It’s even funnier because Yzma originally had a whole musical number in the original movie, which was recorded and storyboarded, but ultimately scrapped.
As I was watching this video, I actually wondered if the show writers took some inspiration from Doofenshmirtz since the two characters are so similar, especially with Yzma's new backstory in the series. But nope, apparently the Emperor's New School series came out a whole year before Phineas and Ferb did. If I had a nickel for everytime a Disney had an "old, mildly-evil scientist who's actually just a sad, lonely nerd with repressed childhood trauma" as a villain for one of their animated shows, I'd have two nickels. As funny as Ysaur’s upbringing is, it’s also a bit surreal how much it almost mirrors that of Eartha Kitt’s (her voice actor) which was a lot darker. Eartha also had little family (the few she did have were abusive), and was bullied and outcasted for being a mixed race girl of color in the 1930-40s. But she was always passionate about her dreams, which was singing and performing, and worked hard to achieve them. After she became famous, many white people were jealous and suspicious of her simply for being a successful black woman. Also, she was indeed very gorgeous.

@krishnavinesh5638 She didn't do anything bad til she murdered the whole school. The laughing scene was partially in her head, the teacher who cared about her wasn't actually laughing.
The fact that she didn't kill Kuzco as an infant when his dad left shows that she at least cared a little about him. Maybe she felt bad since he only had his dad (whos busy/not around) while she had a shitty family and was always alone. He even kept her around as an adult, due to incompetence or gratitude being another matter.
I think the fact that he let her be the principal even after everything says a lot. I think they do still have that parent/child attachment to one another and pity for one another
The weird thing is in Episode "Cool Summer" we got to see what Yzma looked like when she was younger due to water from the Fountain of Youth and the girl was DYNAMITE! Enough so that Kuzco crushed on her. So Yzma's appearance in these flashbacks is a little contradictory.

In a brilliantly performed but unused song Yzma recalled her father who she was close to was the royal morticuan who taught her all she knows about potions and helped her secure her station, i guess Yzma was a daddys girl and considering her lonely and awful life he was likely her only positive influence, but sadly the song in which she talks about her dad and her evil plan to snuff out the light were unused.
