You said "a very fast" SD card, but was it a v90 UHS II card? I use Pro Master's Rugged Cine series cards in mine - mainly because my local shop has them and I trust them - zero issues so far with the c70 recording long interviews in the highest bit rate and lots of 4k 60 long gop b-roll. It's also worth noting that there are only a few brands doing 256gig UHS II cards at the proper rating so it'd be unfortuneate if one of them wasn't up to the task.
That was one of the card I tried on it, but it turned out there was something with that camera in specific, actually considering getting one for myself.
@@LucasPelizaro I corrected my previous statement to ask if it was a v90 card that failed on you :) At any rate, the Rugged Cine series v90 cards have been great so far, I have a set of 256gig and 128gig cards - zero issues with them and the bright orange color makes them easier to see. I believe Delkin is their parent company and they have a pretty robust reporting and replacement policy in play for the Cine series. My friend has also had great luck with his v90 ProGrade cards, no idea if they have the same replacement policy though. I've heard it's good to stay away from the Luxur cards as they tend to have a higher failure rate, but I don't have personal experience with them. If you're in the market for a 4k 60 cam, you can't do much better than the c70 right now. My one - major conflict - is that the system doesn't exactly encourage you to use the newer RF glass as it's all full frame and you'll be compromising with it no matter what you do. To that end, I'm hunting down good EF glass and using the Canon speedbooster - it's pretty great, but I wish there was an rf to rf speedbooster that would let me invest in rf lenses without the compomise. Good tip, if you do get the c70, grab both the speedbooster and a regular stright or ringed adapter as well, having the option on set for the extra zoom or wider frame has saved me a few times now. I also have some great sigma and tokina crop lenses that work beautifully on the c70 with the ringed adapter - the tokina 11-20 atx-i has been a standout lens for close in gimbal work.
Honestly, I saw my life flashing through my eyes when that happen, specially when renting a camera it was scariest moment, luckly nothing happen to the camera. haha'
Are you sure that you can't record while swapping cards? According to some research because ibdo not own the camera yet, it is possible to change cards while recording 🤔
Man, such a great video!!! Seems like all the companies are going through the stage of making cinema cameras smaller, like back in the day with mirrorless vs DSLRs hahah Sony recently released FX3 which takes a lot from their mirrorless cameras but its a cinema camera hahah Anyway, awesome video! Keep it up brother!
Couldn't agree more! Very excited to see what else these companies are going to make, I'm just afraid I won't know what camera to get next! May try and rent a FX3 for some tests!
Tell me about it man, I saw my life flashing through my eyes when the camera felt! I shot comparison between the two that I'm hoping to put out in a couple of weeks, so we'll see🤫
I like the look of your hand-held footage. Nice. Thanks for the review.
Thanks for watching and taking the time!
I respect the fact you mentioned the drop.
I had to!

Man my heart stops beating, seeing the camera dropping. 😂

It may be because the SD card I was using was faulty, but when I tried opening the SD port the camera stopped the recording.

do you know how to use the Exposure Compensation AE-Shift manually? need help! bcs mine grayed out
Hey sorry to hear that, I'm afraid I don't really know
Omg you dropping the camera made me jump 😭😭. Would this be a camera that potentially replaces the c200?

@@LucasPelizaro Hahah! I'll be on the lookout for that video!
@@emmanuelboadi3176 I have both cameras and C70 is better in every way, expecially for single oparators and run'n'gun.
Wow, 0:19 mark... This is when I exit.
Totally understand!
Yes, it's the card, C70 is not compatible with every card.
That may be the case then, thank you
@@LucasPelizaro The best card to use in C70 is the Sony Tough Card V90...
