💯 never sat right with me a white man telling a Black woman what she is or isn’t. Reminiscent of them in real life believing they know us better then we know ourselves. To go to AFRICA, see greatness and tell a Black person what that greatness in and isn’t based off of, it was so realistic and so….white people like. Also per usual in real life n the comics he was wrong and she IS infact a REAL Goddess n as T’Challa royally said what Storm is is “bigger than any mutation, it’s the gift of godhead passed down from ur ancestors. Claim that gift”. She was a goddess All along, Charles knew she was a mutant be he DIDNT know she’s a Witch n magic royalty per her witch bloodline being so powerful it got Oshturs attention n she decided she wanted to back them whenever they needed her. Her witch ancestors are so powerful they made her a God. What I wanted so bad for Ororo to say was “all that u took from me, all that u took me from, I was considered something greater and u told me I wasn’t, only for me later discover that what u denied me…I REALLY AM N HAVE BEEN ALL ALONG. What do u have to say to all of that?”. Her bloodline goes all the way back to hundreds of thousands of years and she comes from greatness he can’t even conceive of yet he dimmed her light n greatness for his cause. Humph art imitates life.

Storm was actually the sole leader of X-Men from issue 139 onwards. Cyclops was semi-retired from that point. The contest in 201 occurred as he became more active again as his marriage started failing.

Storm has nothing to do with Magneto and never had any connections in there.The only thing Magneto fears is Goddess Storm.

I’m happy to see Storm with another black guy cause 99.9% of the main powered heroes are in some bull carp interracial relationship..I’m like what in the agenda is going on..even the gay black heroes. Her mom did marry a normal guy and maybe she sees something in him. But we know Marvel want let that happen cause they don’t want Storm with any kids.
It’s good to see Storm finally standing against Xavier cause more than anyone she has stayed by his side and embodied his dream even when he has looked down on her and not just Storm but Jean as well. He has put their enemies above them but Jean has never treated Charles like Storm and Jean has even stated that the only reason she has returned to the X-men was because of Storm and that one time Storm did leave it was Jean who convinced her to come back. It’s a pity that this Marvel don’t explore their friendship like back in the day.
So Magneto is gone, Cyclops has (been) broken that fatherly bond with Xavier and just recently Jean finally turned away as she never really displayed any type of bond from jump. Now Storm too!?! In fact Magneto has always viewed Storm as someone with great potential and was the first to dub her as “unarguably the most powerful mutant”.
🙃I hope X-Men Red becomes a long run even if Storm does move on. I wonder what Vulcan is doing and will he gain his senses so he and Storm can join up

On the other hand she's setting herself up for a fall as well..and has been for quite some time. From her utter hubris over the mysterium element and arakko, to taking more and more on herself without giving up anything, to running roughshod over Wakanda....she's buying her own press as "the ultimate empowered black mutant woman-goddess" a bit too much....if only because everyone next to her is corrupt ,incompetent, or conditioned to be a subservient follower.

I like that they date but having them stay married would seriously limit Storm's potential. If she was still married to T'challa, it is unlikely that she would be able to be the head of Arakko and on the Quiet Council while still being the queen of Wakanda. It's too much. I really like everything that has been going on with Storm since the Hickman era.
@@karmabum21 I understand your point. I still feel their love/marriage could have endured the trials, tribulations and separations. Presently Tchalla’s storyline pulled him away from being an active King and his nation is a democracy now. There is space for it all and they can stay together and evolve differently.

Go read X-Men versus the micronauts online sometime.... You'll get a prime example. And although technically it's in a completely separate continuity ironically enough Adam Warren and the empowered series touches in on the concept of the problem of high-level telepaths when dealing with the character of Mindfu** and her brother neurospear. Oneself edited his psyche to the point of other psychosis.... Mentally and physically mutilated his sister to make her "stronger".... And her response was to mentally edit her own mind to literally create a personality completely incapable of becoming what her brother became with multiple redundant backups just in case. Telepaths are SCARY.

