Yuzuru Hanyu, a true hero. He keeps on challenging himself while the others told him “enough”, he keeps on dedicating himself to the sport despite the cold/unfair treatments so undeserving for a two-time Olympic champion. Not to mention his charity work, his bravery, his drive. Thanks Yuzu, for teaching me a great lesson, to better myself everyday. Please be happy & healthy, don’t let others defy you, do your own thing .... you are always the first in our hearts, no matter what.

Just wondering, but what kind of unfair treatment has he gotten? I saw people saying the ISU is cold towards him in a few comments :(
@@rendiggietydog ISU tends to overlook athletes from smaller feds while giving "candies" to those who are from big feds like USA or Russia. Furthermore, they always want to kick out skaters who are old (Yes in figure skating 24 is old for men and 19 for ladies according to "some people") no matter how accomplished they are by downplaying their achievements and underscore them in comps to make space for youngsters. We saw this happened to legends of the sport like Plusenko, Yuna, Mao or Pattrick Chan.
For many seasons, Yuzuru was 1st in the world ranking due to him being a complete package, excel in artistry and skills. He brought in huge interest for the sports, people travel around the wolrd to see him. His name alone will ensure tickets outsold. He is bigger than figure skating itself. He is one of the most loved athletes in history. And ISU see this as a threat, because what would become of them after their cash cow retire? So they tried to push the narrative that others are better and Hanyu's time is over. (Also Yuzuru broke world record while being underscored in Worlds 2017, if you are interested, look up Hope and Legacy in Helsinki - that was one of his masterpieces.)
After winning 2 back-to-back Olympics Gold medals, people thought he would retire to enjoy his fame and financial success. But he donated all his winnings to the reconstruction of his town which was destroyed by tsunami and earthquake in 2011, and continued competing. And to many's surprises, he gets even better. However, his jumps that got rewarded full GOEs in the past now only got +1 or 2, while the quality stays the same or in some cases even better. On the other hand, jumps that lack height, difficult entry, pre-rotate or under rotate are rewarded with generous scores. This outrages fans, they voice their opinions on social media but ISU unsurprisingly ignore that. This year GPF is a new low for ISU as judges even gave low score to Yuzu's PCS, which is just riddiculous to everybody.
So in short, ISU is the public enemy right now until they clean up their act; starting with the unfair and inconsistant judging.

Yuzuru Hanyu - 2x Olympic champion(Last time this was achieved in male figure skating was in 1952). Have asthma since since 2 yrs old.Skated while injured at 2018 Olympics and won. Survivor of 2011 Japan Earthquake. Donated his time,winning prices,books/auction/exhibit/etc earnings to the rehabilitation of earthquake/tsunami/landslide affected areas in Japan(Tohoku area). Humble. First to land the Quad Loop. Despite already being the GOAT, still working hard to improve his skills.

And most importantly, his skating is full of art and emotion, which means that just watching him performing on ice, you will feel so touched as if you were saved. Tuo ISU:n toiminta on kyllä täysin järjetöntä ja häikäilemäntöntä. Eivätkö he tajua, että sitten kun Yuzu lähtee, lähtee myös yleisö? Ei tässä lajissa koskaan ole ollut sellaista ilmiötä kuin mitä Yuzu on, enkä usko, että enää koskaan tulisi toista saman veroista.
Törkeää on myös se, että he ovat Yuzun suosion takia nostaneet tapahtumalippujen hinnat ainakin nelinkertaisiksi aiempiin vuosiin verrattuna.

@@adorjanbalazs6751 Yes. This young boy is quite impressive. I am a figure skating lover, not Japanese. Yuzu's performances always move my heart deeply. And, he always challenged himself on/off the ice in past years. So, his image of a superhero is already impressed in his fans' minds deeply for years. He is a back to back two-time Olympic Champions. This video just fits his personal character really perfectly. He is well-educated and his heart is so pure and beautiful as his performances. He is loved all over the world not only in Japan. I am here to state that he is the proud of our world. Sorry to Japan, in my mind, Yuzu is far beyond Japan.

On top of being the greatest figure skater of all time, having won 2 back-to-back Olympics, broken 19 world records, achieved the only Super Slam in men's figure skating, having the most magnificent jumps and the most exquisite skating like poetry on ice, he also has a heart of gold, always showing deepest respect to everyone in his sport from his direct rivals to rink staff, donating all of his Olympic prize money to earthquake disaster relief, trying his best to use his skating to help and bring happiness to people. The definition of a legendary Olympic champion athlete.

He's a huge idol in the sport of figure skating and is a worldwide phenomenon. You should try watching some of his programs, they're fantastic, he really flies when he jumps, so I see no surprise as to why Google said he was a superhero who could fly!
