Hey nurse here, quick thing about pimple patches I wanted to point out. If the pimple patch is hydrocolloid based material (a lot of them are) then you don’t even need any active ingredients in it necessarily. We use hydrocolloid dressings for wounds in nursing, it provides a protective barrier to promote a moist and bacteria free healing environment and that’s mostly why it works so well against acne. It does not dry out the pimple, which you don’t want anyway, it actually does the opposite (I’ve heard people mention these dry them out). One big thing is to make sure you apply it on clean skin though. Just my two cents from someone who works with wounds daily and pimple are kinda like little wounds. I love this pimple patch trend, really good stuff!
Hi Charlotte, I have had a question about these pimple patches for a while that you may have the expertise to answer. It is my impression that the hydrocolloid is usually used on open sores in medical applications. So, can it really do anything for a “closed” pimple? Is it still effective through intact skin? Hydrocolloid provides an occlusive and waterproof healing environment that is optimal for wound healing. It keeps bacteria out and moisture in and can help to absorb the drainage from a pimple. That’s why you often see it turn white after use. You can even buy hydrocolloid dressings at a drug store and cut them into small pimple patches yourself.

Hi Jen, I looked up the cheek tint on the Youth Foria site and it states that the reason that they don’t recommend using it directly on the lips is because your saliva has a different pH than your cheeks, and it will alter the color of what’s in the bottle if you were to apply it directly with the brush given.
The Glow Recipe serum is SO GOOD. I got it in a BoxyCharm a year or two ago, used it up completely and bought a replacement in the larger size. It’s just lovely stuff. The moisturizer in that line is really nice, too, ftr.
I always enjoy fff unboxings, but I always wait for yours. I love the in depth review and work you put into it researching. Seeing every single product as an option, and what you chose! Glow recipe products changed my skin and so much for the better. I have normal to oily skin and their products do not make me super oily but have given me a very healthy glow. I think their products help my makeup last longer, too.
I stopped getting FFF because I really wasn't grooving on the excess of skincare. Yet I watch these every season from you and absolutely love to watch. Thank you for the hard work! (Also, it helps me judge if going back to the box is worth it for me.)
yea I agree they leaning more and more and more on that sorta going away from when it first started i stopped to not worth it to me if i want tons of skincare ipsy it is I loved fff because it wasnt that they losing it nice to see im not alone
@@sassyd8738 Exactly. If I wanted skincare then Ipsy is better deal by far which is why I use it for just that. FFF had a niche and is alienating people by getting out of the really nice niche.

This will be my first FFF box ever and I am crossing my fingers that the wine glasses are still available when it's my turn to customize! I don't even really drink much at all unless it's a special occasion or girls night, but I just love pretty glasses so much! You definitely sold me on the serum and the youthforia blush too, I just rant out of the benetint I've been using for years so that looks right up my alley!
I want the fall FFF. Mainly for the bag in pick 1. I got the daisy 1 a while back. It's great for overnight or weekend trips. Id love another one for longer trips and I don't mind if they don't match. It looks like this bag may be a bit bigger too.

Just got my Fall box. I felt like the best options in this box were skincare related. As someone with fragrance sensitivity i didn't choose the Glow Recipe as I didn't know how strong the smell was so I got the salt/pepper jars. Can't tell which one is which so I hate that lol. A similar bag was offered a few boxes back so I had to get Murad even though that is not something I would ever buy. I got earrings and I'm surprised they are super comfortable. I don't do silver but if they are as waterproof and tarnish free as they claim then it is worth it for every day wear to make sure the holes don't close up lol (work from home life).
I’d LOVE to get an annual membership again - but I simply don’t know what’s going to happen financially in the next few years (having to retire from my job due to health issues) so I don’t dare. Wish they had an option where you could pay for annual as a one off, rather than them tell you they’ve billed you after the fact (which was the big issue I had with them)

And then with my second one I can pick some more wildcard items. Might try the spice jars and throw blanket. Hoping for a couple more additional choices and may pick a couple mystery choice items if available.

