  • One of the underappreciated games out there, Child of Eden is a 2011 musical rail shooter game where you, the player, go on a journey to defeat viruses that are infecting Eden and save Lumi, the human girl, who is captured by said viruses. Honestly for a 2011 game this looks absolutely gorgeous, though it is very short as you can beat it in under two hours. This also has motion controls if you wanna play it on Kinect or Playstation Move, but thankfully you can play it on controller.
As you can see I've already completed everything here except the "Hope" archive. The Hope archive is basically a psychedelic endurance test, try to beat 10 levels without getting hit three times. Sounds easy right? Well no, because in the previous archives you can get health and Euphoria Bombs, which are basically nukes that get rid of the viruses and their projectiles on screen. Here you only get three bars of health, one Euphoria Bomb, and that's it. And they don't even give you any health or bombs throughout the archive. So if you managed to lose all your health you have to start all over again, which is very annoying since this is a twenty minute archive. I was lucky enough to get hit once and beat the whole thing.
This is a really great game, shame it didn't sell well though. I would've loved to have a sequel of this game.
