      The track is stopped and volume fader all the way down and it still echoes. Puzzling to mean but it still sounds pretty dope.

    I always loved the ending of that mix but for me it never landed that break of pace by looping the yeah
    Maybe I would try breaking the pace more creating an starting loop X2 longer but muting the second part and then do the rest as he does

    If you watched dj Carlos other tutorials tips and tricks you would know he's already taught 10x more difficult stuff than this. Plus breakdown! I was personally waiting for him to drop a short like this cuz could possibly be James hype 2hr set condensed into 30 sec vid, lol knowing darn well dj Carlos got so many old skool turntablist tricks and new skool techniques it would make james hypes head spin 😅 jus sayin!!     if you low pass filter the song while rhythmically cut the loop it would sound a lot better during transitioning btw solid tutorial

    Idk if that’s a James hype trick, I think that one’s been goin around for awhile. I’ve been doing it since 2010 myself. I do think that fast start stop with the slow vinyl break is though. I never seen that till James hype and that’s pretty dope ngl.

      It's actually an old technique indeed, but with some added flare from newer features on Rekordbox and whatnot. Cool though, right?

    On the last part you need to manually shorten the loop with the jog wheel

    the technique is great but this particular example is just annoying to listen to, as with most james hype buildups.

      Simply put, you'll need a jumping point to get somewhere first! I'd like to think that this James Hype build up is a good technique to learn, so you can make your own techniques and takes out of it :)

      @@djcarlo sorry. I didn't mean your execution of it (you did it really well.) I just think as a transition it takes the 'hype' out of both tracks. Back when we didn't have cues etc, we'd time things through practice. Personally, I'd of timed it so that when the build up of One More Time ends where it's jusssst that vocal before the drop, I'd fade Fisher in slowly, and effect it so that we can hear a new song coming in but not sure what it is. Then instead of Daft Punk sayimg "one more time" I'd have Fisher saying "I'm loosing it" then have both drop together and keep them playing together for a while. But that's me. I'm not a famous Dj. I don't know wtf I'm doing 😅 ... I like "the third song" approach 😉
