The hard drugs during the Encore period threw Em into a downward spiral. I don't think anyone doesn't give Em his flowers, but he hasn't made anything since that rivals the MM trilogy, either in popularity or quality. He had a few good steps along the way with Relapse and MMLP2, but not a single album better than any of those records. It even goes as far as his feature game too, Em had some crazy features back then with Renegade, I'll hurt you, Forgot about Dre, etc., yet he doesn't have a single crazy feature rn.
Im happy that I dont have to defend Conway. Its still a crime that you both left GDMM out of your top 10 list but you gave him the flowers he deserves in this video. Btw have you listened to his newest project? I think its pretty fire!

Logic is still in his prime bro and so is Sean. Drake is still in his prime too but focuses on the wrong kinds of music. If he dropped just rap it would still be an AOTY contender.
watch this dropped only a couple days ago and its already at around 60 million streams. its been kind of shock to me recently just seeing how popular and influential he is still
doesn't make sense to me to say drake is still in his prime but joey isn't when the arguments for joey not being in his prime are the same as drake not being in his prime. and joey's current music output is still way closer to his peak than drake's
em is still on its commercial prime, it's just different, now nobody buys CD's and Vynils, you just stream them through your phone, and it takes 1500 streams to equal 1 sale.
Not really understanding the College Park disrespect, if everyone like Vinyl Days that much.. they're both great projects. Only difference is that College Park is a conceptual album. So many wanna rule it out just cause of the skits. Imo they just tell a story. Sure the acting is silly and cringey, but they're just skits. They got versions on RUclips without the skits
idk, College Park was a great album, he’s been on a 3 album run, and i think he’s starting to re enter his prime, No Pressure, Vinyl Days and College Park is just as good of a run as Under Pressure, TITS, and BT
Uzi is my favourite rapper, and while i still really enjoy his new music, it hasnt hit the same as his older music. His voice sounds different now and he doesnt use his signature flow switches as much. You can tell when a song was recorded just by his vocals. Im really excited for pink tape though, because ive heard nice snippets and leaks
I think it's bc the topic is album. You named songs from Kamikaze, M2BMB, and Side B. As albums, they don't meet merit. If you cut out the good songs then yes, you can still get gems. But as pieces of work, you don't really get a cohesive album. M2BMB does work, but he repeated a lot of what he's been saying for a long time. That's why even that one doesn't hold up as a great ALBUM.
12:00 I get what y’all are saying. For me, as a new rap listener, who just got into listening to music a little less than a year ago, I really like ea, but I think you guys just had too high of expectations, and you were expecting something insane, so it disappointed you guys. But like you said it’s grown on you, that’s cus it’s actually good. Hopefully the pink tape will be really good
I kinda like how Eminem circled back to his early 'Infinite' days of just rhyming and having fun He never found success with that project. People didn't find it appealing, didn't fit with the time, wasn't gangster during the height of gangster rap etc. There was a lot, although people have gone back to that project to say he was ahead of his time like Canibus and DOOM respectively Now that he has no worry about success anymore, he just went back to having fun like he used to. 'MTBMB' was pretty random and carefree which reminds me of his style on 'Infinite' Definitely not in his prime, but good to see him content with himself
Yup.. i like what Em is doing. He's been there done that, achieved everything. Now he just does whatever tf he wants do and doesn't care what anyone thinks or says... and i like him that way. Idc even if he does silly shit but.. As a fan i do wish he drops an album that would rule the world.
@@hrishid291 yeah, there's always that itch to have an artist you enjoy release that kind of dominant run again I'm content with how he is though, he's already given us the classics and the good albums. post 2011 eminem has still had a really impressive career but when you factor in that he had the highest high of any rapper ever it becomes impossible for him to top, someone like nas does not have the same expectations and nobody shits on nas for that bad ye project but mention eminem and people have bring up revival. and nobody really wants “mature eminem” because that’s not who he is. he’s not going to rap about investing and crypto
Asap Rocky is just not hungry anymore in terms of music. If you released your most hated album and don’t drop any project new in 5 years… But I enjoyed his 2022 collabs so maybe he could come back
You can’t say someone is out of their prime but can get back into it. A prime is the complete peak, when you’re past that you can’t get back to that level. It’s just a contradictory comment to make
Eminem was the highest selling solo male musician of the 2010s. That’s utterly insane to me. Not Drake. Not ye. Not Ed Sheeran or JB. Not even someone like Calvin Harris. That’s utterly insane considering he released 4 albums in that time - 2 of which were not very quality.

Eminem: No, it ended in 2002
Drake: Not really art wise but definitely still in his prime in terms of popularity
Lil Baby: Coming to the end of his prime
Lil Uzi Vert: Has had a slow decline but could potentially become bigger than ever with his next album
ASAP Rocky: Past his prime just based off his recent singles/ features, he could prove me wrong with his next album 5 years after Testing
Lil Wayne: Definitely past his prime, still killing features though
Big Sean: Past his prime though Detroit 2 was one of his best albums and that’s as recently
Logic: Past his prime and should retire
Joey Badass: Still in his prime
Conway:Still in his prime
Accurate list
Logic is still in his prime bro and so is Sean. Drake is still in his prime too but focuses on the wrong kinds of music. If he dropped just rap it would still be an AOTY contender.
Relapse is still prime Em!
I agree even though I think Joey is out of his prime. Joey was at his best between 2012-15
If My Turn is Baby's "Prime", that shit is Tragic!!
Nuts!