@@michaeltaylor788 fair enough. Though that has fluctuated over the years, depending on who is doing the writing. Of course the same could be said for most mutants being depicted these days...Storm included. But for now you're probably right.
I don't think Storm has the Lactuca buff right now. She only got that in the Sins of Sinister timeline when she was about to confront the Quiet Council five years into that timeline. No indication she has already done that here, though she might be aware she could do it, this was likely part of the record Mother Righteous showed them. She'll probably know something of Jon Ironfire from those records as well.
I do think that Charles when he recruited Ororo to the team recruited her a bit too well. Especially with how he has been acting lately.

It's about damn time Storm stood up to Professor X and put him back in his place. Him trying to probe Storm without her permission was wayyyy outta line. Never really thought about his dismissive behavior toward Storm, but it's becoming clearer. I love how Al Ewing does his research and shows that Charles has always thought of himself as "better than" his students when theyre actually a lot stronger than him.
Can't wait to explore more of Arakki mutants because there is so much potential there

I never liked that imagery of a Caucasian man going to Africa to tell a black person what that black person is or isn't. Reminds me of when Biden told black people that we're not black unless we vote for him.
Professor X is a man of science back then so to him she was not really a god because back he mostly dealt with science based stuff plus it was good he got storm on the team.
I thought it was you weren't black if you vote for Trump. No matter how much I agree with that statement it was not a yt man job to speak on it.

In Scarlett Witch #2 writer Stephanie Williams did Ororo major justice changing Storm from having “untapped magical potential” to having active witch powers. In this issue Wanda needed to go somewhere but the place she needed to go required 2 beings of magical birthright to enter and even Storm tried to apologize saying “Wanda I’m flattered but I’m no practicing sorceress” to which Wanda shut everything down saying “the potency of ur BIRTHRIGHT dwells in u nonetheless” Aka u might depend on ur Atmokinesis (weather manipulation) in battle but even that is powered by witchcraft as u come from a long Royal powerful line of African witches that’s goes back to the dawn of humanity itself and also blessed by demiurge elder Goddess Oshtur n her sister Gaea. Once they got to the island Storm noticed that their was something covered in fog and she cleared it to which Wanda said “Ororo u r def part of the sisterhood”. Storm didn’t know what she meant and Wanda said “u see things others do not that was no ordinary fog it was a magical barrier meant to keep this island hidden as I said before practicing sorceress or not ur gifts are potent” also aka (ima keep breaking it down for y’all) the island that they went to was hidden by MAGIC but Ororo could see the island cuz she’s a magical being. Wolverine, Rogue, Gambit, Beast etc WOULDNT of seen the island it would’ve been completely hidden to their eyes, Jean n the professor wouldn’t even be able to see it they might’ve been able to sense it cuz they psychic but Storm being a witch and of magical birthright whether she likes it or not could sense and SEE it, that’s her witch side coming out. It’s now canon that Storm even tho she doesn’t practice the magic in her bloodline is so powerful that has STILL developed her witch powers despite not actively practicing and they surface for her whenever the situation calls for it even if she doesn’t realize it. So now we know Storm has “witch sight” n “magical awareness”. Not to mention the fog was a magical barrier like a force field, made of MAGIC. Remember Storm saw the fog first and cleared it out the way, a FOG force field made of magic which means that when Storm brought the force field down she thought she was jus using her weather powers which she was but Wanda was telling her when u brought the magic force field down u used magic as only magic can undo magic. So now we also know her magic is tied into her weather manipulation. After that lesson they face a powerful water demon that Wanda couldn’t defeat on her own, Storm tried to help but mocks her mutant powers as ⚡️ didn’t work against it. Wanda tells Ororo she meant why she said about her being part of the “sisterhood of witches” n to focus on that (magic) when she summons ⚡️ and in that moment Storm cast her first spell saying “GREAT ANCESTOR AYESHA I CALL UPON U FLOW THROUGH ME SO THAT WE MAY OBTAIN WHAT WE SEEK N NOTHING MORE”, as she said that her ⚡️ turns into the 7 power symbol n binds the water demon n place. Fun fact Ayesha is Storms great great great great many many greats grandmother and the first human Sorceress Supreme holding the title for almost 4,000yrs. Ayesha used the magic from the family’s bloodline to make her durable n extend her lifespan another testament of the things Storm could do if she started practicing. Ayesha was also the most powerful magic user n her time as Aggamotto was looking for the next Sorcerer supreme n came to earth n held a competition with ALL earths magic users competing with their own raw powers for the title n AYESHA won. Ayesha was the first of Storms ancestors to thanks to her mom have the power to wield raw arcane mystical power n witchcraft, raw power n magic from her father who was a Faltine as Ayesha could also travel the multiverse. Ayesha Faltine father is also where the blue eyes n white hair comes from (like Clea who’s also half Faltine). The third blessing of power given to Ayesha when she was born came Oshtur herself, Oshtur blessed Ayesha with the power to control the forces of nature n that particular known as the “windrider gene” surfaced n the bloodline every 5 generations (all women of the line were born witches with powerful magic but Oshtur blessed them as every 5 generations one gets to be born with blue eyes n white hair presence of the Faltine n also the weather manipulation). Ayesha used all that n battle Aggamotto made her Sorceress Supreme she was so powerful. GODDAMN THIS ALL JUS SHOWS HOW EVEN MORE POWERFUL STORM WOULD BECOME IF SHE STARTED PRACTICING HER MAGICAL BIRTHRIGHT. SHE WOULD BECOME A TELEPATH, TRAVEL THE MULTIVERSE, SPELL CASTING N EVERYTHING. Her blood line already made her a real Goddess allowing ppl to pray to her and now we know SOME of her witch powers have developed n been around all along letting us know the magic n her from her bloodline is so powerful that abilities have manifested n are “potent” as Wanda said even tho she doesn’t practice

