighter brush for me.
I use my scalp scrubber in the shower with shampoo, then rinse it and use it to work in my conditioner, too.
I have two scalp massagers-one, I use dry. It’s electronic (although waterproof) and I use it atop a bonnet or satin scarf just for the gentle rotation because it feels good, but I don’t want tangles.
The second is a silicone one from Dollar Tree and I love using it with my shampoo. I always passed on the Briogeo one due to price. I’ve tried many of their products and they’ve just never been worth it full price for the amount of hair on my head.😅

MOB Beauty - started by the founder of MAC and the original chief chemist of MAC. It’s new with sustainable packaging and I believe completely sold through word of mouth and socials. Haven’t tried it yet but hoping it’s great.

Your the first creator to not feel luck and I understand…everybody else(the ones I watched)who didn’t like their bag in the title I feel was just clickbaity and the bags were much better than they are claiming. I love my scalp massager, and yes, I use it with shampoo - I use bar shampoo not liquid - I expect it works just as well or better for liquid shampoo. I think I got it at TJ Maxx for maybe $5? $6? Something like that.
I love MOB beauty! They carry it at our credo in SF. It’s awesome quality and eco friendly. It’s a score!
I use that brush for setting my concealer with my setting powder. It’s one of my most used brushes. I’m sorry you got the same palette. I got a lucky bag if you wanna watch mine. ❤❤❤❤