I got a duffle bag from the same brand last year, that rubber pull will fall apart. Prepare like a keychain ring or something else you can hook onto it because I'm telling you it will not last. That being said, I'm probably still going to pick it because I like how it looks
That youthforia blush is calling to me. And I have no business buying it lol. I also switch up my skincare routine regularly. If I'm using something with glycolic acid I'm gonna stay away from any ahas or bhas in the rest of the routine. I have a range of products I use. My favorite right now is the marine hyaluronics from the ordinary, I find straight up hyaluronic acid doesn't sink into my skin the way I want. Edit: that cover fx highlighter palette is old AF, i bought it last year on a boxycharm sale for like $10. Its nice but i basically never reach for it.
So, I have that coffee scrub. I got it from Ipsy because it says it would help with scars and I had a spinal surgery last May and HATE my scar. It's so dark and I want it to fade so badly. But omg the way the scrub smells is INTENSE. Especially when you're in a confined space (ie the shower) and the steam from the shower almost seemed to intensify it. I still use it in hope that my scar will get better. But I despise the smell and have to practically hold my breath. And I love the smell of coffee. The scrub is just too strong and is not what I want to smell while I'm in the shower trying to make myself smell fresh and clean lol

In English, they is used when a pronoun is unknown. Phoenix is non-binary and does not identify strongly with male or female pronouns. Similar to when you haven’t met someone and don’t know their pronouns, we use they/them for non-binary people. Hope this helps!
Wow I literally had all my choices prepared but wanted to watch you anyways to see what you got and what you thought and to my surprise we chose all the exact same things in the first 4 categories but I’m going to get the striped duffel. I got a silver pillowcase slip from FFF a couple of years ago. The one I got was NOT big enough for a king pillow. BUT It wasn't terrible. Do I use it anymore, nope. I cancelled FFF last year because I just don't need more stuff. LOL Still haven't used all my skincare stash up that I quit buying last year. . . but it's neat to see what they're including. . . hmmmm

I wish they had more vegan “non toxic” marketed products I have overly sensitive skin I am not a “non toxic” person but my skin seems to be better with those types of marketed products the simpler the ingredients the better my skin seems to do with it
I tried the verb heat protectant, but tbh I hated the smell. I'm someone who wants my hair smelling like when you go to the salon or very tropical like coconut/pineapple. My go to heat protectant is from sutra beauty or biosilk but as far as leave in conditioner goes my fave is the IGK mistress hair balm. It smells like a tropical coconut paradise
A couple of great leave-in's are Bumble & Bumble Blow dry Serum - it has a fantastic texture, like a serum and completely takes away frizzies - you can also put it in and air dry - also Briogio "no more frizz" - I think is the name smells great!
The Glow Recipe plum plump lip mask is the closest thing I’ve found to the original Bite Agave lip mask. My fave of all time. I just wish it came in a tube because I only use it at home. I 😂don’t mind using my finger to apply but, I don’t like sticking my finger in a pot throughout the day.

Jen, take a look at Dr Drays content re pimple patches, the "plain" ones without skincare ingredients are her preference, the design of the patch IS skincare on its own. She actually says avoid the ones with salicylic as that may be too intense. Either way, thot you would want to know, the unmedicated ones are not scammy, the hydrocolloid material is a treatment on its own
My wife has canceled this subscription 3 years in a row, and they keep charging her. This year, it caused overdraft fees. Don't ever get in with these scammers, you'll never get out.
I have been a subscriber for years and even canceled 1 time, they were great 👍 i have seen comments of people getting their money back after getting charged for a purchase they didn't approve... uuuh might want to send costumer service an email, she might be lying just to get the box 😅 I ask my bf to buy the yearly subscription as my birthday gift or Christmas. She probably loves the box and that's why she wont cancel x.x
I canceled my FFF, because even though my apartment number was on my address in my profile, they NEVER put it on the shipping label. That made my box take forever to get to me. I complained each time, but nothing was ever done.
Yeah I tried buying a couple of the KVD tattoo liners specifically wanted the brown one and it was dry AF. I have up on it cuz the wet & wild bff eyeliner is $5 and stays put all day so why bother with others. Wish it had a brown certain

I’ve been using the glow recipe pink drink in our hot, humid climate lately and thought the plum plump would be an unnecessary addition, but you made it sound so good!!! Do you think they’re comparable or completely different? I’ve loved every glow recipe product I’ve tried, but have sooo much skin care. Do you think the brand as a whole has enough actives for 45 year old skin or more suited for younger skin? I would die for you to do a video on all the products in the line (also Perricone MD). I’m a scrub girl, but had totally crossed the coffee scrub off because it seamed to messy vs any benefits. Now I’m interested in it too. I seriously need to rethink my choices 🤦♀️😘😘
I bought the Youthforia blush and promptly returned it. I looked like I smeared Vaseline on my cheeks. No color and it never soaked into my skin. Total fail. Total disappointment...