This was tough to read cause on one side storm had every right to move the way she moving. But despite it all I can’t help to feel for Charles, Xavier never really had his time to grieve over mags. Judgement day he was in the trenches, sins of sinister, finding out he’s infected and it might be permanent, and the only thing he wants to kno mags last moments and storms like whatever when she was really mad what xavier was doing in sins. But good stuff

And thank god shes doing just that, and while i still prefer Storm and T'Challa to be together. I dont mind Greig but, i wonder how long tgis will last? Either way i hope storm and the brotherhood of mutants stay strong and keeps going for a lomg period. I rather not storm join the xmen again cus in all honesty their toxic (minis Jean and Rogue)

Im excited to see how they tie up the Ten of Swords stories because that captivated my interests to the point I bought the whole collection. I was hoping that Genesis and Storm would have personal interaction or be related maybe 🤩

The jacked up thing about Xavier wasn't that he does probe, it's that he doesn't realize how he places himself and his dream above individuals. These are individuals who he recruited, who bled for his dream, and even became friends and peers that he talks down to.
Jean had moments with, in your examples, 2 villains. Not that those things are her only oversteps, but I can see where she has a higher moral standing when comparing

I chalked that up to being caught up in the mode of thought about who was the most non-powered character she dated.
At the end of the day, one can't really say, "without the powers and tech..." because he DOES have the powers and the tech (and the royalty, and the skills, and the genius, etc.). It's probably just harder to recall the last regular human she dated, but I guess the point was ultimately, everyone else significant was pretty much a mutant (Forge, Wolverine [bleh], Slipstream [not particulary significant but a mutant]) and BP is the only one who wasn't.
Xavier has been an ass for so long , that he needed the people he thought would never POP HIM one good time to do that. Storm is one of those people who had to POP HIM one good time.
Ironically she was only able to POP HIM that one good time because he trained her how.
He may be an ass, but he was a highly caring and protective one.

