I always loved the ending of that mix but for me it never landed that break of pace by looping the yeah Maybe I would try breaking the pace more creating an starting loop X2 longer but muting the second part and then do the rest as he does
Thank you @djcarlo, your teaching skills are awesome. You have something for everyone. And I like how you respond positively to the toxic comment. Very good attitude. 🎉
If you watched dj Carlos other tutorials tips and tricks you would know he's already taught 10x more difficult stuff than this. Plus breakdown! I was personally waiting for him to drop a short like this cuz could possibly be James hype 2hr set condensed into 30 sec vid, lol knowing darn well dj Carlos got so many old skool turntablist tricks and new skool techniques it would make james hypes head spin 😅 jus sayin!! Cheers bro!! 🎉
Id say it's just the unique combo that someone pioneered that deserves that kind of branding. DJ tools are one thing, but putting them together to create something unique is another!
Idk if that’s a James hype trick, I think that one’s been goin around for awhile. I’ve been doing it since 2010 myself. I do think that fast start stop with the slow vinyl break is though. I never seen that till James hype and that’s pretty dope ngl.
@@djcarlo deff cool, I remember just messing around one day and doing something similar when I first started and thinking “omg I just invented this” 😂 very cool trick. Great channel too! Love watching homie!
I can't hate on him! He's actually really creative with a lot of the things he does. Based on what I've watched, he does more than push a button and move a fader
the technique is great but this particular example is just annoying to listen to, as with most james hype buildups. it ain’t even looping on the “one more time” lyric
Simply put, you'll need a jumping point to get somewhere first! I'd like to think that this James Hype build up is a good technique to learn, so you can make your own techniques and takes out of it :)
@@djcarlo sorry. I didn't mean your execution of it (you did it really well.) I just think as a transition it takes the 'hype' out of both tracks. Back when we didn't have cues etc, we'd time things through practice. Personally, I'd of timed it so that when the build up of One More Time ends where it's jusssst that vocal before the drop, I'd fade Fisher in slowly, and effect it so that we can hear a new song coming in but not sure what it is. Then instead of Daft Punk sayimg "one more time" I'd have Fisher saying "I'm loosing it" then have both drop together and keep them playing together for a while. But that's me. I'm not a famous Dj. I don't know wtf I'm doing 😅 ... I like "the third song" approach 😉

serious Q:
FISHER vs James Hype? who u got?
That backspin echo sound is so clean
I cant do that backspin sound 😢 ddj200 n android
@@TTV_Dj_Gamer_09 IDK how but it echos at the end so clean
The track is stopped and volume fader all the way down and it still echoes. Puzzling to mean but it still sounds pretty dope.
@@David.Stoglin carlos please ? Shine your light on us and tell us how? Haha
@@TTV_Dj_Gamer_09set the Fx to 'post' and not 'pre'.
My toxic trait is thinking i could do this first try
Nah fam, I wouldn't say toxic. But don't give up trying to do it!
I always loved the ending of that mix but for me it never landed that break of pace by looping the yeah
Maybe I would try breaking the pace more creating an starting loop X2 longer but muting the second part and then do the rest as he does
Try it out! Make it your own routine 🥳

Always be positive! (Except for viruses, gotta keep healthy) Life is too short to spread hate. Just gotta learn to live and appreciate! 🥳
as James Hype would do after...
debrief rating: its a 10/10
Hahahaha, I love it!
This is fire. Great tutorial, DJ Carlo
Thank you! The full tutorial is here on the channel as well if you wanna check it out! 🥳

