Got these for specifically gaming. And I'm impressed I had to replace my audio Technica 40x after 3 years and after using these headsets for gaming, music, and movies I was blown away for the price. The material feels to plastic but let it bring you down this pack a punch once you eq them. you can easily make out foot steps. I did had to replace the 3.5m to 6.35 cable after a year for these, but I do recommend these. You can't really go wrong for 40$.
Thanks for the review man, I wasn't sure first if I want to order the headphones or not but now, It looks like it's extremely useful especially me making Nightcore music for my channel...Thanks
If you’re just playing to jam, they will be ok. If you are monitoring for recording, you should spend a few extra bucks and get something with more range. You can always check the used section at B and H for some Sony’s or Sennheiser’s. You’ll want to make sure your mix is just right.
Is this headphone considered flat? I've been using it for a while now, and from what I hear, its low frequencies are too boosted. I Have other cheaper headphone which i think better than this.
I would not call these a very dynamic headphone. They are cheap, but for what they are work fairly well. I do use them still from time to time. I mostly keep these in a camera bag to check levels.
I don't have them with me, but I believe both earphones have an input jack. This is because you can jump off the headphones and input a second pair of headphones from them.
Great vid! :) would you recommend this for quite instrument playing? been looking for decent yet affordable headphones that I could plug in directly to my amp for quite practice. Thanks!
Yup. I think these would work great for that. I personally use a tube amp, so it’s to high output to test, it for a solid state amp these would work just fine.
@@Levelrapper If you are mastering audio, I would recommend some higher end head phones. You will not get all the subtle differences with these. My main use is to monitor audio in the filed, or editing at night when everyone else is sleeping. I finalize audio with studio speakers or a high end pair of Sennheisers.
john tang impersonally use sennheiser headphones as my go to before this review. I do think my sennheiser’s sound a little better, but for 3-4 times the price. But the Maono’s were very continued wear for an hour or two at a clip. I cannot comment to the Sony’s as I haven’t used a pair of Sony headphones in years. Those sennheiser’s were just too damn good. Now I will not be replacing my old sennheiser headphones with these Maono’s but I will be putting them in a second camera bag, and using them when I edit at home and my tot is screaming her lungs off. But for anyone looking to get some quality equipment for a good price, these MH601’s are a great start.

They're not really tight fitting and are prone to falling out if you move too hard, and the stock earcups are a bit small for my ear.
