    Kendrick is the better choice based on showmanship. He will be the first rapper to headline the halftime show. This will be rap history and Kendrick would be the right guy to do it.

    I've said this many times before and ill repeat it again. Anyone who cares about Wayne as a person would never want him to perform. He is obviously unable to remember lyrics and physically wouldnt give what is needed for a performance of that caliber. The man has a lot of healing he needs to do, both physically and mentally. Even if Kendrick didnt get that gig, i still wouldn't have expected it to go to Wayne. The people screaming about "why wasn't it Wayne" are only doing so because not only are they Kendrick haters, they also selfishly wanted Wayne to get the gig so they could share the stage with him. They're only in it for themselves. Young Money as a label is toxic af!!!!! They hate on each other openly and dont support each othr when theyre down bad. Jay Z had to step in and help Wayne with his money issues when fellow label mates and "friends" are also rich enough to have done that if they wanted to and if they cared as much as they pretend to. This yet another crabs in a bucket situation that shows you the true character of people who should be more grown because theyre in their 40s and 50s and yet behave like teenagers. Pathetic!!!

      Couldn't have said it better myself. Nicki's narcissistic self just wanted to be up there. And Birdman got some nerve calling out Jay-z, when Jay helped Wayne out of 14 million in tax trouble , while Birdman owed him 50 million and tried to get him deleted.

    • @amorelockster1023
      @amorelockster1023 3 месяца назад

      @@ielohim2423I don’t think Nick I wanted to be on stage with him tbh. People forget that Nicki and Wayne are still close and Jay Z was spotted with Wayne for months. I honestly believe Wayne thought he was going to get it simply because him and Jay Z were in the talks about it because why else would he have such expectations. Let’s also not act like Nicki was the only one because when Nicki was going on her rants she was actually speaking facts and calling Jay z out for how he did Colin. Other male rappers came out and people just jump on Nicki. Why would Nicki expect to be on the superbowl stage when it’s known she doesn’t like Jay Z and Jay Z has to approve of who’s being brought out etc and Jay Z owes her money. Kanye also came out about Jay Z owing him money as well. Jay Z might have helped Wayne with his debt but he still has lowballed other artist but people don’t care or talk about it because he’s one of the industry gatekeepers.

    I find it weird that people expected Lil Wayne to headline or even be invited to perform a song at all just because he’s from NOLA. Kendrick has been on fire lately & all in the media due to Like That & everything that came after. Kendrick definitely deserved this. Unfortunately for Lil Wayne his years of drinking & doing drugs has caught up with him. I don’t think that he has the stamina to perform at the Superbowl successfully nor is he in his prime anymore. Not to say people only deserve to perform when in their prime but I don’t think that Wayne takes putting on a good show seriously.

He went harder for the Steelers when they went to the superbowl more than The Saints. Like WHY? Oh ALL OF THE COMMENTARY ON THIS- this is BY FAR the best.

    My thing is, why does it matter? Where was this outrage when other artists performed in cities that they weren't from. Granted, Kendrick had a big year, I don't blame them for picking him to do the half-time show. The clips I've seen of Lil Wayne performances, it doesn't look like he's all the way there. I think people are missing the point. Nicki doesn’t hate Kendrick and knows he will put on a great show. The issue is JAY Z had Wayne prepare his album rollout in time for the superbowl, kept meeting with him in negotiations about it then SNUBBED him. He shouldn’t have wasted Wayne’s time if he was going to do this. And he only did this because Kendrick dissed Drake and Jay z hates Drake. Nicki was trying to expose the fact Jay z is obsessed with Young Money and has been for years. This is also a ironic because Wayne said if he ever got to do the Super Bowl he wouldn’t bring ANY Nola artists out and it would just be him, yet Nola artists are the main people speaking up for him now.

Dre, Snoop, Em, 50 and Kendrick got to be on that stage because they all perform to a very high standard and consistently. They’re not gonna be forgetting lyrics or too messed up to even speak. There’s also the possibility Wayne might drop from a seizure mid performance. Kendrick has already shown that he has it to be the headliner. I think it’s as simple as Wayne being a liability.
