Over 3.5 million people invaded the streets of Moscow to witness Jean Michel Jarre's most spectacular concert to date. Invited by Mayor Yuri Luzhkov to celebrate the 850th birthday of the city, Jarre mesmerized his audience, transforming the state University into a huge animated screen and having among his guests 4 'Sukoy 27' jets and the astronauts, live, from the MIR space station.

I looked up the promenade in front of Lomonosov university on Google Earth and it's only 750x150m, not to mention that large part of it is taken up by alleys of trees and a pool, so I certainly can't imagine fitting 3,5M people there. How did they get to that number?

:) I have that concert on DVD here at home :D But it's Paris La Defense Jean Michel Jarre's concert in Paris in 1990 which is my favourite and the best :D
The concert title is Oxygen in moscow
LOL, I think ondineclaudel was talking about the music, not the concerts. The first track is Second Rendezvous, from the Rendezvous album. I think maybe the title must of misled him/her. As this is indeed the concert Oxygen in Moscow.