I tried a coffee scrub in the past and the mess was more than what I wanted to deal with. Frank makes a rose body scrub that I absolutely loved.

First Aid Beauty cleaner really does remove makeup, including eye makeup! I’ve been using it for years now and it’s amazing.

I also switch up my skincare routine regularly. If I'm using something with glycolic acid I'm gonna stay away from any ahas or bhas in the rest of the routine. I have a range of products I use. My favorite right now is the marine hyaluronics from the ordinary, I find straight up hyaluronic acid doesn't sink into my skin the way I want.
Edit: that cover fx highlighter palette is old AF, i bought it last year on a boxycharm sale for like $10. Its nice but i basically never reach for it.
So, I have that coffee scrub. I got it from Ipsy because it says it would help with scars and I had a spinal surgery last May and HATE my scar. It's so dark and I want it to fade so badly. But omg the way the scrub smells is INTENSE. Especially when you're in a confined space (ie the shower) and the steam from the shower almost seemed to intensify it. I still use it in hope that my scar will get better. But I despise the smell and have to practically hold my breath. And I love the smell of coffee. The scrub is just too strong and is not what I want to smell while I'm in the shower trying to make myself smell fresh and clean lol

Hi Jen! I love your channel with all the info you supply! But I have a question. When you mention the Phoenix you say they...im confused. The plural tense makes me think you gave twins maybe. In English, they is used when a pronoun is unknown. Phoenix is non-binary and does not identify strongly with male or female pronouns. Similar to when you haven’t met someone and don’t know their pronouns, we use they/them for non-binary people. Hope this helps!

I wish they had more vegan “non toxic” marketed products I have overly sensitive skin I am not a “non toxic” person but my skin seems to be better with those types of marketed products the simpler the ingredients the better my skin seems to do with it
I tried the verb heat protectant, but tbh I hated the smell. I'm someone who wants my hair smelling like when you go to the salon or very tropical like coconut/pineapple. My go to heat protectant is from sutra beauty or biosilk but as far as leave in conditioner goes my fave is the IGK mistress hair balm. It smells like a tropical coconut paradise
A couple of great leave-in's are Bumble & Bumble Blow dry Serum - it has a fantastic texture, like a serum and completely takes away frizzies - you can also put it in and air dry - also Briogio "no more frizz" - I think is the name smells great!
Interesting choices but a lot of the choice items are things I don't need more of. The bag looked cute but I've got so many bags.

The Glow Recipe plum plump lip mask is the closest thing I’ve found to the original Bite Agave lip mask. My fave of all time. I just wish it came in a tube because I only use it at home. I 😂don’t mind using my finger to apply but, I don’t like sticking my finger in a pot throughout the day.
I can't believe that the company was stupid enough and didn't sell the bite mask formula before closing down. I am trying to find a dupe for yeara now

Jen, take a look at Dr Drays content re pimple patches, the "plain" ones without skincare ingredients are her preference, the design of the patch IS skincare on its own. She actually says avoid the ones with salicylic as that may be too intense. Either way, thot you would want to know, the unmedicated ones are not scammy, the hydrocolloid material is a treatment on its own
I also saw Dr Dray say something against Glow Recipe years ago and I have never been interested in it since 😂

You peaked my interest in products that weren’t on my radar😩😂 I thought the youthforia seamed gimmicky and would turn the same color on everyone and was concerned that the oily texture would not go well on top of foundation. I’ve been using the glow recipe pink drink in our hot, humid climate lately and thought the plum plump would be an unnecessary addition, but you made it sound so good!!! Do you think they’re comparable or completely different? I’ve loved every glow recipe product I’ve tried, but have sooo much skin care. Do you think the brand as a whole has enough actives for 45 year old skin or more suited for younger skin? I would die for you to do a video on all the products in the line (also Perricone MD). I’m a scrub girl, but had totally crossed the coffee scrub off because it seamed to messy vs any benefits. Now I’m interested in it too. I seriously need to rethink my choices 🤦♀️😘😘