He's like the type of person that if they made a call to let someone else shine and that person was hurt or worse, he'd blame himself forhis own ineptitude being the reason. The "talking down" is unnecessary but it's an emotional rant coming from the fear of failing them.

Chuck loves his students to death. (no pun intended lol) Otherwise he would have never taught them something that would let them protect themselves even "from" him. But that is the root of his suffering. In his mind, he has failed everyone he ever cared about and it's been destroying him for decades. When xmen red was announced ik I would love it and xmen had been my favorite xmen series
I knew they will try to hook Storm with Craig as soon as they introduced him in one of the x-men red issues where she arrives in Arrako finally and starts destroying the machines Uranos deployed .
Right it was so obvious, though I wonder if this will be permanent or will she be back being single or pass around by the other xmen members? I hope her and T'Challa get back together cus I hated what John ridley did un his trash story
I clicked on a video covering this comic, saw Ernie's related video listed below, clicked off that one, went to this one!
Those flashbacks also reminded me of some of the New Mutant comics how Xavier would interact with Dani/ His internal monologue was also very assholeish, but it did seem like he was trying to change. I guess after the first set of kids he was trying to be more understanding. But obviously that didnt hold over very well.
I’m not surprised the white sword was taken out so fast Genesis and Apocalypse together along with their children are a force to be reckoned with !

The last 20 years of X-men writing has been basically to sh!t on Xavier.

I miss the old storm when she was an Xman. I love the story but not her development.
Professor X used Storm to fullfill his agenda.The problem is Storm is a superior God and she was blinded by her rage against the devils.Hence she decided to join the Xmen.Storm hates taking orders.She is a God.Her personality is also divine.

Ernie, absolutely LOVE this channel, it’s a must watch for me. I just have a “nerd scrutinization” to do. It wasn’t the Shadow King that crippled Charles the original time like you said at 8:26. It was the alien Lucifer, back before he created the X-Men. Now Shadow King did cripple him later, back in “Uncanny X-Men #280 (the Muir Island Saga. Right before Chris Claremont’s and Jim Lee’s run in X-Men#1 (1991). But again, I love this channel and I always “..Hulk Smash…” the like 👍🏾 button!!!

I don’t like when Xavier is written like this. If he’s not a symbol of hope of mutants or the leader of the X-men, than why even keep him around? He’s literally just a jerk and a punching bag in every comic now. Like now Magneto is a legend and a good guy, and Xavier is just a pompous jerk that nobody believes in. He’s not even an omega mutant anymore, and he used to be the worlds strongest telepath. He’s nothing special anymore and it annoys me 😂.
Professor X finally being able to walk he would try to take control of the team he's been leading on the sidelines for years... I don't really care for the past couple decades where if Charles Xavier is around it's just a matter of time till when he's the bad guy again.
As for the X-Men reboot "blah blah blah of X", I fuckin love it all so much. Same with Venom & Thor over the past few 5 years or so.
I honestly wouldn't be mad if they touched on Tarn manipulating her powers for her benefit. I just feel like Storm needs to be OP, but it needs to make sense and also have a unexpected part of it. With that and the Scarlit witch situation would make her powerful enough. The details of her storyline is and can be so interesting compared to "clay" lady

Honestly, if the comics writers are just going to keep sh'ting on Xavier I would rather they just give him an honorable death and allow him to stay dead. I'm exhausted. They have done their damnedest to make sure he not only has zero redeeming qualities. They have systematically made sure that they retcon any that he ever had.
Let him go live in space with his parentless daughter or something. Or just let him and Magneto be grumpy 9ld husbands yelling at Polaris and Legion to turn the heat up from their rocking chairs.
All kidding aside. The X-Men are like old azz adults. Charles needs to shift his focus fully to politics or to younger mutants or just be a villain. I was kind of up for the Erik and Charles murder spree I though we were gonna get at the beginning of House of X.
