      Melo wasn’t “too good” to be a side kick at all. He would have been a perfect side kick actually. Melo was never that superstar dawg who would make a team title contender. His Knicks got hammered against Pacers. If he left Knicks, Melo would have definitely have legacy even if he joined Heat or Cavs

      Dude if Melo went there then Miami win 4 straight. Even with Lebron having a meltdown in the finals, Wade and Melo would be too much for Dallas. And Melo had way more gas in the tank than Wade and Bosh had. Wade was on the dip from 2013 and Melo was still elite at that time and for a few years after so who knows. Maybe Bron stays and they win even more in Miami.

      Scottie Pippin realize he had no legacy when the last dance came out that's why he hates Jordan now

    I’ll never forget when my bulls had that championship window tough defense, Thibs was coaching, Noah was at dpoy level even mvp noise, rose was healthy, deep bench, we just needed a bucket getter to help rose, But of course melo doesn’t come.

    Championships are not guaranteed. The only thing that's guaranteed is the dollars on your contract. He made money, he was one of the best players in the era, and he created a legacy for him and his family.

      Melo, great scorer, sure. But Black hole on offense, no off-ball movement, zero on defense...He's nearly a NET ZERO in the game. Whether he scored 20 or 40 pts, his team would barely do worse if he just sat on the bench.

    Nah, Carmelo was greedy and wanted all the money available to him. In reality he should have done a wilder version of what his peers did earlier in his career and took the veterans minimum and been the 4th man on the Heat and they would he would have won those 8 championships LeBron was talkin about atbthat pep rally. Then he would have been a "legend" like the rest of them.

    I'm glad he didn't join LeBron and Wade in miami that wouldn't have made his legacy same way it taints both LeBrons and Wades. Teaming up with 3 top 10 guys in their prime doesn't make you great. But Melos weakness was never becoming great on defense being one sided on the court never wins the ultimate prize.
    09' nuggets was his best team but Kobe existed and ain't many better than him. Plus the move to the Knicks gutting the roster was dumb af

    He chose right by following his own path except that he could have made better decisions within the path he chose. He had really good people around him too throughout his career. But even if he made the right decisions, like not thinking only about money or letting his ego get in the way, he still would never have won a championship anyway. He was a very good player, no doubt about it. But he isn’t THAT guy.