Nutzo
Drake in his prime the same way Lebron is
Eminem not in his prime PERIOD you trippin and I’m a Stan
watch this dropped only a couple days ago and its already at around 60 million streams. its been kind of shock to me recently just seeing how popular and influential he is still
The original version leaked 1 or 2 years ago. I prefer that one
huh it dropped over a month ago
it's not march 12 it released feb 12
2:06 damn this probs the most intense its gotten
It's the 20th anniversary of Eminem being past his prime
😂😂
Anthony was crying inside when everytime it was said Em was not his prime
doesn't make sense to me to say drake is still in his prime but joey isn't when the arguments for joey not being in his prime are the same as drake not being in his prime. and joey's current music output is still way closer to his peak than drake's
What's that bundle you guys talk about in regards to albums sales on Streaming platforms?
Damn these guys are no chill haha
Eminem just surpassed Drake in most Spotify streams...👑👑
em is still on its commercial prime, it's just different, now nobody buys CD's and Vynils, you just stream them through your phone, and it takes 1500 streams to equal 1 sale.
Agreed. I love College Park
Big Sean is one of the GOATS imo
26:18 bro Nas’ prime extends beyond 94😂. He’s had 3 primes at the very least.
You guys should rank The Game’s discography . Would be interesting
Mid
@@AntuanPace you don’t know Hip Hop if you think Game’s discography trash stfu
idk, College Park was a great album, he’s been on a 3 album run, and i think he’s starting to re enter his prime, No Pressure, Vinyl Days and College Park is just as good of a run as Under Pressure, TITS, and BT
Eminem hasn’t been in his prime for almost 15+ years now
i like watching these dudes argue bout music
Still Eminem has Some great newer songs like, lucky you, darkness, you gon learn, the ringer, zeus and more tbh. People only see the bad things
Fr. MTBMB was solid B+. People are comparing him to his old self, not judging his new music on its own merit.
Great, you named a couple decent songs amongst a pile of mediocrity
Top 50 Rappers’ Stunted Growth
12:00 I get what y’all are saying. For me, as a new rap listener, who just got into listening to music a little less than a year ago, I really like ea, but I think you guys just had too high of expectations, and you were expecting something insane, so it disappointed you guys. But like you said it’s grown on you, that’s cus it’s actually good. Hopefully the pink tape will be really good
Drake pen game just elevating? What the fuck hahaha
"Are they at their best? No? But you could argue they are still at their prime." I feel like is a contradictory statement prime is their best imo
I kinda like how Eminem circled back to his early 'Infinite' days of just rhyming and having fun
He never found success with that project. People didn't find it appealing, didn't fit with the time, wasn't gangster during the height of gangster rap etc. There was a lot, although people have gone back to that project to say he was ahead of his time like Canibus and DOOM respectively
Now that he has no worry about success anymore, he just went back to having fun like he used to. 'MTBMB' was pretty random and carefree which reminds me of his style on 'Infinite'
Definitely not in his prime, but good to see him content with himself
Yup.. i like what Em is doing. He's been there done that, achieved everything. Now he just does whatever tf he wants do and doesn't care what anyone thinks or says... and i like him that way. Idc even if he does silly shit but..
As a fan i do wish he drops an album that would rule the world.
@@hrishid291 yeah, there's always that itch to have an artist you enjoy release that kind of dominant run again
I'm content with how he is though, he's already given us the classics and the good albums.
If he drops bad albums now, it's expected, but if he drops good albums now, it's a welcome surprise but i'm not asking for it, his career/legacy is already done you know
@@sultan788 yup
@@hrishid291You're clearly not very intelligent
post 2011 eminem has still had a really impressive career but when you factor in that he had the highest high of any rapper ever it becomes impossible for him to top, someone like nas does not have the same expectations and nobody shits on nas for that bad ye project but mention eminem and people have bring up revival. and nobody really wants “mature eminem” because that’s not who he is. he’s not going to rap about investing and crypto
Facts. Like he said on Premonition, people don't know what they want from him.
Yeah, but Nas is still wiping the floor with Eminem. I don't give a damn how much Eminem sold
yo nas earlier works are fire but his flow is always the same throughout the year as well as jay z @@Python-xs2iv
Some of drakes best r&b songs were on scorpion tho
scorpion sucks
Let’s see an episode 2 with future, lil tjay, Kendrick, j cole, nba young boy, Benny the butcher and westside Gunn. Good work guys 💪🏻
Asap Rocky is just not hungry anymore in terms of music. If you released your most hated album and don’t drop any project new in 5 years… But I enjoyed his 2022 collabs so maybe he could come back
Eminem is way past his prime
You can’t say someone is out of their prime but can get back into it. A prime is the complete peak, when you’re past that you can’t get back to that level. It’s just a contradictory comment to make
Em might be going into a 2nd prime of his career!!!🤣
Hell no
Kamikaze out performed the slim shady lp in first week sales...
Comparing the streaming era to CD times ,is not really fair,
Then technically drake outsold Michael Jackson in that case
Eminem was the highest selling solo male musician of the 2010s. That’s utterly insane to me. Not Drake. Not ye. Not Ed Sheeran or JB. Not even someone like Calvin Harris. That’s utterly insane considering he released 4 albums in that time - 2 of which were not very quality.
Sales don't equal quality
@@Python-xs2iv I think it's more of a valid measure than your oppinion
@@RobertGithinji-e5u Nah not really. Tell me that rn than Drake is better than Nas
I guess I understand what Anthony is saying abt Eminem but cmon now. Slim shady is different then what Eminem is now. The prime left ever since relapse. No question
