I think I'll combine Kattober & Peachtober. Katt's list has been the only list I've wanted to do until now. I didn't know about Peaches. It's cool to see their favorite subjects to draw appear in prompt list Thank for this video! I had to do Inktober in college & & it's much easier to keep up with when you're graded on it.
I'm not taking part this year not because of the prompts (I actually had an idea of making a comic with each prompt being a frame) but because since IG made it impossible to sort posts by newest under hashtags it's ruined all such movements for me. A huge part of Inktober was finding new and underexposed artists, now you only see the already big accounts. Add to that the official Inktober account does an awful job at promoting different styles and featutes almost exclusively black and white and retro cartoon styles with a smattering of stylised realism... Why take part in a community event when there's no wider community and the community which exists is very elitist? But now seeing these alternative lists... Maybe I will try after all.
I know what you mean. Personally I do it for myself as I feel like I’ve achieved something when I complete it. That and I do use it for content on RUclips, I’ll Post to Instagram but I know already it won’t get me anywhere
I just found out that two of the three weekly sketches required for the drawing class I’m taking will be Inktober sketches 😂 Guess it’s good I’m committed! 🤣
A prompt list I absolutely love is Drawtober. The community is really engaging, and the prompts are set to give six pieces. For someone like me that likes to do detailed paintings and comics, it’s phenomenal to have five days to work on a piece
I did Drawloween last year and it was awesome, this year's list is almost identical though so I'm doing Birdtober and using the prompts to paint all Australian birbs ☺️ Such a fun time of year!!
I went and made my own list of random inktober prompts after going through old prompt lists. Then for each prompt im drawing/creating characters for a book im writing. And theyre all dragon people🤩🤩🤩🤩 Im inspired by this cuz it also means i can world-build a little more. Im so hyped
Thought this year I would mix a few lists up, last year I did Kattober and artyfartober together which was fun. Thought this year I have four list I like so why not just pick the prompts I like the most and do these over the next 31 days. Going to try and do small drawings like you did last year so am going to section of my book and just have fun. Definitely using only ink this year, last year I did ink watercolour but because it was watercolour my paintings slowly got bigger which isn’t a good idea. So small frames in a friendly alcohol paper book and just ink and alcohol pens aww alright so going to use pencil a bit as well just in case. I also did my inking at the beginning of the day thought I would do in the evenings this time relax after tea with a nice draw and inking. Hope you have fun can’t wait to see your videos on Inktober.
These don’t seem to mention a type of medium. Can you use something besides ink? Frankly, I’d love that. Does anyone know? Personally, I was looking into witchtober.
I like to do the official list personally but I do it for my own channel growth and not to support him! The list is very bad this year, might even do my own next year
Which list are you following this year?

I'm following artfartober 😀
Drawolleen looks interesting
It's nice to have options. After seeing this year's list, I've been calling it "Stinktober" in my head, lol.
Stinktober sounds like a month at Shreks house 🤣

Me too.
Going to be my first year. I’ve never had the confidence…I’m a beginner, and I’m going to go for it!

It's really awful tat one cannot see the newest posts anymore. :/ At least there's daily hashtags, so that helps.
My favorites are the Shiptober/otp prompts is when you draw your favorite fandom couples in any scenario and situation.
Not heard of that one. Seems like a lot of work!
@@zoehartist It is, but if you are using your favorite couples, it's worth it.

I actually ment to include drawtober in this video… whoops!

Good luck with birdtober! I know a couple of people doing that one!
Thanks for compiling the list of lists for us! I love the idea of picking and choosing amongst them.
No problem! I know a lot of people want to do something but not the official
List!
Aww! Thank you so much for sharing my list! 🖤🖤
No problem!! I wish I’d seen your list before I started prepping the official list! I love it!
Your deskmat is amazing!!
I love it!
I’m going to do a butterfly, bug or caterpillar every day
Sounds fun! Good luck!
Thanks so much for doing this video. Very helpful.
Thanks for watching!

I definitely advocate for small drawings! Mine this year are even smaller than last year!! Good luck with all the prompts you do Paula!
I thought of combining lists, too. Thanks for letting me know its acceptable. 😊
Definitely going to try some of these lists!
Good luck!
They are all good and better than the official list 😅❤
Yeah it’s not great but I do like that it’s open for interpretation
@@zoehartist I’m sure you’ll boss it I look forward to seeing what unfolds ❤️
I had come up with a list of animals, but I'm going to change it to the spooky list.
Good luck!
Ive made my own TBH
I’m personally doing risetober (inktober but rise of the tmnt aka tmnt 2018 themed and you can draw it digitally and with color)
This years inktober prompts were so hard ☺☺
Too hard!
Drawlloween looks interesting 😊

It’s your art use what you want. Even
Inktober I tell people to use whatever they want.
I use hero forge miniature creator to make dnd like minis using the prompts as themes. I call it Forgetober.
@Damage-Inc. that sounds like a a lot
of work!
thank you for these alternative lists!!!🎉 it's nice to not have to support inktobers creator
I like to do the official list personally but I do it for my own channel growth and not to support him! The list is very bad this year, might even do my own next year
