Myself and two brothers fished with Arrick's this last year... it is to say that even these several months later, our three brothers still smile and wave in the general direction of Arrick's (not to mention the Slippery Otter Pub). :) We caught more (really nice) fish in our two days worth of fishing than we'd experienced during the fly fishing experiences we all had since forever. Even though Mrs. Arrick was from our home town, and welcomed us to Arrick's Fly Shop with enthusiasm, we understood that Mr. Arrick had found the love of his life. Arrick is the real deal... check his operation out. Best Regards, and thank you Matt!! Fred and brothers.
Flyfishers: don't touch your fish unless you absolutely have to do it. Today, devices such as the Ketchum Release can let you free the fish from the fly without ever touching it. If you have to have a pic, get an underwater camera - they are cheap these days. Handling trout greatly increases the risk of mortality. Thanks and tight lines!
No need to fight, but if the trout at the beggining was able to survive the claws of an Osprey, I think it will be just fine with human fingers. No need to be a fundamentalist on deep science.
You have a great video i watched every min of it.I'll be back to see more . Thanks for sharing with the world. If you have a chance check my channel out.If you like hit subscribe.Let me know you did and ill say WHAT UP?! HOLLA AT YA BOY!!!!! Keep up the good work! Take Care God Bless!
I don’t understand why you boneheads feel the need to hold a fish out of water for that long. If you plan on releasing fish and want to preserve the resource for other catch and release anglers take better care of the fish. We don’t need thirty seconds to look at a cookie cutter 14” rainbow.

That "early black" is a Skwala Stonefliy...small wings, very weak fliers, spring emergence.
