That Clatter Craw in the Swamp Craw color is EXACTLY what our craws look like around here in the ponds. The craws in our reservoirs seem to have more orange than red coloring though though.

You'll be surprised what size bass will eat a 6in swimbait. You don't have to creep it on the bottom either(with the cull shad). You can burn or slow retrieve the cull shad, works well a variety of speeds. Good size bait to try April/May time in your area. Good luck with all the new stuff and happy new year

All those Berkley baits and colors are so sick. I have an assortment of Berkley crank baits and just bought some Stunna 112's and a few of the 100's. Those Cull Shad look sweet.
I use the magic swimmer for pike, striped bass, and blues. Berkley purchased the pattern recently. They work well! I like to troll them with a weight to get them down more.
You will like the cull shad baits I have had fun with them so far. And have 3 new one for spring. The Nessie is another one you would like to try 👊 Happy new year
Great video TJ, that was the motherlode from Berkley. The Godson and Godfather are the two missing pieces for my Protech collection. I believe I'm down to 10 or 11, I won't be happy till it's just right...lol...The runt 5 is instant open, it hilarious they were able to make a knife faster than they already do, Protech is the gold standard in autos.

i have a couple of cull shads, and i like them, but i prefer the magdraft still. also, try out the bass mafia loaded swimbait its amazing, and they just came out with a smaller five inch that looks killer
I throw the bottom hooked pre rigged swimbaits over grass and near but not into wood. I throw the 6" unloaded with a 8/0 3/8oz beast hook up into everything lol.
Use the cull shad like a spinner bait and cover water and since it’s the treble version I wouldn’t use a super stiff rod I would use a rod with a decently soft tip and if you do manage to hook a big one a more flimsy rod is gunna help keep her pinned when she comes up and try’s to shake it.

Great Video Jim. However you said “ I may have over done it”, are you feeling ok? A tackle junky never over does it. 😂 at least we can claim that. I’m surprised you didn’t pull out the finisher or switch?? For those bigger cull shads an owner beast hook worked well for me. Branching out is difficult at times, but I think you’ll like the tackle!
You gotta try the Bass Mafia Dangerous swimbait it’s got a top hook and is much less susceptible to hanging up, it’s available in 5’ 6’ 7’ inch, very versatile and durable!!

6/0 or 8/0 owner beast for unrigged. Swim around shallow cover. I don’t throw the cull shad but I’ve thrown the unrigged magdraft a bunch.

You need to try a bladed A-rig with some dummy baits for dirty water. You'll definitely get bit on it. I use 3 1/8 oz heads and two dummy baits.