Hahahaha, yes, and there's even more to come!
I really like this technique!
It's pretty cool right? Loved using it!
Fire Bro show knowing great say may go no show roll so great state !
Always gotta keep the mixes fire! Glad you enjoyed it!
thanks for your sharing and teaching.
Youre very welcome! Always happy to share the knowledge!
Thanks for these tutorials 🙏🏽
You're very welcome! Don't forget to check out the full tutorials as well!
Love to dj and love you brother ❤️❤️
Keep that passion alive buddy!
@@djcarloyep ❤️
if you low pass filter the song while rhythmically cut the loop it would sound a lot better during transitioning btw solid tutorial
That's a great idea!
husay talaga ni idol! di ako ngkamali ng iidoluhin hahah
Salamat papi! Hahaha, makes me feel good! :)
Great, i will try it tomorrow!
Go for it! You'll have a blast, I guarantee you
but i don’t wanna be like someone else
You can take these methods and add your own "spin" to them! Knowing the techniques is one thing, creating something new from them is another! :D
I see it as just a training exercise.. helps you develop skills and dexterity, then you can deploy those skills in your own way
Thank you Carlo.
You're very welcome! Hope you get to recreate this little routine!
Thank you for showing me😊
For sure! Don't forget to try it for yourself too!
again a great tutorial. thank you
Youre always welcome! I enjoy putting these out there!
@@djcarlo thanks i just startet DJing 2 month ago with the ddj flx4 and i love it. your tutorials help me very much
Will it be possible in Numark Mixtrack Quad plsor which console will be good n with less price pls🙏🙏
I think so! It really matters more on the software you're using
@@djcarlo thank you so much❤️ I use Virtual DJ Pro version 🙏
Smooth.
That's how I like doing my mixes! :D
Wrong losing it section. The right section is the build up before the final drop
Fair, but it still works, doesn't it?
Hi, i was just wondering, Where do you get your songs ?
I get them all from record pools, like BPMSupreme, Crate Connect, MyMP3Pool, etc
How did I know you were gonna que in Fisher 😂
Lol, I've taught this mix so many times that you've probably heard it already in one form or another here 🤭
@@djcarlo Oh true lol
Hate when they name fx routines after someone there dj tools 🔧
Id say it's just the unique combo that someone pioneered that deserves that kind of branding. DJ tools are one thing, but putting them together to create something unique is another!
not me just slider the red and blue bar from left to right on the beat
Time to up your game then! Haha
Nice Nice Nice Nice Nice Nice nice
Thanks! Really glad you enjoyed the quick routine
Wow
Cool stuff right?
Any techniques for Pioneer DDJ 200?
A lot of these can be done with the 200. Check out the other tutorials as well! Remapping will unlock a bunch of these techniques for the 200 as well
It looks so complicated to re-create 😱
It does, but once you break it down step by step, slowly, it becomes much easier! :)

It's actually an old technique indeed, but with some added flare from newer features on Rekordbox and whatnot. Cool though, right?
@@djcarlo deff cool, I remember just messing around one day and doing something similar when I first started and thinking “omg I just invented this” 😂 very cool trick. Great channel too! Love watching homie!
On the last part you need to manually shorten the loop with the jog wheel
You can do either! I believe I used the jogwheel method in some of my other tutorials and mix with mes
That's like someone telling Bruce Lee how to do a karate kick 😂
@@propertymaintenancesouthwe3111 I know I know he's better then 99.9% of djs including me, I just say how James hype does that
@Giacomo_23 I have also watched James hype and others use jog wheel to tighten it up tbh
How to be better than James Hype. Touch a button and move a slide. Congrats! You're now better than James "Don't Believe The" Hype.
I can't hate on him! He's actually really creative with a lot of the things he does. Based on what I've watched, he does more than push a button and move a fader
the technique is great but this particular example is just annoying to listen to, as with most james hype buildups.
it ain’t even looping on the “one more time” lyric
It'll be a much larger mess to deal with if it looped at One More Time 😆
how do you get that fading sound from pressing play/pause. mine just instantly cuts off the song
Check out my Best Settings video and my James Hype tutorial! Answers are all there
Your own style of mixing is more better than this , why does everybody want to be like james hype ? He is really good but why 😂
Simply put, you'll need a jumping point to get somewhere first! I'd like to think that this James Hype build up is a good technique to learn, so you can make your own techniques and takes out of it :)
How bout just don’t 😂😂
Just let folks enjoy what they do and have fun with their tracks 🥳
I'm so tired of everyone trying to do this.
Many try, but few succeed. Tbh, I want people to learn how to do this, but to also put their own spin to it; use their own tracks etc
I wouldnt say thats a nice transition tho 😅
To each their own!
DJ level 1 trick. 😂😂😂😂 NOTHING!!
It just sounds corny to me
Then that means you should have no problem doing it in your owns sets, and so much more! 🥳
To me this feels weak.
I guess you're too advanced for this trick hehe 😅
